If you r talking about changing boot animation.zip.... then its very easy, copy the boot animation.zip you want and paste n replace it in system/media... fix permissions and you have what you need..

if i delete the bootanimation.zip , then i get the "A N D R O I D" picture instead of the animation.
Many other roms like flash x2.3 for instance , have only 1 bootanimation and it boots very quickly.

You're showing us 2 bootanimations .
One is the default bootanimation when there is no bootanimation.zip in both /system/media and /data/local . while the other is from a bootanimation.zip

I've deleted bootanimation.zip from system/media .
And now when i boot up , it shows "A N D R O I D" first for 10 seconds and then
the "android" in different font(i've included both animations)
The A N D R O I D screen is the boot splash screen and cannot be removed .
The ANDROID bootanimation can be disabled by deleting bootanimation in /system/bin
This was sent from a Galaxy Ace. Problem?

Hey, This is my first piece work.
any way.
I have managed to Port the JB Galaxy Nexus boot animation...
It look like this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uuujV6f6_w
Link : https://www.box.com/s/v737vf2k0vvwq7ng9pub
If that does not work Try
: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BzVqALAzulVxdGZ4RzZZckNfQjQ
THIS NEEDS ROOT!
Do not try this on 2011 xperia Phones!
How to:
-Download the .Zip file and place on SD CARD.
-Open Root Explorer MOUNT R/O
-Go to /system/media change the permissions of the file "Bootanimation.zip" to Reed, write, execute.
-Copy the bootanimation.zip and paste it on sd card (THIS IS THE BACKUP just in case you don't like the Nexus animation..
___________________________
-Then go to /system/media and delete "bootanimation.zip"
-Then move the New "bootanimation.zip" file to system/media [the one from me]
___________________________
Now just restart your phone and ENJOY.....
I think if you can get the zip file and just swap it in, it may work. But of course backup first just in case
