Forgot the answer to your security question or misplaced your Gmail password and you can’t get passed the pattern password on your Xperia Android phone? Don’t worry; here are two options on how to fix it.
1.
If your phone is asking you for your Gmail password to unlock the pattern password you can change your Gmail password according to the guide on www.gmail.com > “Can’t access your account”.
When you’ve changed the password you simply enter the new password in your phone to unlock it.
(Note that in order for this to work your phone needs to have a working Internet connection)
2.
If your phone is asking you to enter the answer to a set security question you will need to perform a software repair on the phone using PC Companion. Note by doing this the internal memory on the phone will also be reset.
Start by downloading and install PC Companion.
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
In PC Companion go to Support Zone > Software update > Repair phone
(Do this while phone is not connected via USB)
Now follow on-screen instructions to repair the phone software.

There are many ways actually,I prefer more to back up my application first, and then I clear all the memory (dalvik,blah3) in CWM mode, and boot up and set up the phone again

If your phone isn't rooted you can't enter cwm, there is no recovery. Just connect it to flashtool and try repair options.

No, I noticed it, too. On sony roms it doesn't ask you for your google account, don't know why

I think we can enter cwm using:
Code:
fastboot -i 0xfce boot boot.img
without flashing the custom kernel.
I hope it helps.

Hello guys,
I was trying to flash Aeon Xperia S Lockscreen, and after flashing i got bootloop. What shall I do? Should i use:
6. Turning the "brick" into a smartphone
If you had unlocked bootloader and did OTA(Over the Air) update, then you probably ended up with a dead phone, aka brick. Don't worry, it is not completely bricked, still can be saved!
Download UnbrickingXperia2011.zip file from this post below.
Unpack the .zip file and place the .ftf file in Flashtool\firmwares folder.
Open Flashtool.
Get your phone to flashmode, make sure it is turned off, press down Volume DOWN button and connect USB cable.
In Flashtool, click the lightning button, pick Flashmode and choose the Xperia_2011_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf file.
Let Flashtool finish.
Install stock firmware and kernel to your phone.
Remove USB cable from your phone and start your phone.
Try not to brick it again, less problems for you.
Method or something else, because i can't boot recovery because I need to reboot to recovery mode. PLEASE HELP!!!
Are u on UL bootloader. If yes then just flash any other kernel from my signature . Recovery comes with it and flash the custom ROM from the recovery...
if u had made a backup before flashing the lockscreen zip u could have restored from that !! this is exactly why u should make a bckup in recovery before messing with your phone.. the point is always mentioned by the developers in all their works and still we ignore it.

if u are getting bootloop it means u have not bricked ur phone. use flashtool to flash old firmware . this will restore your stock ROM and BB. but ur apps and data will be lost. then u can use xparts app from play to install CWM

turn off the phone
Plug usb cable on pc
Press volume up key while plugging usb on your phone. You will see that the led bar becomes blue.
Done
last week my Xperia U's touch is completely and i need to give the phone to a servicing centre. problem is that there are many private photos of my family in the Internal storage of the mobile. i need to factory reset the phone so that no one can access the data. I have a USB cable but the device wont let me choose Removable disk when USB is connected to PC so Data Shredders wont support the pics to be destroyed. Please help me to solve the issue.
Xperia U is not rooted.it has the original ROM.
Xperia U is not S offed / Unlocked.
Touch is not at all working, but the display seems correct.

Factory reset or flashing firmware does not erase data on internal storage, that you can do connecting to PC.
Use PC companion to backup everythingm then use PC Companion or SUS to repair/flash firmware from sony.
You have to unlock bootloader and then flash a kernal with CWM
And then get into recovery and after that format all data by getting into mounts and storage
But unlocked bootloader voids warrenty..... Remember that

LOL @ ya'all
He is going to sony service, obviousely he don't want to void his warranty, and his touch screen is dead so that voids any action that needs interacting with the UI.
