Well hopefully you will be able to help me,
flashed quite a few phones and this one quite few times,
anyway was messing with a JB rom ,
rebooted but the rom messed up and would not boot the phone.
fair enough recovery mode.
Flashed original rom back on to the phone via odin.
then just sits at the samsung screen
ok
then flashed the original rom via kies using recovery mode the flashed again fine
reboot , just sits at the samsung loading screen(fell asleep woke up 4 hours later still at same screen)
tried flahing with odin a insecure rom just incase same problem
reflashed stock rom from odin/ then via kies again
still on boot stills at samsung screen
any one please got any ideas
thanks
martin
Which JB rom not the leaked version i hope .
If its a JB custom rom then you have the standard problem that requires total wipe of the phone .
jje
What jb ROM was it? Also did Odin say pass?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
so how do i do a full wipe then of the phone ?
thx
It was aromas JB install, from inside CWM, but need to be reset as would not boot past boot graphics.
When i flash via odin it says success (i have flashed this rom on to it before)
thx
Run the flash with odin , with rom stock samsung from here : http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/ , then if remains in bootloop ( stopped at the start screen logo ) , enters into recovery mode ( vol.up home power ) , and then makes a wipe date , factory reset and reboot now ...
wella wipe worked and booting again
thx

first of all plz don't hate for making a new thread i really searched some time and i dind't find anything that helped me.
my sgs2 is stuck at the boot screen (splash screen with the S and "samsung galaxy sII" underneath).
i can access recovery and download mode. so i did a data/cache wipe and factory reset and than i flashed an original firmware with odin. flahs worked fine but my phone is still not booting. i also flashed an insecure kernel and tried - not working so i reflashed the original kernel - still not working. btw i flashed this one "GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWKE7_I9100XXKE4_I9100XEUKD1".
so can anyone help me plz?!
Lol. Funny.

as i said in my first post if you would have read it i already did this and it is not working!
have you tried updating thru KIES?
which region is your handset from?
and you have already tried using the USB Jig too...right? after reading the POST one
If you belong to XEU, Kies would update the phone to KF3.
After updating the firmware normally the phone gets stuck in the boot screen for 10-15 secs first time around. i hope you are leaving it there for a minute or so.
i tried kies but it didnt recognize the phone.
i also flashed kf3 now but it is still not working. left it on splash screen for about 10 mins or so...
Well for starters a question about failed boot would be better answered in a failed boot thread and you dont mention you have read that post in your OP .
Clean flash
Via CWM recovery mounts and storage format SD card System Data Cache and this will wipe all data .
Factory reset .
Phone will now not boot .
Enter download mode .
Open Odin
Download a stock rom and following instructions connect USB cable and flash .
That fails its a service centre job .
jje
ok jjegan can you plz explain that again so a noob can do it too?
Clean flash
Boot into recovery go to mounts and storage format SD card System Data Cache and this will wipe all data .
Factory reset .
Phone will now not boot no OS .
Enter download mode .
Open Odin
Download a stock rom and following instructions connect USB cable and flash .The same method you used .
jje
That fails its a service centre job .
Firstly, you did mention that you tried a factory reset, so the third post from JJE has no merit, so instead of assuming we know everything and rushing to answer, we need to determine the conditions under which your phone is no longer booting.
Was the phone working normally?
If it was, what rom was the phone running in the first place, and what did you do (if anything) before it got stuck at the boot logo?
The last post by JJE is "assuming" you have the CWM recovery, I am going to ask you, which recovery do u have, is it the stock recovery or the CWM recovery. if it's the ClockworkMod you would know.
Did you try a normal reboot or did you try flashing something on the phone before you got the bootloop?
yes the phone was working normally. i didn't do anything before it got stuck at boot. The stock rom with t-mobile austria branding was running on it. i can't say the exact version. The phone began to lag during games and browsing so i turned it off and wanted to turn it on again as it got stuck at boot logo.
no i do not have cwm installed so the factory reset and data/cache wipe was done from stock recovery.
after several on/off switches i tried flashing an unbranded stock rom available in this forum. first ke7 then kf3 but the phone still wont boot. also kies is not recognizing the phone.
thanks in advance.
What you want to do is get in into download mode open odin and
download and extract this
http://androidadvices.com/downloads/GalaxyS2_GTI9100_XXKG3_2.3.4.zip
tick repartition
click on PIT and select u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4.pit,
click on PDA and select CODE_I9100XXKG3_CL401405_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5,
click on Phone and select MODEM_I9100XXKG3_REV_02_CL1040774.tar.md5,
click on CSC and select GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKG3.tar.md5,
flash it
after all done perfectly reboot to recovery and wipe partition cache
reboot once again and you are done
if this helped reply me
unfortuantly it didnt work out. i did everything as you described but it still got stuck at the boot screen.
i really dont know what to do any more...
Downloaded but asking for password to unzip?
One of the major do not touch is both repartition and pit file especially for a novice .
You have taken the steps in the Boot loop thread post recovery wipe user data . Download mode followed by flash a stock rom that fails flash Villain rom .
Personally i would take the phone to a service centre and claim it stopped working during a Kies update .

hey guys please help.
i think i bricked my phone galaxy s2 i9100.
odin is working ,cwm mode is working and even downloading mode is working.
this problem happened after i flashed slim ics rom yesterday 29-4-2012 on my i9100. the main problem behind it is that i'm not able to factory reset the phone.
whenever i try to factory reset my phone in cwm mode or recovery mode,my phone hangs.
i can format my phone through system /format.
i can wipe cache ,dalvik cache and battery stats.
i flashed many roms and kernels but even after flashing any rom or any kernel in my phone ,it doesnt work.

