I tried searching here and even on google but didnt find any answers. So i decided to start a thread. Do any of you know the difference between these 3 different models and most importantly can all 3 use the roms in this (i9300) section?
GT-I9300 is international version. I9300T is the same but it uses a modem that can get 850mhz. I9300x im not to sure about but i think for that version the ROMS and kernels made in this forum will not work and will brick the device.

flashing an I9300 ROM may brick your device. brick is a brick and can be used at a construction area.

That's because you flashed an s3 kernel. You need to get the s2 one..

Also, Siyah doesn't support the I9100G, as far as I know.

Thanks guys for your replying.
Looks like 9100G is not a friendly phone, I tried a lot but still cannot install a favorable custom os.
Because you need to find a rom made specially for i9100G! You cant install a rom made for i9100.

Yeah, I'm aware of the difference. Any recommendation? Thanks.
I may try CM10 when it gets stable although its camera app is a bit disappointing.

Hi guys, this is my first post and I'm sorry in advance if it's in the wrong place.
I'm from Argentina and I'm planning to buy an SII because I can't find the SIII anywhere.
The thing is that the model of the SII is listed as GT-i9100L, What does the L stand for? Will I be able to flash i9100 roms on it, or they just work on the i9100 version? I want to know because if I can't I won't buy it.
I apologize if this has already been posted, but I searched and couldn't find something related...
Thank you!

You can't flash i9100 ROMs on i9100L. You can search for ROMs intended for i9100L. If there is not, then don't buy S2 then.

Try the S3 toolkit - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488
OP.. Are you trying to root ICS or JB on your i9300t? I just did a quick Google search and there are guides out there to root JB on the S3 i9300t.
Here's just one of the ones I clicked on..

Cf root should work for your phone even on ics. At least that's what I've read but most people recommend flashing a stock jelly bean Rom and then rooting from there.

What problem you have to root?
I got a I9300T and all root options for the I9300 work fine. The only difference is that the T model is said to work better on the 850mhz frequency.
But please correct me if I am wrong.

I think the T model prefers the 850mhz, I'm not entirely sure, but the differences are minimal and any i9300 should work on the t model.
Yes there are roms specifically for I9300t which are really all about the radio.
Check out gharrington's 3minit rom in the Android dev section.

Hi I'm new to this but I've been following xda for about a year.
Can I flash my Australian Telstra Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300T Jelly Bean 4.1.2 I9300TDUELL2 ROM and replace it with the International, Unbranded Version I9300XXEMB5 originally made for the GT-I9300?
Will this cause any problems and is it indeed possible for me to perform this operation, as many Mods, such as InkEffect, do not support that ROM Version?
Thanks in advance
it's possible, but you might have modem issues

As said before, you can and try different modems (I9300 or T model once) till you got a good one. I am running the same setup and got no issue at all.

So basically in an attempt to unroot my omega 4.5 running galaxy s3 t-i9300 i ended up bricking it!
I managed to fix this issue by restoring the right firmware which is compatible with m440s however this is an skt file and some of the aspects within the phone are chinese for instance the phone.

It is not an i9300, it is a Korean model. Suggest you find a forum specifically for your phone. This forum is for the international model i9300. Checking on sammobile, only Korean firmware is available.

so whats my next step?
Just looking, there is a thread in the general section about rooting/custom roms, etc for your device. I would go to general and search for it.
Did you find the software?
Sent from my SHW-M440S using xda app-developers app
Yes there is a thread for Korean models... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749214
You have two choices... 1, download official firmware from somewhere like sammobile and installing it or 2, downloading any custom rom for the i9300 and reading up on how to install it on the m440s page of that thread.
As its not a UK phone there will be no UK firmware for it.Will it work in the UK that depends upon basebands and modem.
