Any stable JB ROMs with data yet? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Any Jelly bean ROMs for Droid RAZR Maxx that have all the essentials like WiFi and Data and aren't too buggy? If not which is the most stable and mainstream ICS ROM?
Sorry for the n00b question but I have to install this on my wife's phone so can't experiment too much. Plus I have learnt not to experiment with ROMs without asking questions first after almost bricking my VZW GS3.

It's best to read and see what is best for you. No there are no fully running jb ROMs yet....but soon. As far as ics I have r run both eclipse and simplex. Both are amazing and pretty much bug free since they are stock based. All the CM9 ROM have quirks, but are still very good. That's why I say read the different ones and see what meets you're needs.

Should I Root?

Hey
I have a stock Galaxy S3 and am liking it very much (except a few bugs that annoy me). I wasn't sure if it would be worth rooting to get Jelly Bean? I have rooted most of my phones before since the HTC Hero, however I have found that eventually it has ended with me having an unstable, buggy UI, even with the most 'bug-free' ROMs. It's probably something that I've been doing wrong, but I'm still unsure about the risk. It's a shame because I love changing ROMs, and getting different experiences on my phone, but don't want to make things worse.
So do you think its worth me staying on the stock ROM is best, or should I root? If so, anyone recommend a tutorial or give me any tips?
Thanks!
Sammy roms are fairly buggy. Cm all the way. IMO cm10 is the best phone experience I've ever had. Ooooh the butter is gooood

Yeah I noticed that, it was very strange coming from a Sense ROM. Is Jelly Bean even that different to ICS?
If your not exactly sure what your doing search for s3 toolkit
If u know a little bit already then cfroot via Odin is the best option.

I've been using the razr HD rom it's smooth and almost flawless

Actually using cm9 that runs smoothly and has some fundamental features (for me) like back-button-kill-app, customizable toggles in notification bar and battery percentage.
I admit that jb is eve smoother but surely still too bugged
Right now, this is the best jb rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964792
Have yet to find a custom Rom with functional exchange, Bluetooth, and camera that I like. Currently running a cleaned, heavily optimized and themed stock. Runs beautifully, fast, and everything works. 26hrs average battery life with moderate usage. #win

i run ikream 2.11 final it is close to stock and has full functionality with %battery
i have run both 2.14 & 2.15 kernals as well
i found these to be the most stable and provide me with the most battery life
In this moment for me the best rom is the dtrail1 rom. Works perfectly and he is now working in kexec

I have been running rooted with the stock ICS ROM and Nova Prime with a couple of goodies added via Root explorer. I personally have been veering away from Jelly Bean for now on my RAZR as there are a couple of apps that I really like that don't play well with JB right now. No complaints and plenty of battery life.
I've switched to D-WiZ (using the stock kernel) a few days ago, and so far I am very pleased.
Battery usage is great, which is a stated goal of this ROM, and everything works at least as well as other ROMs I've tried.
Development is also happening at a very brisk pace, though it remains to be seen how long that continues.
Im considering using the Full Throttle AOKP jelly bean, its looks good. Has anyone used it personally and can say if this rom would be a go or not?

I'm running D-Wiz from dtrail1 and i think it's the best !
Very good battery and performance, and there is an KEXEC Version coming, that means the Rom won't have the typical cm issues!

For me was FTS. Switched on D-WIZ coz I like things moving on
I've been using Black Widow for a week now as my daily ROM. I really like the look, and with Juice Defender, the battery life is outstanding.

I am using D-WiZ Rom right now as my daily driver since it is being worked on. CM10 is nice, snappier, but it doesn't seem like anyone is working on fixing the bugs.

Currently running stock but I am eagerly waiting for dtrail's kexec version :good:
I have used the following:
i-Kream
Killer
SkullCandy
Artic
Liquid
Black Widow
Bionx
Eclipse 1.2 & 1.5
Simplex
My daily driver is Eclipse 1.5. I just flashed 1.5 from 1.2 and it is very stable, pretty, awesome battery life. Everything works (BT, Camera, Data). It isn't JB per se, but it has some JB things going on in it.
My daily driverROM is the Black Widow ICS. Very stable, everything works, great look, excellent battery life (not that stock was bad on the Maxx). Safestrap makes swappingROMs easy.

[Q] Which rom for best battery life and stability?

Hey guys I just purchased this one for my mother who is new to smart phones. I want to ask which rom is best for battery life and is stable? I searched on this forum and people were saying ICS Passion but that was a year or two ago and I saw that it is no longer supported. It was be awesome if you guys could recommend me a rom since my mom isn't much of a flash-a-holic so I don't want to flash each and every rom to test it for a day or two.
Thanks for the help.
*As compared to stock.
Since she's new to smartphones, I'd suggest a Froyo ROM. They have great battery life and simple to use interface. I can't say specifically which Froyo is better because I have JB. (Which I don't recommend for newbies.)
Well unfortunately the problem is almost every ROM is no longer coming out with new builds because they have moved on to new things. This means that they are all working on 4.2.1. Yet cm10 and hellybean are both very stable 4.1 ROMs. This is what I am running at the moment
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
I have a hard time believing someone actually recommended Passion.
I would go with either bionix (froyo) cm7 stable build or cm10. Don't flash a ICS ROM, you run the risk of EU bug.

