With all these news leaks and roms available now it would be nice to know what people get for battery life across the different leaks and roms.
Post a pic of your battery usage and screen on time and what your using to get it
My setup is in my signature
These are the first stats since i started trying anthrax and it was all going good till the second day. i have no clue why
there are a few reasons why i created a new thread:
1.most people werent posting pic but instead just stats
2.the thread was ancient, created in november and the last post was in
late january, bumped in feb by a trolling gnex user

I used incredicontrol to undervolt everything by 50 or 75 in incredicontrol. Using stock freqs, and ondemand governor. And used danuntzz's tool to do most of the desensing/debloating.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382630
I also used Romtoolbox's auto start manager to keep things from opening in the background, it's probably the most helpful app I've used. Thanks next I just need the mugen 4000mAh so I'd only need to charge it on the weekends, but that thing is really expensive for a battery.
I thought these were pretty good numbers for locked and stock.

I need to figure out what's wrong with mine. I'm getting results like this with the extended VZ battery. I have to keep it plugged in all the time. Even with 4G disabled (3G still on), no wifi, no bluetooth; most days it will be dead in 8-10 hours.
Currently running 5/1 leak radios (RUU'd last week), running BAMF ICS 2.1 with the kernel that came with the Rom (1512mhz max, 384mhz min). Most syncing besides gmail is disabled.
I'll get a pic whenever i go unplugged again. I'm working remotely this week and am keeping it plugged up during conference calls.

that sounds like a rom from the first ics leak which has bad battery and heat issues (for some). so yeah try a newer one

Not too much, about 1 hour 15 minutes, but the thing that makes this impressive to me is a large chunk of my day was spent on campus, where liminal signal sucks my battery dry.
Yea!...That, and the fact that Michigan still sucks!
agree
i have to agree with you i as well saw way better battery life today with the newest leak. running Venasaur 3.1.
Ditto. I'm running stock on the new leak, no custom roms or anything and I'm seeing a very nice boost in battery life, running the same apps that I did on GB.
I came from the GB OTA went straight to s-off to the latest leak.
Leak is official...sweet love this kernel with rezrom 3.4 smoothed out the temps and speed. Not feeling the radios where I frequent though lower signal

Pretty much the same experience here; I was wondering if that was because verizon was rolling out a bunch of LTE cities in Ohio yesterday. A big part of the day I could only get 3g where I usually get 4g.
Meh. I'll sit on it another day. There did seem to be some network issues in the air.

the problem is most likely you, not the kernel. don't use any sort of app that will affect the CPU frequencies or governer, and be careful which monitoring app you use. many will cause this behavior. if you absolutely must peek at the CPU, try this widget:

i've had positive results with it.

weird.
maybe it's system panel then? i've used system panel since GB, and on GB it shows it as constantly changing..but on all ICS stuff, which everyone else has agreed with, it shows constant 1512 and sometimes going to 384 then back up.
now, when i look at your apps widget here, its set to 5 sec interval and constantly scaling. is system panel bad?

are you restoring the wifi profile from google or from titanium? i have had this problem in the past. i just "forget" the network and re add it.
I do have google set to back up my settings, but it never seems to restore the wifi settings like it's supposed to, i always have to re-enter my wifi information each time i flash a new ICS leak onto the phone. I've read through various threads and tried a few different suggestions but none of them seemed to work.

yeah the 3.8 is fine in the later leaks, but i felt like the 3.7 was better, could have just been placebo tho lol
If you' guys are talking about voltage, then mathimatically & theorhetically the 3.8 one would last longer if they're the same mAh and being used under the same exact conditions.
To my experience, the 3.7 lasts longer and runs cooler. I have one of both and use both on a daily basis.

Is HTC still planning on updating this thing to ICS or have they just decided to scrap it? Has there been any official word from them regarding the Tbolt's fate? Some guy at Radioshack told me HTC has officially cancelled the ICS update, but I haven't seen or heard any other source so far that mirrors his assertion.
Have any of you guys read anything regarding whether or not ICS is still a go for us Tbolt owners?
Was wondering the same
I'll put it this way just give up hoping and you will feel better in about a week. Then when its cancelled officially you're not bummed. Then if by an act of god its released. you can be pleased by the news. We are going on what 5 months from the original release date? I think by now we can put the horse out to pasture with these threads every month.
Look at the facts this phone is about to hit its second anniversary. Another is its not a nexus device as that seems to be the only brand that gets updates even after the phone is old.

I agree with everything that said here HTC says they will be coming out with another ICS update for all phones with greater than 512 MB of memory this would have 768. But the normal next up is one gig of memory the best thing to do is go back to gingerbread under volt your CPU and get a resound battery. between under voting and the Rezound battery I have passed up upgrades for the last six months because my phone not only last longer than when I got it but faster.
Even if this phone does get ics the battery will be cut in half. Ics it's a great selling point when you want to Craig's list it but the power drain will bee twice what it was on gingerbread
The power drain on ICS won't be twice as fast. What even makes you think that? In all reality it should be twice as good since ICS handles resources better and uses hardware rendering for the ui freeing up CPU cycles.

Galaxy nexus is a prime example. Look at all the newer ics phones out there. Their battery like is like double ours. Its proven ics doesn't improve battery life. The gnex is a prime example as its battery size is somewhere close to ours. Even running twisted ics rom battery life is no better than a gb aosp rom. So I think you are in for a rude awakening when and if we get ics. I never heard Google say battery life with ics was suppose to be better. That's just what board member started. We all know the main power drain on phones are the screens. How can an os upgrade improve an old screen in being more efficient? In the end battery life on the bolt will either be the same or worse. Don't even think our little weak battery is going to have the same performances as the larger extended battery's.

The galaxy nexus also has a faster processor than this phone and sports a super amoled screen. Nexus phones are like muscle cars, they're fast as hell but man does the mpg suck.
I can verify that ICS won't make the battery life worse. I had my Nexus S 4G when ICS released and going from Gingerbread 2.3.7 to ICS 4.0 made a huge difference in battery life. I suddenly didn't have to carry my charger with me to college.

Everyone says that the dual core processors are suppose to be more forgiving on power useage. Beings it doesn't have to work as hard like our single core processors do. I have seen the newer corvettes get close to 30 MPG. Its not the power but the gearing that really sucks gas lol.
Sent from my SHIFTAO5P using Tapatalk 2
Ive never heard anyone say dual core saves battery. The lte chip in the phone is what sucks the battery most of the time. The newer phones like the dna have the lte chip embedded in the cpu which helps save battery. A friend of mine has one and can talk for an hour on the phone and only lose 7%. He can go almost an entire day without putting it on charge.

By comparison, I can't get 12 hours on the T'Bolt running NuSense and just over 12 hours running Infected ROM.
That's with all the tricks I can find and swapping Rezound batteries.
The T'Bolt is just a battery hog, most BBs have much longer battery life.
NOTE: I hear constantly that Sense uses a lot of juice but I have very little difference with de-sensed ROMs and...... I LIKE Sense.

Dude, you cant really compare any blackberry to an android device. BlackBerry isn't even close to the power that android has. Also, nusense had to use an incomplete rom as a base which has had a huge affect on the battery life.
