but says the sd card is full....
So my system says, i have a 32 gig external card, that is empty, and then my usb storage says 9.06 gb available, and device memory is 812mb... so im looking to move everything i can to sd and off my phone
anyone have any idea whats going on, or why it wont let me move it??

If you dont have any memory card inserted abd u try to move apps from phone memory to sd card does it move app to internal phone memory that is the 16gb memory or does it give u an error - not enough memory available
Hi Can anyone please check this on his phone.
I read that apps in samsung galaxy s 2 are not moved to sd card but to internal phone memory that is the 16gb phone memory which is listed as sd card in file explorer.
So i presume that having no external sd card one can still move apps from phone memory to sd card (which is acutally the internal 16gb memory) - am i correct or not?
Can someone check this on his phone please - since i want to know whether there is a problem with my phone or not.

Yer you can, the 16gb phone memory is treated as an sd card and so apps2sd would move it to that bit of memory. Not sure wether you can move it from there to an external sd though...
Hi thanks for your reply - so you need to use apps2sd to move them - can't you use the application management application of android itself to do so.
Since the strange thing is this - if i do not have sd card inserted and i try to move app from phone storage to sd card - using the android application management - i get an error unable to move application not enough storage, yet if i have sd card inserted then app is moved. The weird thing is that the app is moved to the internal memory not the external sd card - so why do you need to have an sd card inserted to move app?

Is there a way to move the apps to the usb storage instead the SD card? I ask this because i dont have an SD card but i have plenty of room on my internal memory. The system memory is 2gb but is getting full.
Whenever I press the move to sd button when managing apps it says theres no sd card. I also tried app2sd with the same result

Can someone tell me how to set up my SD card to function with CM10? Which path is the SD Card for internal storage and which one is the external? Also, how can I get it to show up on my pc when I plug the phone in? Right now, it only shows up for the 9gig internal storage partition. Thoughts?
My downloads are still going on internal phone storage instead of external I'm I missing something
I have a problem with my tablet not recognising the sd card. It is not specific to a particular card, I have tried 3 and they all behave the same. The cards function correctly in other devices.
When I go to Settings, Storage the card is not showing, only internal storage. However, if I go to My Files the SD card is showing and I can read to and write from the card.
When I go to Apps, choose an app and then choose Storage I have an option to move the app to external storage. When I choose this option I get a message saying there is not enough room on the card even though the card is essentially empty .
Can anyone suggest how I can get the SD card to show under Storage and also how to move apps to the card?

OK, my bad. The card does show under Storage, I just wasnt looking in the right place. However I still cant move apps to the card.
My internal storage is now nearly full and I have a totally empty SD card, would love to get a fix for this issue.
