I have a question about flashing and interesting modification to my Samsung Galaxy 5, if possible without having to flash the Rom itself.
Anway, does anyone have the 14 toggle power control system for the notification bar? I have searched but came up short.
Your help is appreciated!

I'm not totally sure about this but I think you have to flash the rom to get those toggles. I remember when I deleted the APK file for the original status bar and tried to install the another different status bar, and it ended up just disappearing lol.

You can try copying all of the apk's in system/framework and app/systemui.apk from a rom that has it to your device, but if that doesn't work, then no.

And also what version of stock precisely?
AOKP 4 LYF
Android 2.3.3
Sorry for late reply i was out of home.
SGS is not SGA... Read and learn something before you do anything. Now install ROM manager... NOT! It WILL brick your phone.
I know i was dumb.
So is here any option to bring this phone back to work without reinstalling ROM?
yes use uotkitchen and use it to make new battery icon

Has anyone got the UOT Kitchen working on the Galaxy S2 running one of the ICS ROMS (either ported or leaked stock) to be able to change the battery and status bar icons?
I'm trying to create a plain white set of icons and white circle battery to match more with the Google notifications for Music, GMail etc. instead of the TW grey that Samsung uses on their ROMS.
I choose the mods, upload framework and tw-framework, get the zip but it errors out in CWM???
Any ideas???
Is it possible yet?

I don't think it supports ICS yet, also you need to upload the SystemUI.apk because ICS uses that now for almost everything UI related.
I think i read on the i9000 board that you have to select emmc in the edify section. Havent tried it yet though.

I've tried it with uploading 2 files (framework and system) and it would not install the zip. I've also tried it with uploading 3 files (above plus the tw one) and uot kitchen was not able to generate a file.
I tried to change the battery to a white circle one with numbers. In to see if there is a solution to this.

This is what I'm getting too.
If you change to EMMC and upload framework and tw-framework only, it DOES create the zip, but when you install it it only changes some of the icons (the downloading file icon for example.) Not the signal strength, wifi, alarm clock or battery though.
I tried it just gives some error and doant let u download it like ntfs or some other code

Hey guys, yesterday I've wanted to set the sensewiz theme, but don't wanted it anymore and broke installation up in wiping notification sounds progress (the first one). Now I've only have 3 sounds left, can anyone please upload them and show me how to set them back?
Thank you!

It's over 25MB zipped....
Suggest you download a CWM version of the ROM you have, or any similar ROM (Wanam's ROMs are a good start) and simply extract the /system/media contents and copy then fix permissions.
I have searched the whole forum, and I found something for CM10 but flashing it gave me bootloop...
Is there anything to make status bar transparant? I tried SystemUI.apk but only ****ed it up so I needed to reflash.
Thanks in advance.

You didn't give us any information to help you.
What ROM are you on? CM11, CM10.2, CyanFox, SlimKat, Stock Sense 4+, 5.0, 5.5 maybe, the list goes on and on.
All is tweakable on Viper, if you like sense ROMs. On the others, each one is different.
What did you expect with your vague question?
I am on stock DNA rom Sense 5.0, Android 4.2.2

Well, if you like sense roms and your phone is rooted S-Off, I strongly recommend Viper 2.5.0.
It's based off 4.2.2 Sense 5.0 and everything can be tweaked, including but not limited to, the status bar icons.
Give it a try. I think you'll like it. :good:
S -off is Off. I'll give DNA a shot
Where is the update file there are over 500 pages on the rom??

What icons are you looking to change? You could simply pull SystemUI.apk from your device, swap in the new icon images (using something like 7zip) and replace it back on your device. No need to flash an entire new rom

Installing a whole new rom is going to be easier and safer than modifying files of your current rom
This is true but being a novice I can't seem to get it right. Soft brick phone and have to restore back up. Tried Viper Rom and I don't know if its normal but take about 1 + minute to boot up. When I 1st did it it got stuck on the boot screen. Some how got out of there. Did a complete wipe and yet all my previous files were on folder on the SD card named "O". None of my paid apps worked. I used Viper DNA 1.3.5. I wish there were better instructions for us dummies!!
