Keep your phone DISconnected from your pc
Start PC Companion
Choose Support Zone
Choose Update (It won't find any because your phone is not connected)
Choose the Repair link
Follow the instructions from there on...

I have updated my x10 mini to nAa-11 and unlocked it and is running on cm7, but the problem is that the batery sucks, i take a photo the phone switches off, so i wanna restore my phone back to its default firmware and stock 2.1... soo please help me on how to do this..!!!

it says cannot start up the update service
...but this seems like pc error with companion
Companion detect correctly your device or not? The installation beggin correctly and stopped?

this is the problem with the pc companion ,i clicked repair and it said downloading some files and then an error occurs and when i tried on the seus it say it already has the latest software..!!!

When seus says you have the latest software there is a bit that says something like "if you're having problems with your device click repair" I restored mine like this last week (two days and I was back on the latest minicm)
I know people say it all the time but you could calibrate your battery
Fully charge
Wipe battery the stats
And run a few full cycle charges.
Worked a charm last time my battery went ****ty!
Download Sony Update Service : Download Update Service
Then,open Sony Update Service.Select your phone and click next and next until it tells you to turn off the phone,wait 15 seconds and then plug it in while pressing back button.A green LED will flash from the phone.Just wait until the program tells you to disconnect the phone and power it on.If this is the wrong Update Service,try this link :

guys nothing works can u tell me d procedure by usinf flashtool
SEUS and Pc companion has being giving some server errors...
And by the install any fully working rom(minicm7pro by paul) which works on stock kernel...
Then flash stock kernel after installing rom.
I think it is because the custom kernel due to which SEUS doesnt detect phone

If you can goto xrecovery install any custom rom that works with stock kernel...and later after installing custom rom use pc companion and flash the fresh stock rom

I didn't install xrecovery before the wiping, so there are nothing that i could do even i had xrecovery
How can i install custom rom? Since it is my first smart phone.
Moreover, right now the phone can't connecting to a computer at all.
I checked a lot of topics that required the phone is able to connect to a pc,
In order to install any custom roms.

1-download and install sony erricson pc companion from official site.
2-click on support zone
3-click on update software
4-click on repair phone
5-accept agreements etc.
6-choose phone type (from what I understand your is x10 mini pro,like me.
7-start installing
8-phone should bee like the day you bought it
P.S:root is removed so if u want u should root again
But boot loader stays unlocked(if u had unlocked it)

That's mean even my computer has installed pc companion, The computer can't read the phone correctly, so it is impossible to recovery in this way

If your provider didn't change the software on your phone too much, this will work. It will work best if you leave your phone disconnected from your pc until step 7

Usb to Computer can be detected but not able to connect
U should try to connect to flash mode what I did when it was rebooting on self
1-removed battery till step 7
2-quickly insert it (dont even use back cover till ur done)then hold back button and plug the cable in ur phone untile led flashes(plug usb in pc b4 starting this)

If non of above helps ur last solution would be flashing stock kernel (which can be found on xda) with flashtool with the battery quick in and backbutton method but youll need ur bootloader unlocked

I Need a FTF for flashtool... i tried to install MIUI and it just sits at Sony Ericson...
All the firmware files on these threads are linked to Megaupload which was shut down,

PC compainion says unable to repair phone. and i cant use it if i cant get into OS.
idk what SEUS is... but ill look it up... meanwhile, what else could i try?

SEUS is sony update service..search for it in google.
just download a firmware from the link I gave above.
Unzip the file to get ftf file.
flash it via flashtool. Should work

I experienced the same thing. My phone would automatically start into the Sony Ericsson white logo after inserting the battery in it. Just open PC Companion then go to support zone -> Update software. It can't pick up your phone then (Says no phone connected) then it gives u a dialog box where you can click 'Repair Phone'. Click and follow the steps

I like phones.
You can always fix that with SEUS or PC Companion or Flash tool.
Just remember to backup first before flashing any roms.
Just download pc companion, search for the repair option, not sure whether it is in support zone. It should restore ur phone to it's original rom.
Had the same issue with my xperia x10 mini pro.

sonny companion doesn't recognise my phone too...and i told you guys that any of those programms recoginese it...(Flash tool and SuperOneClick )

Just to confirm, not recognize or not detected.
Before u try this, run by someone more experience first( i will not be liable for any brick )
1. But could it be the kernel issue, if yes, can the OP not flash a new kernel using flashtool?
2. Then just do the steps of flashing a new rom?

Now my phone isn't proceeding ahead ShockGen logo after the installation. Xperia U did not have removable SD card so I can't even add NEW rom from PC to start from scratch.
What do I do? How do I fix it? Please help!!!

Have you used PC Comapanion before?
If you have you can repair the phone without connecting the phone.
Click start under support zone, click start under phone tablet software update, click repair in the window that says can't find phone / tablet,, PCC wil start downloading files and will ask you to connect in flash mode.
The phone must be turned off before connectinmg in flash mode.

That is after you choose repair?
You will need to downalod and install flashtool install the drivers that come with it and find and download the right formware for your phone.
Download stock ftf and use flashtool to flash ftf look on here for how to use flash tool . Will solve all your problems

sorry for my late reply.
I will suggest that you should always have a backup in case of incidents like these.. this is a development site.
Accidents happen while developing.
Flashtool is always the best way to recover your phone and always have nandroid backup when you install a new mod.
Because when you flash to stock you lose your data but restoring nandroid backup using custom kernel solves the problem!