but nothing is working..
after any thin i flash only see is the GALAXY S2 GT-I9100 logo on my screen.
please guys tell me a way out..
if i flash a rom on my phone then binary count is not increasing but when i install a kernel then it increases. why so?
i can format ,mount ,unmount anything on phone but i cant format the user data or do a factory reset while doing that my phone hangs.
i even tried .PIT file with repartition ticked in the odin.
please tell me as if there is any hardware problem or just a normal problem?
now,
my phone says
cant access to /system/csc/SEK/system/'. in recovery
WHAT DOES IT MEAN ???
can any 1 help me?

wel u have a soft brick ma8 dont panic just dwnl a odin flashable stock GB rom and install the same
after that search the forum under samsung gs2 how 2 root ur phone with stock gb fallow the instructions and root ur phone
then select the ics rom like lightening rom and flash thru odin
every thing will be fine
Reading the post, seems like OP did flash a stock file (although ICS, not GB).
2 dumb questions just to confirm. You have the i9100? not the i9100G? Also have you waited a certain amount of time after you flashed those roms? It can take up to a couple minutes for it to first boot.
If above are fine, (you have i9100, and you waited a long time and it was still stuck on i9100 screen)
Try the link below.

Factory reset is not required after flashing a rom .
You load rom via Odin it finishes install and then reboots itself .
You load rom via CWM and it goes to reboot screen yes and phone reboots .
As said a stock gb rom flashed via Odin preferably after a format of system data and cache should be your first step .
jje
i did that.

Looks like you have siyah rc6. Make sure it's not from the 21st, iirc.
Don't factory reset just to be safe.. Restore your nandroid if possible and change to a later version.

yup i had siyah 3.1rc6 on my phone.
i tried to restore my nandroid backup but there is no effect on my problem.
how to know weather emmc is fine or currupted?
Try to mount it in CWM and connect it in linux computer and run fsck to check the eMMC. Windows chkdsk is no good.
And please try to remember, did you do this step: flash bad siyah rc6 then wipe/factory reset and get stuck?
if not, then the problem is different from those who flash bad rc6 (which is removed now and siyah is safe)
any thing is not working.
in every thread its written that if my phone goes in download mode and recovery mode then its soft bricked but then how can i unbrick my phone?
or is there any hardware problem?
i can mount and unmount every thing in recovery mode
i can format every thing but only user data cannot be formated, when ever i format/data or factory reset the phone hangs.
is there any other way of hard resetting i9100.?other than cwm recovery?
Have you tried flashing with the .PIT? I doubt it'll work, since other people also tried it, but it's worth a shot.

Ok here's the deal:
Yesterday I flashed Wanams JB 4.0.1 successfully. I plugged my S3 to charge over night at that moment it was on. I woke up in the morning and it was "not on" anymore. It stucked at Galaxy S3 bootlogo. No recovery but Download Mode was avaiable. I flashed 1File JB (Austria) from Sammobile via Odin. That worked perfect. But it won't still boot. No recovery either. Than I flashed 3 Files ICS with PIT repartition. That went also fine. But still stuck on bootlogo. When I try to boot into Recovery the bootlogo shows up but it reboots. I also flashed CF Root but no recovery. Should I flash Siyah Kernel or something like that? Maybe also interesting: When I plug my S3 to charge it won't show the battery symbol, just the Bootlogo! And when I get to the battery symbol it won't show the green animation just a grey circle! Please help me to revive my S3! I have 1 count and Systemstatus on custom!
Pozdrav

Overnight charge and fails to boot been a fair few of those posts .
NO BOOT stock reply
Is wipe via CWM recovery by formatting system sd card cache and data .
Flash recovery if none .
Flash stock firmware via ODIN do not use PIT unless you know why and which one .

hi, I have SGS-II I 9100. I was using root box 4 rom on my SGS-II with default kernel. All of a sudden day before yesterday the baseband and IMEI just vanished. Flashing the OEM rom seemed as solution. So I flashed the Android 4.1.2 India rom. It did flashed it successfully. The phone restarts and shows android logo and does something. When it restarts again it goes directly into recovery. I have tried with different versions but its still the same. Tried to flash Siyah kernel and Install custom rom. It still does that goes directly into CWM recovery screen. Can anyone help with this issue. I am clueless on how to fix it. Forgot to mention it does not reboot automatically. When clicked on reboot it shuts down. I then need to pull out the battery and get it back into it and then start the phone.

Thank-you for your reply. I flashed Stock i9100 from Sam firmwares. Gave a try to India, UK and italy edition. It does not go to CWM but rather goes into android recovery wizard. The screen where you see red triangle with android died or something. Its been more than a day and still cant find how to fix it. After flashing the stock firmware when i reboot my phone I get to a screen with android and status bar right at the bottom of it. Probably installs boot loader or something it the second screen once you reboot your phone after flashing the stock firmware. The next time you reboot you should be getting to OS right? But it takes me to recovery instead? What does it expect me to do in the recovery screen? I really don't know. I can access only 2 modes Download and recovery.
Here's the thing..3e recovery is the samsung default recovery mode whereas CWM is a customized one.
You either flash it via Odin or you flash a custom kernel via odin to get it.
Anyway, as long as you are NOT on 4.0.4 you can factory reset and wipe cache via stock recovery (3e).
Again, what did you flash exactly?

Well, the only problem I could think of is wrong Rom which causes a boot loop. However please do install the stock ROM from doing a permanent damage to your phone. And due time another developer will create another ROM for the phone.
