Hello,
Still no info on how to do this? I want to create a custom ROM using your guide and after I am done, I want to have widgets on my home screen and some setting like I want them.
I have not tried it but i think you need to coppy data files from data folder...

Hi!
I don`t know if you got the answer by now, or already knew this, but I found how you can change some of the settings and have some things as you like, right from the start when you first flash a ROM.
Using apktool you have to decompile SettingsProvider.apk and edit the \res\values\bools.xml file. And maybe the other files in the values folder.
Still trying to find out how you can change more values.
If you gain some knowledge about this, please do tell.
Thanks!
I think it can be done by copying data from phone to rom.. like data of launcher or something...
Just a guess so not sure if it will work... can't try it till jan(busy in exams) but when i try it i will report it here...
Thanks...

Hey, this isn't the marketplace
Not sure what you're doing wrong, I set pngs as icons in LPP all the time... explain how/when you get the error.

is he makes his screen invisible so that I can't see it?
be cool, thats only a joke. btw, the lockscreen is integrated within sistemUI.apk or framework-res.apk . I'm not make sure which one since I never modify a lockscreen before. I figure it because my lockscreen changed when I push those file in my rom
EDIT: ups...sorry. you haven't uploaded it when i write this post
Lock screen is from widget locker

you can use desktop visualizer or you can open every apk to change out the icon in each ones res/drawable-hdpi and zip it back up using 7zip(make sure you use normal and you have apk at the end and not zip)
Thanks! Will give it a try

Is there anyway to theme apps on the go? Meaning replace some icons, images with the phone....
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Nope you need to decompile the apk and change the files which cant be done on the device.
You could use a custom launcher to change the image it uses for the icon but it won't actually change the apps icon

They are Stock Samsung widgets..scroll on to the widget section in App Drawer..
However if you are on AOSP based ROMS you will have to install Samsung based firmware/custom ROM..
Sorry i meant that i want to extract the widgets from the rom and mod them to make them transparent.
