Hi all
My wi-fi dont work on kernel 132 nor 133 nor 129

Can any one - highly appreciated - give me download link for fxp kernel 127 ?
I used xperia S ROM v6 then v7 ( released today ) and wi-fi don't work!
Help please.

You should not post here, questions are for question and answer. But here's kernel fxp133 https://www.box.com/s/be87d4a9091b1ed41984

@brenty108, sorry i'm new here.
For the supervisor: please move my thread to the suitable forum :$
i tried kernel 133 and the same,
Some recommended to use kernel 127, but can't find it's download link.
134 was released before some hours, where can i download it?
BRGRDS

The fxp team his not uploaded it yet you have to wait a while. Flash the kernel I posted, the flash over the rom. Before flashing try wiping everything even system. And then message me if it works ok.

Dude u have unlocked ur bootloader. So u cant directly flash the stock image. U can only insatll a prerooted image via recovery in ur kernel. Or if u want to flash the stock image, lock ur bootloader by the tool given in flashtool and then flash the stock rom, root it, unlock bootloader again and then flash ur rom.. Stock image comes with stock kernel. it is not compatible with unlocked bootloader. unlocked bootloader requires a special file called loader.sin which is found wen u flash kernels for unlocked bootloaders.

You can use ferakernel only for feraroms....
If you flash Xperia x10s ROM then you should use doomlords kernel but remember you also need to download WiFi fix...

with ferakernel you dont need to flash wifi fix zip... wifi fix is only for from doomlord's kernel.. So when you flash ferakernel dont flash wifi fix..
Flash the kernel and then go to recovery and flash the rom... reboot the system and let the nsystem settle down after you set up google account and wifi... then go back to recovery install addon packs, wipe cache/dalvik and reboot... you should be ok after these... But remember dont flash wifi fix for ferakernel...

This kernel and wifi fix can be used for X10S roms, techdevil rom, donut HD rom.. but remember flash kernel then flash rom and then flash wifi fix..
I'm attaching FXP132 kernel which you can flash for ICS roms... i found it better/easier than KCernel
I don't advice using ICS roms as they r not good for battery life... Since you r soft bricked your phone again..
Go to flahtool and flash coorect kernel for corresponding rom like ferakernel for ferarom.. doomlords kernel for X10S or techdevil..

You need to flash it not download google apps which is going to be needed for the rom to work. other than that no need to add any more google apps from the market
i dont know why, but it works with latest release 2.19 and -11 kernel. hooray
thanks for the help, tho
after you've done flashing nAa kernel and restart your phone, did you press back button several times.?
If you don't flash Google apps you'll not have Market installed. Try 2011-06-13 signed version and after that remove unwanted apps and update all apps to latest versions. This particular version of gapps is most stable on my phone. I had problems too with other versions.

Hi,
I had the same problem in u20i. The problem was in the baseband. I had flashed the kernel in the wrong baseband.
Check if you have the right baseband. Reflash the original rom and update via seus first and then try flashing nAa kernel.
This worked for me. Good luck.

For those of you stuck at booloop, this IS important. You have to make sure you are on baseband 015 for the ROM to work. If you can't check 'cause you're stuck, try downloading and flashing it anyway. If it boots, bingo, you were on the wrong version. If not, then the issue is something else

You will be able to update normally to ICS using PC companion, but to be ablolutely sure, you better relock your bootloader before the update...
@bbooff: few days ago I flashed ICS beta from sony page, and I used your kernel for hot boot just so I can install zip with superuser stuff.
Today I flashed stock .62fw, and wanted to hot boot with your kernel, but no luck, I needed to flash it in order to boot into CWM.
You got any idea why id did cooperate on ICS and not on clean .62
Also I couldn't do factory reset while I was using your kernel. I guess that is kinda normal as it's not stock kernel, but still I thought it should work

I have no idea!
The opposite is what should had happened.
I think that if you reinstall 0.62 (using flashtool and not wotan) and then my kernel, everything will be o.k.
If you install a custom kernel, you can do a factory reset through the cwm menu.

it allows you to boot with kernel without flashing it.
your kernel is very good.... simple and easy... helped me restore my phone back...
But now i am facing one more problem...
whenever I try to install any other kernel through fastboot, that kernel does not work; instead your kernel starts booting up...
Can you please throw some light on it?

aww man.. u should learn first about flashing custom rom, and read in its thread thoroughly.
KA08 is gingerbread while ka09 is ICS, u need new kernel for the ics to boot. or u can install newest ka10.2 rom which has kernel inside it.
gud luck.
After flashing rom you must flash ics kernel at least. Or Upgrade your phone to ics ( stock Sony's firmware ) before flashing KA09. Additionally, the newest KA for Xperia S is 10.2

This tread should be in Q&A not in DEV.
Anyway do U have bootloader unlocked?
That rom is a 2.3 rom and you need to have and unlocked bootloader. You need to have 2.3 on your device first which would you would find in my signature below. So skip through the tread and find 2.3 Download it and flash it and try the rom again.
Sent from my X10i
Dude u r in 2.1 now. It has a baseband of .49 or .54. GB needs a baseband of .71. So the only option is first u download a pre-rooted firmware image and flash it via flashtool. U will boot into GB. Then unlock bootloader using Laser's method and install custom kernel like DoomKernel.
Follow this method
[RECOVERY image] {v2} X10 GB 3.0.1.G.0.75 [Prerooted + Fixed xRecovery] to insatll the prerooted firmware using flashtool.
Unlock bootloader using this steps from
[HOW-TO]UNLOCK bootloader for X10
Then flash DoomKernel from this link
[KERNEL][X10] DooMKernel [UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS]{Rel:v06}[Dt:10/Jan][FW3.0.1.G.0.75] and boot up into stock rom or the previous GB rom u r using.
For Stock based roms, DoomKernel is simply the best.
For CM7 based roms, use FXP 130 kernel provided here FXP 130 and
For CM9 based roms, use FXP 132 kernel for better performance which u can download in FXP CM9 Thread.

thanks to brenty108 for the help
If that rom is in ftf format
Open with 7zip or winrar
Look for kernel.sin
And place it in a folder
In flashtool create kernel
Point it to the folder containing kernel.sin
You should then be able to place your created kernel into firmware folder and flash it
I haven't had much experience with those roms so it's just a suggestion

Okay. then, do this.
Choose any ROM you like.
Flash via Flashtools base firmware(If you choose a GB rom then Flash any Gingerbread Stock Firmware, if you choose an ICS then flash any ICS Stock Firm..)
Flash any compatible kernel
Turn your phone on and enter cwm Recovery
Flash te ROM and do all wipes that ROM requires(its on OP of the ROM you 've selected)
Reboot and hope it works well!
Hope this can solve your problem

that's a problem,
how can i fix this without loosing root?
because the root i've done doesn't work with all roms
i found this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796272
the developer posts the baseband link, do i need to change it? and may it have relation with my problem?
and what about lossing root with that rom?

FYI : if you already unlock the bootloader, you don't have to root it anymore....just flash any custom kernel into your phone...all custom kernel is pre-rooted and have CWM be default....
flash any custom kernel first, then you can install any custom roms or official roms with losing your root....
