, I would love to know this also....
App:Tasker + app:secure settings
And then set up a profile in tasker (using secure settings as a plugin) will make what you want

Hi All,
I'm looking for the iphone password lock style for my Galaxy S II. Basically, in the iphone you basically input 4 digits then it unlocks without the need of pressing OK while in the Galaxy S II, you have to put the 4 digits then you have to press OK. Is there something similar can be made for the Galaxy. Note that I have to make the password lock due to my corporate email requirements.
Thanks in advance,
Would it be possible to use the swipe/pattern lock with your corporate requirements? Because it unlocks without confirmation as soon as you input the correct pattern.

No. I tried to use the pattern and the email wouldn't download until I made the password unlock. Not even the pattern worked. After I set the password, the option for the (Non Option) and the (Pattern) were locked and the status was showing (Disabled by remote phone administrator).
Any ideas?
anyone could have an idea to help?
Yes, ask your corporate IT-guy. If they somehow block you from accessing mail based on lockscreen settings, they should be able to tell you what to do

No it is not possible. For all corporate the password is a must for data security.
There is actually an app but unfortunately works only on HTC specific model called
lockpick but didn't work on my Galaxy S II.
I tried Moxier Mail and i have to input the password only when I get a new mail.
Use Touchdown. You still have to hit 4 digits and Ok but you only have to do it to enter the app not the phone.
Hi guys
Problem here... Default mail application on Galaxy 3, stock ROM -> Connecting to Exchange 2010 -> Connects fine -> Problem is it then asks for a default pin or password. Now I can't get into the mail until I set this, once this is set then I have to put a pin in everytime I unlock my phone, which is a pain in the ass, has anyone found a way to disable this password policy
Kind Regards

It's a setting that has to be changed on the Exchange server itself - it's obviously currently set to require the mobile device to have a PIN. Speak to whoever manages the server to get it changed

LoL, only problem is I admin the Exchange server, but very limited on advance function, stopped Windows support in my MCSE NT 4 track, so exchange 2010 isn't my specialty when it comes to making changes like this.
Does anyone know the steps to take on the exchange server to revoke this policy.
Kind Regards

Hi....I'm new to this forum and the world of Android....hoping someone can help me!
I picked up a Samsung Galaxy S3 the other day and noticed something unusual with the call function. If I make and receive a call (i.e. the call has actually connected) everything works as expected...proximity sensor engages, and when the call is finished it returns to the call screen. However, if I dial a number and the line at the other end is busy/engaged, I remove the phone from my ear and it returns to the phone lock screen (where I need to enter my password due to my hookup with Microsoft exchange at work). If I don't place the phone to my ear it returns to the normal call screen. Its a pain having to enter the password after attempting to make a call to a busy line, as the first thing I want to do is redial the number.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm running ICS 4.04.
Try enable auto redial under call setting - additional setting.

Thanks....I'll give it a try. Just need to find a phone line that is busy again!
Ok....here's another weird one associated with the call function on the SGS3 running ICS 4.0.4. When I use a bluetooth headset and make a call, the phone will automatically lock when I hang up regardless of whether the "time to lock" has been met. As mentioned before, I'm connected to an exchange account so security has been assigned such that I need to enter a password to access my phone after a certain time period (max 15 minutes). I'm beginning to wonder if these automatic locks with the call function are pre-determined by the exchange security?? Or perhaps a bug in ICS?
Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Guys,
I've ported one of my apps: eNotify to the Ornate TrueSmart:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hermes.enotifylite
A couple of users have written to request that eNotify turn on the screen when a new email arrives. So that works fine. However, they would also like the screen to be unlocked so that they don't need swipe to dismiss the clock-screen to see the notification.
We have a similar option that works on most Android devices: Settings / "Dismiss Screen Lock"
In code:
Deprecated Way:
KeyguardManager keyguardManager = (KeyguardManager) context.getSystemService(Activity.KEYGUARD_SERVICE);
KeyguardLock lock = keyguardManager.newKeyguardLock(context.KEYGUARD_SERVICE);
lock.disableKeyguard();
Current Way:
getWindow().addFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_DISMISS_KEYGUARD);
BUT it doesn't work on the Ornate TruSmart which leads me to believe this isn't actually a lock screen, but something else. Is there a way to programmatically dismiss this screen?
Best Regards,
Glen

I don't use screen lock on my TS, and your app works fine for me, awaking the screen and presenting the popup notification. One question though: When in silent mode, the vibrate feels like just one small bump, and is barely noticed. Any way to increase the vibrate, or set a pattern? Thanks.

Okay. Thanks for the info. I'm still attempting to track it down. Apparently, removing the lock works on some ROMS, but not others.
You can set the vibration like:
Alerts Tab (!) -> Default Profile -> Default Alert -> Bell Chime -> Vibration
There are baked in vibrations such as:
short, medium, long
But you can also hold your finger down to record one of a custom length.
Please feel free to email me at the support address if you need anything. I'd also welcome any reports of TrueSmart specific issues that need investigating.
Thanks,
Glen

That worked, thanks. So far so good with my TS...
@glensantacruz, eNotifyLite did not function on my device at all. Sadly once I installed the app, google search started to crash constantly. this made my TrueSmart unusable. Once I uninstalled everything worked once again.
I had high hopes for this.
Suggestion. in the setup separate SMS and email configuration. I am not interested in email in my tiny watch screen. I only really want sms, hangouts, Phone calls and basic glance-able alerts to wake my screen. On my phone I might try your app for email.. I looks very interesting and full of features.
I am a bit confused. In order to receive these notifications the ts must be connect through BT to my phone? If that is true how are u getting past the issues with BT connection with a phone

This is not a simple situation but I will attempt to explain my solution:
For SMS
first I have a full service SIM and account for my TS on ATT
next use google voice for my primary number, this involves installing the GV app and configuring it, then getting the GV number socialized..
next I force force sms responce on my phone and my TS to use the GV # with an Xposed plugin called "XVoice+".
For EMAIL / Internet based:
first I have a full service SIM and account for my TS on ATT that is part of a 15gb shared family plan.
The final result is I receive all SMS on both devices. A couple Caveats, GV does not support the short message format so no twitter alerts. depending on the sms source, some messages are more readable on the TS then others.
Unfortunately for me I'm in Canada and lacking Google voice. Thanks for the explanation tho. Omate is doing a ota in a few more weeks fixing the BT issue. I think I will hold off and wait and see how well it works. I've spoken with Le pen and he tells me that the new fix is working very well.
In previous phones I was able to, on lock screen, input my PIN and it would go directly into the phone. Now I need to click OK. Every thing I've seen thus far tells me to go into the settings and into the PIN setup and click "Enable (or disable) confirm PIN without tapping OK". That doesn't seem to show up when I go into the PIN setting.
Also - When I go into Connections>Advanced Calling - Only HD Voice is available, not HD Voice and Video Calling. I checked my Verizon account and it's been applied to my line so I am not sure if it's something I'm missing here.
Anyone tackle these yet?
edit: I contacted Verizon via chat and they needed to activate the Video Calling on their end, even though it was active on my account already.
