HEllo guys..i got a problem with my Xperia x10 mini...I tried to update the android and
by mistake i add the x8's update so the phone stucks...
THe phone stuck in start menu..I mean it whrite sony ericsson and it's not open...
I can't reboot it with the Back (<=) key in phone...
I tried to reboot it with flashtool and SuperOneClick and all time the programms whrite that
the phone is not connect..plz healp me...
I want to open the phone and install the correct update
If i create the topic in wrong category please remove it in the correct one...

Does the computer even read if a device is connected ?
I like phones.
You can always fix that with SEUS or PC Companion or Flash tool.
Just remember to backup first before flashing any roms.
Just download pc companion, search for the repair option, not sure whether it is in support zone. It should restore ur phone to it's original rom.
Had the same issue with my xperia x10 mini pro.

sonny companion doesn't recognise my phone too...and i told you guys that any of those programms recoginese it...(Flash tool and SuperOneClick )

Just to confirm, not recognize or not detected.
Before u try this, run by someone more experience first( i will not be liable for any brick )
1. But could it be the kernel issue, if yes, can the OP not flash a new kernel using flashtool?
2. Then just do the steps of flashing a new rom?
I am not sure as i dun have my xperia with me, it's with my missus.

I just requested that a mod move this thread to the Xperia x10 Q&A forum, hopefully someone there can help you better, although one of the RC's I brought this up to suggested that pc companion, but since you tried it then you might need to send it for repair sony ericsson update center. Does PC companion require any kind of drivers on your PC? Tried different USB ports?

If you can goto xrecovery install any custom rom that works with stock kernel...and later after installing custom rom use pc companion and flash the fresh stock rom

I didn't install xrecovery before the wiping, so there are nothing that i could do even i had xrecovery
How can i install custom rom? Since it is my first smart phone.
Moreover, right now the phone can't connecting to a computer at all.
I checked a lot of topics that required the phone is able to connect to a pc,
In order to install any custom roms.

1-download and install sony erricson pc companion from official site.
2-click on support zone
3-click on update software
4-click on repair phone
5-accept agreements etc.
6-choose phone type (from what I understand your is x10 mini pro,like me.
7-start installing
8-phone should bee like the day you bought it
P.S:root is removed so if u want u should root again
But boot loader stays unlocked(if u had unlocked it)

That's mean even my computer has installed pc companion, The computer can't read the phone correctly, so it is impossible to recovery in this way

If your provider didn't change the software on your phone too much, this will work. It will work best if you leave your phone disconnected from your pc until step 7

Usb to Computer can be detected but not able to connect
U should try to connect to flash mode what I did when it was rebooting on self
1-removed battery till step 7
2-quickly insert it (dont even use back cover till ur done)then hold back button and plug the cable in ur phone untile led flashes(plug usb in pc b4 starting this)

If non of above helps ur last solution would be flashing stock kernel (which can be found on xda) with flashtool with the battery quick in and backbutton method but youll need ur bootloader unlocked

guys my Xperia u is rebooting continously ..in boot it goes upto lock screen and then again restarts...
the problem araises due to factory reset went wrong
i selected erase everything my phone got switched off accedentally
and when i restart the phone it gives sony logo and xperia logo some time and goto the lock screen and stuck and then restarts

download stock ICS ftf file from the dev section
use flashtool to flash the stock
and search for all of them you will get tuts for each......

hey i'm having the same problem PLEASE HELP! have you ever gotten it fixed?
Forget PCC, it's useless. Just follow Dr Droid's tutorial. It saved my phone last year, and after flashing the stock rom from the link he provided, my phone was at it's best. No crashes, no sudden restarts.
if flashtool doesn't detect your phone, try reinstalling the driver. it's included with flashtool.

Okay, I installed CM9 ShockGenMOD on my Xperia U and it worked flawlessly. Later I saw this thread in APPS section "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340073" and installed it using CWM on my phone, my bad it said JB only
Now my phone isn't proceeding ahead ShockGen logo after the installation. Xperia U did not have removable SD card so I can't even add NEW rom from PC to start from scratch.
What do I do? How do I fix it? Please help!!!

Have you used PC Comapanion before?
If you have you can repair the phone without connecting the phone.
Click start under support zone, click start under phone tablet software update, click repair in the window that says can't find phone / tablet,, PCC wil start downloading files and will ask you to connect in flash mode.
The phone must be turned off before connectinmg in flash mode.

That is after you choose repair?
You will need to downalod and install flashtool install the drivers that come with it and find and download the right formware for your phone.
Download stock ftf and use flashtool to flash ftf look on here for how to use flash tool . Will solve all your problems

sorry for my late reply.
I will suggest that you should always have a backup in case of incidents like these.. this is a development site.
Accidents happen while developing.
Flashtool is always the best way to recover your phone and always have nandroid backup when you install a new mod.
Because when you flash to stock you lose your data but restoring nandroid backup using custom kernel solves the problem!

simply download the firmware and flash it using flashtool : "http://www.flashtool.net/download.php"
you can check at "Xperia Tablet Z Android Development" section for firmwares. dont forget to install the drivers of the tablet z

After downloading the flashtool and after extracting it to a preferred location.. You'll find a folder inside it named "driver"., run it and checked the drivers for tablet z and flashtool... A firmware and a flashtool will do the job for you.. Plus a little bit of googling.. Hehehe

Thats weird.. Cause its suppose to install the orig fw no matter what.. Forgot to say that REPAIR is not an option it is a highlighted word in one of the paragraphs in pccompanion..
Anyway try flashing it with flashtool its pretty easy..
