I not too long ago bought the samsung galaxy s2 i9100g, i know that ics is available for the i9100g but i dont know how to get it because ota says not updates available and so does kies can anyone help me? btw i am on Gingerbread 2.3.6J PLC1

There's lots of guides on rooting you should always search first.
One thing: downgrade to 4.0.3 before doing anything.

You should spend a bit of time researching before you attempt anything.If you dont then youll be back on here whingeing about bootloop or Odin doesnt work....or bricked.
What is the point of telling you to flash a rooted kernel via Odin if youve not read the tutorials.
Or root,then flash a safe kernel using stock recovery>cwm.
And at the moment you are on firmware that could lead to a bricked phone if you do the wrong thing.

Just factory reset the phone and it would be fine ... if it still gives u problem..just flash the firmware again ... u can either use CF root by chainfire or philz kernel ..make sure to use same kernel file as u have on ur device and ur phone will be rooted ... if u need more help , just reply to the thread

Hi guys ..just wanted to ask that currently im using resurection Rom and wanted to go back to stock but dont knw my stock product code,PDA,PHONE &CSC etc. So can i flash it with any latest stock rom available like i live in india can i flash the rom of spain from sammobile??
The latest stock ROM for India is XWLPW 4.0.4. You can find it on samfirmware.com . There is no Jellybean for India and it will probably release only after all the major countries get it first. (maybe by Feb end or March, I'm looking at July as the latest)
The Spain ROM is a test version IMHO, so that ain't stock.

You can definitely try that, it will not brick your phone. When i tried it i did not get any mobile signal... Maybe it was just me. Always make a backup...and wipe before flashing any new ROMs.

If you have an I9100 yes, you can flash LS8 from sammobile.

If you are rooted download any jb rom available for ur phone thru Sam mobile... And flash it thru mobile odin... If you are not rooted you can still use pc version of odin

I follow this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382579 to update my phone and it said that it should have this ClockworkMod Recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693&page=5
I used Odin to do the ClockworkMod Recovery part and it said that it successful, but my phone isn't working, it shows only the logo of Samsung and the yellow triangle and it doesn't go any further than that. How can I fix it please? And can you tell me how I can update my phone into that ROM ?

Flash stock firmware 4.1.2 with Odin. Do this first then come Bk and report. Don't do any wipes with 4.0.4. firmware from sammobile.com. so to recap get off 4.0.4 and go to 4.1.2 say lsw then come Bk.

no i haven't copy anything yet ... and my phone is already rooted but just to be sure my phone doesn't get crash if i update to [ROM][GT-I9100][JB][4.3.0] CyanogenMod 10.2 so I follow the instruction and I get stuck in the part of using Odin and put that ClockworkMod Recovery that he said in the topic. @stopro

U wil find stock roms quicker
1.
Flash by odin rom.tar file put into pda in odin flash let phone boot
2.
Then boot again into download mode
Put dorimamx8.34.tar into pda in odin flash
3.
Let phone reboot and voila
And u can flash

Hope you don't think 4.1 wil be much faster than 4.0 ... 4.1 is better, but it needs more power. And your phone is low-spec, so don't expect miracles just because of firmware change.
