You should check to see if those devices are compatible. If they have Windows 7 drivers available, install them and see if they work.

[Q] GT-I9100 won't connect to PC

Hi There..
Newlly purchaused device from Ebay , GT-I9100, GB 2.3.4
Using the cable that came along with the device.
When I connect it to the PC it won't even recognize the device.
Nothing happen on the PC while on the device it say : MTP-connected"
Tried on multiple PC/Laptop with different OS.
Faulty device or is there anything else to do?

yes it is installed. the thing is that I would expect the PC to at least recognize the device and ask for drivers even if the drivers wasn't installed
Try another USB cable(If you can) try another USB port(Just for test)

did that already and even tested the original cable with the Wife's HTC. The cable is fine.
Maybe tried to switch on Another mod not MTP.
Or try to enable USB debugging in Developer options

Hi,
It happened with me too, and there is nothing wrong with the device, its fine.
My friend told me this,
update your Kies software to the latest version, then close the Kies. i mean the kies application should not be running.
Then connect the device and wait for sometime, till the message appears -- MTP connected.
Then open the Kies application, and let the Kies to identify the device.
If it says some error, like device not recognized, then there is an option to debug the connectivity.
Try that option too.
It'll connect surely, but you should be patient.
I think, its the problem with Kies software. I use it only to update the Android firmware. But now, I'm on Custom ROM, so this Kies is no more required for me.
Regards,
Hereticnine.

Lets assume I wanna simply connect it as mass storage. shouldn't the device be idetified ? I mean it's as if the PC OS doesn't recognize it at all
As if it wasn't even attached to the PC.
EDIT: It doesn't recognize the device on debugging mod either

Correct. Even without Samsung USB drivers installed your PC (I guess running Windows) should show a reaction. At least the PC should report an unknown device.
Maybe you should try installing the drivers manually? Not sure if it's gonna help but might as well try, right?
If that doesn't work either maybe you should try contacting the one you got the phone from. Maybe there's something wrong with the particular device.

OK, one last option. Can a Faulty ROM instillation cause the device not to connect to my PC?
Other than that I guess I should get a replacement for my device.
Thanks for your assistance guys

Does it give you any error while connecting or what? Try on a different PC and also delete USB drivers in Device manager!

Does your phone used to connect properly beforethe problem, if the answer is yes,
Then you should reinstall ROM as it may be corrupted, i also had same problem but after re flashing ROM through Odin it was fine.

Did you tried conecting your phone, while it's turned on (file transfer)? If not, then try that first, and if it's working, you need to check your drivers, if it doesn't work, then try different USB port, if thath doesn't help, than your phone is malfunctioning.

If you are on windows 8 or 10 , you need to disable driver signature enforcement, and after that, you can install the drivers which are included in flashtool folder. Search on the internet a tutorial on how to do that.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 X200 (2022) - Odin Device Detection Issue

Hi Everyone,
I need help with Odin. I am new to this root and I was trying to install TWRP through AP Odin v3.13.4 but my Windows 10 does not detect my Tab A8 in downloading mode.
I have tried replacing cables, reinstalling drivers(Samsung-USB-Driver-v1.7.48.0), smart switch and even switching my PC (Windows 10) but the drivers are not detected and when I try to install the driver by providing location it gives me an error that "Device Description Request Fail". I need to get through this and I will really appreciate your help.
