Stuck at Motorola Logo screen - Stock Rom - any ideas? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
This is my second atrix. My first suffered the repeated reboot cycle of death. Never could ge tit to work after that. I've had this one about 2 weeks then all of a sudden today while using tapatalk it just rebooted itself and is stuck at the startup logo screen. Its the stock rom, its unlocked (got it that way) and have not done anything crazy to it. I can not access fastboot or recovery. Fastboot tells me the battery is too low. Which its not, it was close to 100% charge when it rebooted itself. Recovery just says 'entering android recovery mode' and it never loads. Any ideas??
Thanks guys.

Things to try
Try to flash recovery with fastboot. Put phone in RSD mode and use RSD Lite to flash SBF.

That's a negative. I get "Battery too low" even when plugged in or using a spare FULL battery.

Correction. I can access the phone in RSD mode. Can't find a download link for 1.2.6 though

[Q] Hard Bricked?

I just tried unlocking the BL from my official AT&T gingerbread using this guide, I tried flashing the sbf file with RSD and it got stuck and now my phone stays at this with the difference that mine gives me the option to try fastboot, RSD mode, Android Recover and another pletora of options I'm not sure i want to name.
So being able to try RSD again, i tried flashing this and it was appearently working but when it tried to set the device on BP Pass through mode, the device would go back to the Infamous screen and it wouldn't move from there.
Am I screwed? Do i have option?
I'm going to try to flash the stock FW to see what happens

use the automatic unlock tool found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871&highlight=automatic
do option 1 then option 3 (only use option 3 if on gingerbread) and you're good to go
Fastboot then use fastboot oem unlock command on PC. Reboot and it should work.

Thanks, I'll try it out and post back
I forgot to mention that my phone seems to be low on battery. Does it charge if it's not on the OS?
Noob Killed his phone
Hello, First time Poster here, please bare with me...
I really shouldn't of touched this.....
I have an Atrix w/ the newest updates to it, and attempted to unlock the phone. Everything started well, then it failed while writing to the device. Now, when I attempt to boot, I get the similar message of
SVF:405;1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
With a 14 available options. I can get into fastboot, though I honestly am not sure what to do from there. I have the fastboot s/w downloaded, along with the gingerbread OS.
Did I just kill my phone?
I haven't still fixed mine because of the battery, I still have to find an external charger. Though, you can try the link from above.
Ok, I did the steps and now my phone is at a screen with the motorola logo with the dual core name on it and it has the word Unlocked on top of it.
What should i do?
the boot screen with motorola logo and unlock in corner will take awhile to load usually like 10 minutes but if it doesnt load for example i let mine sit for an hour and never loaded i just took the batter o and restart it and it rebooted and worked but use that as a last resort give it some time!
Omg i just fixed it!! Thx for the help!!

Hung At Boot Screen - Can Access CWM But Cannot Access RSD or FastBoot

Recently tried flashing to CM7. It appears the install completed fine (flashed using CWM) but can't get past boot screen. Showing Motorolo boot screen/unlocked.
I've also tried flashing to [Gobstopper] Bell GB 2.3.4, install completed but still same result, frozen at boot screen.
Can Access CWM recovery but cannot access RSD or FastBoot, battery is too low to start these functions.
Phone won't boot up using battery, can only turn on phone using A/C adapter.
Any insight how I can charge up my battery? It appears it won't charge under CWM. When plugging into PC via USB I get a green solid light.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.
Go to RomRacers CWM Recover thread HERE and download the latest ROMRacer recovery and flash it.. He has both img files and CWM flashable zip files. After flashing re-flash CM7... It seems that you are not using a recovery that has EXT4 capabilities, which is why you are stuck on the Boot logo.. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick reply!
The problem I'm facing is that my battery is dead. It doesn't appear to be charging while in recovery mode. I can't keep my usb storage mounted long enough to copy the zip file over. The phone works fine while plugged into A/C.
Any way to charge the battery while in recovery mode?
No way of charging while in recovery mode... So you said you cannot boot into fastboot or ADB? How are you getting into CWM? If you can get into CWM, you should be able to get into fastboot to flash the .img file.
fastboot erase recovery
fasbtoot flash recovery recovery-green-atrix3.3.img
Click to collapse
or
moto-fastboot erase recovery
moto-fasbtoot flash recovery recovery-green-atrix3.3.img
Click to collapse
Depending on the fastboot you have... and which img you pull
You could always try letting your phone sit there powered off plugged into the AC charger to see if it will charge.
I can boot into CWM while phone is plugged into A/C power.
When I try opening fastboot or ADB I get a message stating the battery is too low to flash. No fastboot/RSD connections can be made to the phone.
Yep.... need battery. You could try to go to a local AT&T and see if they will let you use a battery out of a display or put your phone in their display model for an hour
Problem fixed once updating to RomRacers CWM Recovery. Thanks again for your help!
No problem! Glad it worked out for you!!
romracers newest after flash should read 5.0.2.3atrix4.1 and it works great!

