Install app's on extSD card? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I'm new with my SGSIII,
I can install app's on my (ext sd card)?
I have currently partitioned as follows:
(13.1Gb Fat 32, + 882Mb Swap2 + 960 Mb Ext3) (16 GB) level 4
My phone is not root, and is still new factory and is free.

All apps are installed on internal memory. But you can transfer apps data to ext sdcard.

try link2sd,
i dont know only one thing: where this program move files (apk+cache) cause i dont see them in /sd-ext and app2sd app (i forget about uninstalling it) is showing that app is in internal storage but internal storage free memoory is like it was before moving.
EDIT: after reboot it is in data/sdext2 folder (before in /data folder).

Neutrino 2.9 emmc vs sdcard

Hi
I installed Neutrino 2.9gt rom. I have a 32gb sdcard in phone.
In stock rom apps used to install in 10gb part (old name sdcard) and sdcard was named as sdcard-ext . My media was in 32gb ext card. It was easier like this.
Now 10gb part is named as emmc and 32gb sdcard is named as sdcard. If i chose to intall apps to internal they are installed to 2gb reserved internal memory and if i chose to intall external apps are installed in 32gb external card.
So how can use this rom as stock roms . I want apps to be installed in 10gb part (newly emmc)
Thx in advance & sorry for grammer )
There should be an option somewhere in settings that says to use internal storage or something. Haven't used my atrix in a few months so I don't remember.

some roms/recoverys do mount sdcard as external sd or sd-ext. i have got very confused when i switched from one to the other.
Below the option to install apps is a checkbox saying Use Internal Storage. Its swaps emmc and SD card. So it should install to the 10gb as it is now the external memory.
Settings,cyanogenmod settings, application
D3 was right.

You never stated that it fails. You said it installs to the sd card but didn't mention anything else.

[Q] Directory Bind

Do I need to create a second partition for Directory Bind?

No you just need an external memory card in the device for the files (apps, data, photos and other items) to be stored.

So I should format my SD card to FAT32?
As an Alternative you can us External SD 2 Internal SD mod found here in the XDA forum.
Using it with my 64gb external and it works flawlessly. Internal Mem read 64gb, external reads 16gb
Moved all app data over and everything works perfect.
Because I am bored at work I found you the link if your interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772234&highlight=ext

can you move games/apss to EXT SD?

I got my S2 rooted. can I move these games from the internal and sd memory to my REAL EXTERNAL SD card?
And still have the icons @ the same place @ dekstop and play them directly?
How would I do this?
Thanks.
Use Link2SD app. You can also create a second part of your sd-card with MiniTool Partition Wizard for Windows then link your apps to this 2nd part. Root needed.

[Q] use GL to SD and Link2sd side by side??

I have used link2sd to link all my apps to my sd card.
But link2sd doesn't move the data, it only moves apk and cache and library files.
I have asphalt 7 with a data of about 1 gb, and I can use Gl to sd to move the data.
But on Gl to sd download page it is said that it will interfere with other mount scripts and all that.
My question : is it safe to use Gl to sd and link2sd side by side, or will it cause any problems???
Which android version does your phone have????
