I have done it to page plus... It's a Verizonprepaid service with good rates. They are the only prepaid that I know of that doesn't require a
donor phone as they will add your sprint esn to their database. No activation charges so its free to try. Can whip up a guide if anyone is interested

Yea I have mine on cricket for the moment, I'm sure you can flash it on metro, page, boost, Verizon, whatever floats your boat.

Nope 4g doesn't work. Only 1x and 3g (3g only works on some areas not all)

How did you do that? Because I'm looking to switch to metro as well.
I have mine flashed to boost, I've had every evo I've ever had flashed to boost, I'm kinda getting tired of my evo lte thinking bout the S3 or note2 and they can be flashed to boost too, the have to be sprint phones tho

i want to flash my LTE to a diff company but it seems like every person i see that flashes there phone to boost.. metro.. pre paid verizon.. has something that dont work.. some there data dont work.. some cant make calls but data works.. some everything works but pic messages.. does anyone have everything working correctly 3g data.. calls.. texts.. pic messages ? if so what is it flashed too.. cause im am sick of paying so much.. i used to pay 105$ just one line me.. then i got my pops on my plan he has an iphone and now my bill is around 185$ thats with tax but still i thought it would be cheapier adding another line.. so i have been thinking about flashing my evo over but only if i can get everything working.. thanks

105 WTF. That's alot. Just wanna suggest tmobile who either has an truly unlimited 4g data plan for 70 or it's coming out soon or verizon prepaid.
I'm on verizon prepaid and have 3g calls texts and pic messages working.

Nope. T-mobile is GSM. Sprint is CDMA.
It wont work with tmobile but maybe you can get it to work with metropcs or even boost.
Although I hear there are some legal concerns about doing this..
You need to buy the EVO 3D from Rogers Canada

You can't. T-mobile needs SIM card slot, Sprint does not. You could get the sensation, a replica with out 3D and half the amount of RAM.

If you search the forum a bit you can find threads on how to do this. I'm sure I've seen a thread or two on metropcs and evo 3d.

yeah i saw it too. but i think you cant get mms on it thru metropcs. i hope i'm wrong. i'd love to move from my $55/month (taxes included) on tmobile to $40/month with metropcs. i'd be happy.

It's not called unlocking for Metro, Unlocking is a term used for GSM Phones.
You are wanting to FLASH to metro pcs. From what I know there is some CDMA workshop trickery involved, and I believe you DONT need to be rooted for it to work although I could be wrong. Also btw ROOTING ≠ UNLOCKING
Metro is garbage, if you want the best, pre paid , its page plus, 45- buck a month with unlimited talk text and 20mb internet but best part is it uses verizons service

lmao...what good is that when u got no data? not only that but PP needs a verizon esn.....if there was a way to change the esn on the evo 3d u think people would pick PP over boost? metro roams off of sprints towers. u can actually load a sprint prl into any metro phone and it will work. anyhow metro is great cause u get unlimited data, even if its slow u still get data and all ur apps work. yes you can flash the evo 3d to metro pcs, its same as flashing any other phone. u need cdma ws to change the passwords and all that stuff the m.ip and the ppp. i sold my last evo 3d on metro pcs alsmot fully working...mms is not working. im getting another evo 3d in 4 days ill see if now with root theres a way to get mms. all apps work on metro pcs.
google: flash evo 4g to metro pcs and its the same settings. u will need cdma ws 3.7 its worth buying it
U can get unlimited data for more money.

As far as I know not the Sprint Version as far as the gsm Evo 3d I don't know. The radio's don't work and I don't think even if they did Verizon would allow it like the little guys do (coughs boost cough) Even so the Boost network is Sprint's that they pay to use. I do know that Verizon PRL works on our phone but it counts as roaming and sprint will give you the boot for using it too much. I only use it when I visit my father as it's the only way I can get a signal and use it SPARINGLY until the wife and I drive home.

I think technically speaking, the CDMA EVO 3D will operate on Verizon's 3G frequencies. WiMAX will not work through a Verizon account.
In order to get the device to operate mainly on Verizon and be registered to a Verizon account would be another story and process .. not sure Verizon would support or faciliate this process, let alone allow.

No worries, if you're getting a new phone w/ Verizon I'd say sell your Evo3D for about 250-300 on ebay/craigslist and then wait for the Galaxy Nexus.

I got my Evo LTE in and wanted to know if it is capable of being flashed to work on verizon. Family member has a verizon account and I wanted to get my phone (EVO LTE) added to their account.
I saw a video on youtube showing it was flashed to verizon prepaid but I wanted to do it for post paid. Also that video was a sales ad and not a how to. Is this even possible since its a new phone?
Most likely yes but I doubt if LTE works. This phone is currently flashable to cricket, metro PCs, and boost mobile.

dont need it to work on lte. 3g evdo is fine. i can get 2mbps on that and thats more than enough for now.

I can get you the names of the software I used to flash mine to cricket. Your gonna need a Verizon prl.

Ya its technically compatible, if you can jump through the hoops regarding their ESN datanase. However, LTE will NOT wotk, there's no need to guess. This phone is compatible with 1900MHz LTE, Verizon uses 700MHz (one of the reasons it achieves such great penetration).

i did all that but its seems to be working with fast data speeds just evry few minutes the data drops an reconnects. Its annoying and i have a good signal and i know its not the 3g coverage cuz i used an evo 3d and galaxy s2 with no problems just having issues with the lte

Sure if you want 3g speeds then yes you need a Verizon donor like the fascinate. Plus you need a cheap Verizon prepaid phone. One that's not activated yet. You can a fascinate that's currently active just have to back up its settings so you can restore it when your finished with it. But the prepaid phone needs not be activated

Do you have any more information about how I can go about doing this?
It's is possible it would require a reprogramming of the DSP. This has NEVER been done other than MTF.
If someone can obtain a similar phone with the SAME chipset on Verizon it could be cloned.
Don't hold you breath, but I think all LTE chipsets are capable of the entire spectrum meaning it's software.
Any word on this?

I purchased an S 2 from AT&T a while back. I have sense let my plan run out and now bought a prepaid SIM card. the problem is is that now my data does not work because of the 4 G AT&T does not offer 4 G with a prepaid. there is hardly any 4 G coverage where I'm from anyways but I would at least like the 3G to work. is there a way that I can get it to work like flashing ROM or something. I'm not a total noob to this stuff I just hang out at android Forums because of my zte. thank you very much for any of your help.

If your SIM card doesnt allow it, then its not gonna be possible. No S/W can change that.
But if your SIM does allow 3g, then odds are you need proper APN settings. Google it if thats the case.

I would think that it would the 50 dollar monthly unlimited plan. from everything that I've read thus far I've got it narrowed down to something with the phone. I read about the apn settings once before and thought that that was it so I will definitely read more and do what needs to be done.thanks

By any chance are you using Straight Talk? You were vague about which prepaid service.
Straight Talk is supposed to offer an AT&T compatible sim that actually works off the AT&T network.

sorry about being so vague yes it is the AT&T prepaid service. I'm doing the apn settings as we speak so will see if they work.
I had the 50 dollar unlimited plan as well but it really is only for calling and texting. I still had to purchase a data plan and it was 25 dollars for one gig.After I got the data plan 4G started. You have to use the old cingular apn settings to get 4G but you cannot get 4G LTE on a prepaid plan. And just a heads up...when your prepaid needs to be renewed..4G data will shutdown for a few hours.

you can get everything working but 4g.. 3g will work just not 4g at this time