[Q] [Q and issue] Pudding problem!

Never thought I will write about helping, but I do it.
I got photon which is not working well with pudding.
1. I can't flash normally 154 firmware. I get stuck on "Switching device to BP pass through mode" and I get black screen in the phone, pulling battery doesn't help somtimes, sometimes helps. I didn't get when it makes sense and phone boots.
2. Same message I get when I flash pudding. Same black screen. However pudding flashes normally, I can unlock bootloader. But I get another ****! When I choose reboot device or shutdown in CWM, in CM7 or CM9, I get black screen of death again. 5-20 battery repulling helps to boot phone again.
3. After flashing stock 198_7, with stock bootloader, I never have troubles with booting phone and there is no death screen on reboot/power off.
4. if I flash no pudding, i have no black screens.
5. If the phone was dead in black after reboot, and I don't pull the battery out, it'll use (still) battery and after night it may go from 100% to 0%.
6. Changing the battery didn't help.
Please help somebody!
are you factory resetting before flashing the sbf's if you dont they have a tendency to screw up also which rsd are you using?

[Q] Softbricked Motorola Atrix 4g

Hi, I need some help with my smartphone. This was my first try to change a ROM, I did a lot of things... What I remember is that I downloaded the ROM and I tried to install it with the Stock Recovery (I did the "Wipe data/factory reset" and "Wipe cache" then the "Install update from zip")...I did'nt have the phone unlocked at first... Now the phone doesn't go further than the motorola logo. I've tried a lot of fixes and I can't get it done, I got the bootloader unlocked after, and after that I could install a nice recovery (It was really hard) I really don't know where it got bricked. I've downloaded some sbf files but none of them worked and some "automated fixes" but still did'nt work.
AT&T version
Was running on GingerBread 2.3.6
Thanks in advance
do you get the white text "unlocked" at the top left of the screen while you turn on the phone?
If you have a custom recovery you can flash any rom you download from the dev section.

Yes, and i've tried as you say to install a ROM but it fails. I tried to install CM7 (The last version, a nightly) and Atrix-MROM... Oh and is there a difference in flashing and installing a ROM?
No flashing is installing a rom, can you elaborate more on the error you get (if you get one)?
what recovery are you using (twrp, cwm, ...)

When I turn on my phone I don't get any error it just stucks on the logo screen, sometimes when I try to install a ROM I get that the file doesn't work or something like that but right now I tried again to install Atrix MROM and according to the recovery it installed succesfully, but when I reboot the cellphone to see if it works I get the same thing it won't pass the logo screen. The recovery that I use is one that has some chinese green words and it say "goapk.com" it also says on the top "Atrix 4G Recovery v4.0.0.2 GOAPK.COM" (It's not the stock recovery) and the options are in blue... I tried to instal CWM but I couldn't, I never saw it, it never worked, so I got that one from an automatic script. I'm sorry if didn't helped enough, just ask me anything that you want to know. I apologize for any typo I'm from Dominican Republic english is not my native language. Ohhh And the last time I tried to install a sbf with RSD Lite (It had like 500 mb) and after all the process fiinished It said "Fail. The pone did not re-enumerated..."
Thanks for replying
ok let's try to install cwm. I hope you have the fastbootdrivers installed
copy moto-fastboot.exe to download folder
then download this file.
then open up a cmd window (type it in start menu and open)
Code:
cd %userprofile%/Downloads/
moto-fastboot erase recovery
moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.1.8-olympus.img
moto-fastboot reboot
hold down the volume button while it is rebooting
then select recovery by pressing the volume down button untill it is shown on your screen en select it by pressing the volume up button
let's first see if this works
Now I can't flash it... -_- I get the error "The phone is to low to flash" and I can't get it charged, I'm seeing if I can charge it.

try turning the phone off, pull the battery out.
Then connect the charger to your phone (use a wallsocket, not usb from pc) and after a few seconds insert the battery, let it charge for a couple of hours
If that doesn't work i think you need to use someone else's battery or charge yours with another atrix.
It Worked!
