Has anyone came across where the phone automatically shuts down even though says battery is at 60% and above even at 85% just force closes the phone system even had it where the battery light [red] flashes and have to leave phone off for a minute then it will turn on ok but them once it does boot after 1 min shuts down again
Tried battery calibration to no effect could it be the battery itself dying or could it be a fault with a kernel even though I've tried roughly 5-6 kernels and it does it all the same and on 5-6 different roms if anyone has any suggestion please don't hesitate I'm getting abit fed up of it doing it

hey dunc4n88, which ROM are u using right now?
If it's possible provide the link of it, so we can check if there any kernel update or error reported because of the same as you
I'm on ravij jb beats audio light rom with doomkernel v6 medium oc but tried loads of different kernels and roms and all of them the same I'm I've also noticed aswell I can't update busybox it'll update then once phone reboots it reverts back to old one

Yeah it is I noticed it today when I had the battery out also can tell its swollen up as the back cover doesn't sit flush anymore so battery problem it is then?

Ok I can tell you a cheeky trick to keep you going til new battery arrives
Place battery flat on a surface
Using a hammer GENTLY TAP AWAY until it's almost back in shape I STRESS GENTLY. Don't pop the cells
This worked for me while i waited for a new battery
That should push the cells back together
When u get new battery charge for no more than 2-3 hours at a time
Charging for a long time causes battery to Bleb from what I've heared

I can live with it for now just frustrating at times. For replacement battery should I go for same mAh on stock battery or go for higher spec mAh and what would be the benefits

Hi guys,
Just finally worked out how to flash, root, etc and finally getting to CM7 (noobie here go easy :3) so i basically used the noob tutorial over in the x10 general area. So I'm CM7 everythings working fine its alot snappier and i love it, but the battery life on it isn't so great while in use when im not using it its fine but it just appears to be chewing the juice a little more compared to the stock 2.3.3.. any ideas guys?
Cheers.
What are your screen settings? They should be auto brightness off, screen on lowest brightness, and screen timeout on 15 seconds.
What are your other settings, the GPS settings should be off, along with Bluetooth, and wifi unless your using it.
Sent from my Atrix XDA Premium App
Hey thanks for the reply, auto is off brightness would be about 30% and bluetooth GPS wifi are only on when I need it otherwise 3g and data is on always..

The way I do it is to drain the phones battery till it dies, then charge it when the phone is off. Wait till its done, then turn on the phone to see if your at 100%. That should do the trick, but a better method is by a member with the name of omegared has a guide for battery calibrating. I recommend finding the guide. Its in the general section of the x10 section. Hope this helps.
Sent from my Atrix XDA Premium App
Ok awesome i will give that a go in the mean while i will look into that tutorial if i need to run through the guide.
Thanks for helping me out, im still learning hopefully i will get the hang of if more fluently.
Cheers.
Calibrating your battery will help.

After calibrating my battery drops 1% over 5 an a half hours on idle.
I'm running CM7-ZMOD and DoomKernel v05
Yeah I have done a re calibration and I have now a stronger battery life idle is insane hardly any loss. I noticed u have a doom kernal I'm wanting to put one of his on aswell. My question is I recall someone o/c his x10 to 1.2ghz can this be done and left without having to revert back? As a daily use?
Sent from my X10 using XDA App
Calibration is simple
Charge your phone to 100%
Switch off
Boot into xRecovery, goto advanced options, wipe battery stats, yes
Reboot
Pull the battery with charger connected
Reinsert after 10secs
Note that battery is now at 88%
Again charge to 100%...
Repeat for 4-5times.
CALIBRATED!

Yea I'm using doom's o/c kernel which 1.2ghz. You may use software like setcpu or cpu master etc.. using the "set on boot" option. It will automatically set it to your desired speed upon boot up.
Hello everybody,
I have a big-small problem with my X10. My phone is charging but very hard. It take about 6 hours till battery is full. I think it is a hardware problem. I hope not..
Any suggestion is wellcome. I wasn't to any GSM Service with him...so i don't know nothing about that.
P.S
I have that charging problem from the begining, not for soon.
Hi, you could try the Battery Calibration method and see if it helps.

