You'll get help in the question section, but flash stock in Odin then restore your nandroid that you should've made

You would be better following the instructions when installing firmware ..
Remove battery for one hour charge battery .
Suggest you try flashing a stock rom via Odin .
No download mode then buy USB recovery jig .

i installed Resurrection rom 1.0 and i've just found out it doesn't have cwm. i can't flash anything, recover anything etc. apparently i need a cwm zip file? (fake flash?) but where the hell do you get that from?
is it safe to just go into download mode and start from scratch with odin?

the only time i've ever used odin was to flash lighning rom when i first rooted. everything since then has been via cwm.
screw it, i'll do that again. go all the way back to GB lightning. at least i'll have a proper recovery

maybe that's why we were made redundant last week, hmmmm.
flashing latest lightning fixed it i think. woot
So I used this guide http://rootgalaxys3iii.com/root-galaxy-s3-tutorial-one-click-root-cwm-for-galaxy-s3-via-odin/
which uses the program odin and a certain tar file
Everything went smoothly up until I got a fail message in the odin bar, after that , I rebooted my phone by removing battery and now it says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again
I now realize that this guide was for the international version, not the T-mobile version that I needed!
Is there anyway I can fix this, I hope it isn't bricked
Thanks in advance
Can you get your phone in recoovery mode ? If you can, then reflash stock rom. You should be able to get it in general forum.

Hello guys!
My problem is that I wanted to root my freind's I9100, but something went totally wrong...
Now my problem is that the bootloader doesn't seem to work... I hold the power button, the screen lights up, nothing happens for 1-2 minutes, it crashes and it all begins again.
The only thing that is working (I think) is the Download mode...
I tried to flash VillainROM v1.1 (I read that it would solve the problem somewhere), but it didn't work...
Also with that ROM I can get to the recovery, but unfortunately it can't find the storage (Of course I have a backup on there...)
I'm really worried right now, because it's not mine...
Please help me! :crying:
If you can get into Download mode, then flash a stock rom and see if that fixes your problem.
Stock rom 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 without the emmc brick bug

Didn't work for me... Any other ideas?
EDIT: I waited some minutes and now it says "KERNEL PANIC UPLOAD MODE" any ideas?
EDIT2: I've done a lot of research now and it seems like I have an emmc-brick which can only be fixed by re-partitioning... does anyone know where I can get the PIT file and if that would fix it? THANKS
what method did u use to root??
I didn't root it, i installed CWM recovery, wiped system, and then when i tried to wipe data it crashed...

I don't think that this makes a difference, root basically is just some modified system files, isn't it?
and with a new rom the old system partition gets wiped completely
I dont think its super bricked if u can power on the device. try to get into download mode and flash a stock rom. If you have warranty you better take your phone to samsung repair centre

That's what I tried about 15 times...
Only the rom, with bootloader, with all 4 parts, with pit, only pit, only kernel, pit & all 4 parts, nothing seems to work...
when I try all 4 parts it's stuck at DATAFS (or something like that)
& when I flashed VillianROM v1.1 it gets me into recovery, but it always says that it can't find E:\*
Please help me & thanks for you who tries / tried to help me...

Actually i know what I'm doing...
It looks like it's hardbricked because of a so called "brick bug" on the newest android version for the S2/Note

No it cant be. If you can power on your device its not super bricked..If it was super bricked your phone would be just a piece of plastic that gets heat up near the camera area. you should have just flashed a safe kernel like siyah using odin. Its perfectly safe. you must have ticked the repartition on Odin
Your data partition is corrupted. And only flashing a .pit file would save your phone. If it doesnt, i think samsung is the only way...

I got the "verizon has detected unauthorized software" soft brick earlier today, i since have been trying and trying to flash stock in odin to no avail. now, instead of the "detected unauthorized software," i get "firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies & try again." Kies doesn't do anything and odin fails every time. Can anyone help me? I don't know what else to do.
So you can still get into download mode successfully?

Update I accidentally put a ROM on that was meant for T Mobile
There's a thread by Adam Outler that has the stock 4.1.1 firmware and a .pit file you need to flash in Odin with the .pit file in the partition slot. Then update using Verizon's OTA till your on 4.1.2 then use the newest CASUAL to root and unlock boot loader.

+1. Happened to me on my tablet. The phone is stuck in download mode with that message so just flash the stock firmware and the .pit via Odin and start over.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 ME7 build that has been rooted with Safestrap and working fine. Today I wanted to unroot it, so I used Odin v. 3.07 to flash this file: I545VRUAME7_I545VZWAME7_I545VRUAME7_HOME.tar.md5. This failed in Odin (attached is screenshot of Odin dialog). I took out the battery and tried to turn the phone back on, and got the download screen with the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.". Unfortunately, I did all of this before uninstalling safestrap and I don't know if that's the issue. I can still get into Odin mode, but don't know what to do from here. Please help! Thanks!
U can't flash through Odin in me7 that's the whole reason safestrap is on our phones to begin with

So, is there any way to fix this?
Have you tried the "no-wipe" recovery image? I believe there is one available for your build.