Why no new rom for RAZR CDMA

Its been a long while since a new rom came out for Razr , we are getting bored with the same old one.
What're you talking about? The DROID RAZR is officially supported on CM10.1, AOKP, and LiquidSmooth. There's also AvatarRom and PACman. That's just AOSP-based roms. There's a handful of awesome stock-based roms floating around too (such as Rage, Aviator, etc). You just need to look a bit harder
What are the main differences between "stock based" and "aosp based" roms. I'm currently running rage 2.4 with the apex launcher and absolutely love it but it's a stock based. Was wondering if it's worth the trouble to try something aosp based.

Head over to http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/forum/156-droid-razr-roms-for-the-jelly-bean-kernel-xt912/ there's a lot of new ROMs and old ones root tools and kernel compatible utility hope this helps you out

yes it is definitely worth going AOSP. Don't really know why it'd be more trouble than doing a stockbased custom ROM though.
I'd definitely recommend CM10.1. I've been loving cyanogenMOD since the early days of the Droid2 lololol
Pretty sure stock based roms tend to be more stable whereas an aosp bases ROM might have a thing or two broken like cameras and what not. Just my typical experience.

can someone provide a link to the pacman rom and the official liquidsmooth rom please. Also I need a rom the has a fully working camera with video and mms with stock messaging app. Thanks
I don't see a point in this thread.

Which custom ROM you recommend?

There are very many roms in the dev section. I want people here to recommend roms they are using. Fast and stable with some nice features.
I only know liquidsmooth, stock aokp and cm10.1. The last one seem the most stable. I want miui v5 though :/
This is a good question..... I just got a Droid RAZR and I really like the phone and was wondering what is a good custom ROM to put on it

well I do use and enjoy pacman
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301493&page=25
Probably one of my favorites is Buttered AOKP! It has a lot of features, seems to be very stable (at least in my usage), and is extremely smooth and fast. I'd definitely give it a try if you haven't already!
That depends mostly on your personal requirements. You might have heard that a lotbut its true.
First of all decide what things are necessary for you and see what ROMs support it.
If you prefer the features of stock ROMs as HDMI,HD recording etc than consider stock based ROMs.
If you feel those features are less imp against customization and other performance tweaks, go for AOKP/AOSP based ROMs.

Best rom for RAZR Maxx in my opinion
Turn your RAZR Maxx into a Samsung device

Hello there, well I think one of the best roms out therewould be pacman, but for me the screen "jitters" a bit so I switched to liquidsmooth 2.7 so far so good.

Not sure but if you wanna search consider this. An initially/only GSM ROM based on stock JB 4.1.2 will use eu ROM as base. See if you can find it.

Rage ROM is my goto ROM. It's fast and clean and I haven't had any problems with it.
Cyanogen Mod 10.1 Has always been the most stable for me.
But Pacman is my favorite solely for its Customization and i love Paranoid Androids Halo!

Liquidsmooth!!!
Liquidsmooth has by far the most customisability, i feel.
I tried CM10.1, locked up as hell. You don't have small conveniences such as swiping left from the pulled-down status bar to get to quick-settings (a feature I used to like a lot in MIUI v4, and also now in Liquidsmooth)
AOKP is way better in such customisability than CM, but... It just seems unstable to my daily use.
LIQUIDSMOOOOOOOOTH haha. Thanks!
Why don't you guys have pure Paranoid Android yet..? Or maybe there's one on a different site somewhere?
Anyways, does anyone want to test my recent PA build for spyder xt912? CDMA only for now (GSM to probably come later).
Candidates must be fluent in flashing custom ROMs and comfortable restoring your system if something goes wrong. Also, a bonus if you know how to get logs and/or can help troubleshoot possible issues (guess I could have done without the "/or" there..). For BMM and/or SS only. And install on a non-main system, please.
PM me for details and/or a link... Maybe first 5 or so people, after that I might not reply - don't be mad..
(Not sure if this was the best place to post for this sort of thing, but better than starting a new thread I suppose)

I've been going back & forth between PACman & Liquidsmooth. I have a slot dedicated to each. I use PACman for the unbelievable customization options & the fact that it uses bits of Paranoid, AOKP & CM; thus giving you a chance to "test" all 3 at the same time. I like Liquidsmooth because it is just that; smooth. I also use it as my more "simplistic" ROM. Enjoy.