I've tryed almost all ROM's from XDA ( except MIUI cause i don't like iOS interface ). Custom and stock ROM's...
That's why i think it is a hardware problem
That's really weird... maybe you should check the battery itself. You can do a physical recalibrate by wrapping the battery in newspaper and store it in the fridge. I'm not joking, it really refreshes the battery. Anyway it depends on you
Sent from my Xperia X10 using XDA App
Have you tried with a different charger? I was facing the same problem, exchanged chargers with my sister and now instead of 6 hours to almost full charge it takes only 1

Nothing to worry. Use ac charger. It uses 3.12v on average but usb uses 3.72v onn average.
Insert the charger and open up your back cover. Put it near an air conditioner or over an icepack. Don't let the temperature drop below 31degree Celsius, else it will moisten the internal parts. It will charge your phone within 2hours!
Try this trick. If it works, i will tell you the logic behind this stuff

Hey guys I'm getting some really slow battery charge over here. I've had my phone plugged in the OEM ac charger for over 3h now and it went from 5% to 50% and the phone is getting hot also. I haven't touched it at all for those 3h and data is off so no internet. I don't get it. It's usually fairly quick maybe 1 to 100 for about 2h.
Edit: I'm running capcomalpha with fraux kernel and stock battery.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA
The following suggestion may be of no help in your case, but I've experienced something like this as well, mainly with CWM that doesn't support off-charging. The phone will look like its charging but is actually drawing just enough energy to keep the phone alive. Also, the charging light will turn off after 15 mins or so. One way to ensure that your phone is getting charged adequately is to check the screen; if you see an ultra-dim screenshot of CWM then you'll have to periodically remove the charger and reinsert it "restart" the charge. Then try to boot into android to complete the charge.
The phone is on I rebooted it and it jumped from 55% to 68%

You bumped a thread that was still on the first page after only 7 1/2 hours? Please don't do that again, not that I agree with bumping threads, but it is for when something needs brought back to the first page, not while it is on the first page.
do your have a case on? the trapped heat is cause the phone to slow down charging. it is a safety feature. off the case and flip over when charging. it should charge faster.

What version of Recovery are you on and as you said your using faux kernel. Try to revert to stock recovery or stock kernel and see if there is a change or behavior of your phone. And try aand see if fastboot is check on your power under settings..
you said it was hot. maybe you have some app in background using cpu. hence power drain and overheating.

Ok i swithed to stock kernel and its doing the same thing. I reflashed the rom and didnt install any apps to see if thats the case. I also noticed ita doing it only when the battery is low- 10% or less. Then the phone heats up and its barely charging. If its above 50% it charges fairly quckly and doesnt heat up. Ill see how stock kernel does tonight and report back.

You battery may need calibrated
Power off phone
Plug into wall charger
Leave phone off until you reach 100% charge
Boot phone to xRecovery and wipe battery stats
Pull battery out for 10 seconds
Put battery back
Charge again to 100%
Wipe battery stats again
Boot phone up and charge once more to 100%
Then leave charging for 30 more minutes
Unplug charger
Goto settings / about / status
See if it says 100%
Leave phone for 5 minutes
Check battery stats again
Should show 100% still
Please note mobile data connection eats battery if you have syncs set too often

It seems I got the same problem.
On a full standby (wifi, data, gps, bt screen, etc all off) it usually wasted 1% per hour, I mean, if I went to sleep for 8 hours after a full charge, it should had wasted only about 8-10& of my battery, getting me about 3 days (72h) of battery.
Now, again on full standby after 1h30m I have only ~88% of battery. With data on and using it, I have nearly 1h15min of full charge... Its nothing...
Already tried 2 diferent kernels, Cosmic but non OC, and v1113 dooms, both go well on deep sleep, just cant get whats going on since it was from nothing. On 4 distinc roms (FeraLab v20, Dolphin v2.2.8, Cosmic v06 and old TEAMs) it happens.
The time it took me to write this, it waster 7%..
Any ideas?

I've always used FeraLab on Doom's even when ferakernel didn't exists and never had problems.
The weird thing is that sometimes it drains for example till 48%, then after 2h it goes to 51%, and after that it behaves normal (10h = 10%), then the drain begins
