any chance your battery is just too low to power it on? Can you leave it plugged for a little and see if it boots later or try a different (charged) battery?

Did both, no luck
Also my computer will not pick it up

Yea I double checked those too

Try going through the whole process of installing it again. It sounds like something isn't connected. I mean if its dead and cant hurt it anymore.

Same thing happened to me. Had to get a new rez. I was overly cautious and took my time and I still can't figure out where I went wrong.

[Q] DX2 Screen problems

I'm having some issues with my DX2's screen, sometimes if I apply pressure around where the hardware buttons on the bottom are the screen will select something much further up on the screen. I assume it's something to do with my parts being to pushed together but I'm not sure. If anyone has any idea how I can fix this it would be super appreciated.
I've ran into a similar screen issues while on stock 418 OTA also had another issue. It was as if I already had a finger on the screen while using stock browser so when I go to touch it automatically zooms in and out. Even continues to do so even if I take my finger off the screen. Strangely I've enough never had these is on 2.34 tho.

Not that often but usually once a day. I believe it's a hardware problem with something to do with the piece right below my buttons and the rest of the phone if you know what I'm talking about.

If you're still under warranty from moto then probably. Otherwise, you would have to pay the replacement fee if you have insurance through version.

Help needed. DNA wont boot/charge

Hello,
If anyone can save me a couple hundred bucks that I dont have, I would appreciate it.
Im running an S-OFF Unlocked DNA with
This rom - http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2141129
and this kernel - http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2021714
I've been running it without issues for two weeks. Today it just wouldnt turn on. It doesnt accept a charge. Ive gotten the white HTC screen to come on for a second a couple times, and I've gotten it to boot up fully once. But after the screen timed out, it wouldn't come on again.
Any help would be appreciated. Dont have money to buy another phone.
I've tried searching. Most people that have boot issues can at least get to a bootloader or recovery screen. I cannot.
Have you tried letting it charge for a long while? I've heard it takes some times up to fifteen minutes for the charging led to even lit.

Open up the phone and try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it if you feel comfortable doing that. I suggested that to a user having the same problem as you and that fixed it a couple of days ago.

I personally have never opened up this phone so I wouldn't know. But this is a suggestion that worked for someone else and has also worked when my nexus 7 did a similar act. It wouldn't indicate it was charging and wouldn't turn on but disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it worked for me. I doubt it's something to do with software as you said your set up was working fine for 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this should fix it for you.

Well, I got the battery disconnected and reconnected. Even though the battery sits under the motherboard, the battery has a thin connector that its accessible without removing anything else. It doesnt appear that my problem has been fixed. I guess I wont ever know, my screwdriver slipped off the screw and connected with a pin on the board and sparked. Pretty sure I just shorted the whole thing.
Claim insurance or warranty. It sounds like a hardware problem if that didn't fix it.

I should mention it was jtagged. Not saying that was the root cause. But the inside of the phone is definitely different than a stock one. Mobiletechvideos.com put a different film on it than the one it came with. Any chance of warranty or insurance is out.
You can still try to claim it. Most of the time they aren't looking inside the phone. Though this really isn't your fault. It sounds like the hardware failed and that is why it wouldn't charge and boot. But we won't know now. I don't know how jtag works but it could have contributed to it.

I guess i could still try. Should they happen to figure it out, would they contact me before fixing, replacing, or charging me? I guess thats the part I'm worried about.
I believe they would probably just charge you. Not really sure how it works. I have never paid for insurance and I have never broken my phones.

Just to add my 2 cents,
I have sent back phones to verizon and asurion for issues and every phone except one was rooted and never had an issue. I even traded in my thunderboolt towards the dna when it came out (they offered me $72.00) and all i did was uninstall superuser/busybox & titanium backup right in front of the rep and my fiance then handed it right to the guy on the spot. He turned it on, made sure the touch screen worked & then said ok, you get full trade in price.
As for the other phones that I sent in, droid eris, incredible and 2 samsung, all with one issue or another, never once did they charge me or call or anything. Got the new phone next day, sent the old one in and thats it. I have never had an issue.
Now I know this may not have happened for every one but I think if you just send it in via mail and not have an instore rep look at it, you will never have an issue. I think if an in store rep sees an issue and realize its rooted, they may flag it in case it goes in for verizon replacement or asurion replacement but just a normal send in should not cause an issue.

S4 restarting on its own.

Anyone else's s4 ever done this? It just did it and that's maybe the 3rd time it's happened. I'm completely sock and running nova launcher prime.
Hmm apparently I got some screen mirroring update? No idea what that is.

lol #3??? What on earth are you doing to these poor S4's
I'm not doing anything to them. Each one I've had has had some sort of issue.
But it's only rebooted a few times since I've had it. It's very rare so I'm not that annoyed.
Mine has done it a couple of times as well. Usually when I'm using it pretty intensely. I figure I just overload it, and it causes it to reboot. Now its got an issue of sometimes freezing on the Verizon logo at boot. Have to pull the battery to get it to boot when this happens.

The rezound finally died.

I have been using my Rez as a dashcam for a few months since getting the S4 and during the last cold snap it killed it. I walked out to the car and it appeared to be charging, then tried to power on and it kicked the bucket. No lights, sounds, nothing. Tried swapping batteries, and still can't get it to respond. Oh well, RIP Rezound.

My M8 Wont turn on

Plugged in my phone to charge last night and woke up this morning and unplugged it. I noticed green LED was not turning off even after unplugging but figured it'd just go away. Drove to work and it was still on so I decided to restart to see if that fixed it. Well, now it WONT TURN ON! Ive held the power button down for about 60 seconds, tried power+up/down volume rocker and am getting no results. If I plug the phone in to my usb on my computer, the LED does not turn on either. Any suggestions? I think i may have to make a trip down to the ATT store today
Vol up and power 15 seconds. Cannot be plugged in.

Wanted to update, had to go to ATT and they declared the phone DOA. They seemed to think there was a surge when I was charging it. I was using the OEM charger and everything. Was two days out of the return period but they were awesome and gave me a brand new device anyway. This is the first time this has happened with any phone ive owned (that I havent dropped/soaked). Really hope this one lasts because it's beautiful!

Were you rooted? S-off? It's most likely hardware related but trying to eliminate any other possibilities. Thank goodness for AT&T s return policy.

i know your location says Arizona, but i had to ask;
it was there any thunderstorm or lightning in your area? is your charger was connect to wall outlet, or extended cord? does your charger still working?
There have been no thunderstorms for a while, and it was plugged into the wall with the oem charger. The charger still works but I'm not using it at the moment since I'm being parinoid.

That might be the reason.... Same thing happened with me while back with my HTC sensation. after installing a custom kernel, I woke up in the morning and my phone was completely dead, no charge led , no vol+ -. Nothing. I took the battery out for 10 minutes and then the phones worked again. After one hour it dead again. So I had to install stock ruu again.

Is your phone was rooted too?
Yes, but that has nothing to do with this. Bad hardware, period. It happens. It was acting a little funny prior to it dying. When I would leave my microcell, it would not connect back to ATT towers without hitting airplane mode or a reboot. WiFi signal seemed a little weak also. New one is fine.
