It just vibrates led goes green for second and thats it ...
I can go in flash and download mode (blue / green led)
in this step If you want to relock bootloader, click Flash Mode and then check Relock BL , double click on third text box and select your .FTF file.
i used provided Xperia_Relock_bootloader.ftf so please tell me hot to get back my mini

Instead of using the relock bootloader.ftf have you tried doing the procedure using the stock firmware and ticking the relock bl option?
Well SEUS saved my phone , cause i was samsung user (haved mini pro as my last SE phone) i was totaly out of this complicated things on Sony . Did repair from SEUS and phone booted ...
Now what i want is to upgrade my phone to newer ics now on 431 .. Is it best to change SI number and then lock bootloader and upgrade officaly or just to flash via flashtool

There is no advantage in one option in respect to the other., If your bl is unlocked i would suggest keeping it that way in case you will want to make changes in the future, it just makes things easier...
After you flash the relock bootloader ftf you will have to flash the stock rom onto it, otherwise it has no "OS to run from" since the one you gave it is the unlock bootloader.

Can someone of you senior members describe me how to flash custom kernel via Flashtool 0.6.5.
I try to put kernel .ftf file in Flashtool/devices/x10/kernel but Flashtool can't see it. Just see another kernel, which is there by default (modfxp.doomkernel.v.0.6 for locked bootloader). Then I try to put in firmwares folder, and when I pressed flash (lightning) button small window appear with my kernel file, and some other file (bootlock or something like that). I pick my kernel and Flashtool start to flash something. After I was told to disconnect, press back, and connect again usb (flashmode), phone start to boot with new bootimage (DoomLord one), and then turn off, and battery showed like on charging. I already read this tutorial. This is How to flash firmare. I need to flash just kernel. I wrote above that I try this method, and my phone stuck with Doomkernel boot image. Do I have to uncheck box "Wipe User Data" and check "Exclude System" instead????

Sure, here's (mirror) a small tutorial on how to do this. Just skip the part with rooting Your phone (if You already have root) and continue with unlocking. Please don't forget about DOWNGRADING

It must be because of the kernel you are using. I had the same problem with that ROM, I tried several kernels and only bootloops.

Did you confirmed if your bootloader can be unlocked?
Type *#*#7378423#*#* to enter the service menu, then Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status, it should say "Bootloader unlock allowed Yes" if bootloader unlock is not allowed you cannot use fastboot method to unlock it.

To flash, just install FlashTool.
Then open flashTool and click on the flash icon, select flashmode. Then in the select folder section selet where you have the ftf file, click OK and follow the instructions on the screen.

General Xperia Ray FAQ
How do I root my phone with a locked bootloader?
It depends on which firmware version you run, but most of the Sony firmwares only requires you to run a software that will root the phone.
The only firmware for Xperia Ray that is unrootable now is the .64 firmware, the only to root a phone that runs that firmware is to downgrade to the .42 firmware using flashtool.
If you want to root the .42 firmware, just download "Flashtool" and enable usbdebugging. Then just press on the unlocked lock.

How do I unbrick my bricked phone with a locked bootloader?
If you want to unbrick your phone just open Pccompanion and go to Support Zone and press the update button.

Recently, my friend's Xperia Ray doesn't shows any splash screen (SONY) after downgrading ICS 4.0.3 to GB .42 with locked bootloader... then we returned back to ICS 4.0.3 again... but the problem still exists... so we unlocked the bootloader via SE official tech and flash back to GB... still doesn't work... we tried installing custom kernel but can't enter recovery...
Now, it's on GB .42 rooted but no splash screen, no boot animation and deep sleep...
Any solutions, ideas???
Can't try PCC due to overloaded server... SEUS has only outdated ICS but still not working...

yeah it will work 100%... because in process of flashing ROM, you're required to wipe cache and data... AGAIN!!!

first of all, you won't see SONY splashscreen whenever you downgrade from ICS 4.0.3 to GB .42...
and me thinks you did not flash the required kernel...

Apply to FAQ this method for unlocking bootloader- Ia done it to my RAY and it,s simplier and only way to unlock bootloader if your RAY is produced by 14 week of 2012 (under the battery is the week of production 12w14)and you can lock your bootloader simply way

Anyway... I have flashed I flashed kernel, baseband and rom and whole firmware (ftf)... the problem still existed exactly like this http://communities-origin.sonyericsson.com/message/211481...
Not good... I have tried custom kernel (the right kernel because it works), but still no splash screen and boot animation but IT SHOWED after accessing recovery...

Recently i've been trying to install a new ICS rom on to my phone for which i have to first install the kCernel-CM9-v03.ftf file through flashtool....
but the problem is that when ever i try flashing the kernel, the following error shows up on the log :
ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
to flash the kernel I first copy/pasted the ftf file in the firmwares folder in flashtool... and then went into recovery mode on my phone... but that doesn't seem to work anymore...

Hello, is your problem still there or solved? If not solved, try use older flashtool version to flash KCernel by placing inside its subfolder "firmware"..should work properly. You can get the flashtool link i recommended in newcomer thread.
Btw, not necessary flashing kernels means unlocked bootloader. Locked bootloader also can flash kernels exp Azuzu's. And if you curious to check bootloader status under my newcomer link too. Hope helps. Cheers.

To flash kernel You must go into flashmode (phone turn off, press 'back' key and then plug to the PC) but as i say, be sure that you have UB.

Yess I Told So I Unlock My boot loader but after My X10 breacked I lock my boot loader again and after that i cant unlock my bootloader cause icant boot up in 2.1 i just can boot up in 1.6.can i steel unlock my boot loader at 1.6?

Read and follow simple instruction's to get back to stock 2.3.3
If that still don't work then download and install - update_service_setup-2.11.4.11 (SEUS) Work's every time for me.
Then follow above instruction's for rooting etc.
Make sure you are using the latest version of flashtool's for - rooting - installing recovery - unlocking boot loader.

Search for stock 2.3.3 generic ftf file, flash with flashtool then root. And then unlock bootloader then flash required kernel with flashtool then flash your desired roms using recovery.

My problem Is this That every time i flash my device with Pc Compenion , Seus , Flash tools to 2.1 or 2.3.3 generic my device will restart On SE LOGO And wont boot but when i flash my device with 1.6.ftf my device will boot normaly without any problem.

1) your phone is not bricked, relax
2) you have only 2 ways for flashing: through CWM with a zip or with flashtool a ftf
3) "Search for stock 2.3.3 generic ftf file, flash with flashtool then root"
4) first unlock bootloader,read carefully instructions in flashtool software, it takes time and many reboots in if I remember. then flash a CUSTOM kernel with flashtool for your rom,
5) enter into cwm and wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and advanced/wipe dalvik, then install zip from sd card, it will install your custom rom.

DiD i mention that I HAVE 12 2.3.3 GENERIC FTF FILES That Every Time I flash one of them My X10 will Stock On SONY ERICSSON AND RESTART!!!!!??? ALSO I Have 5 2.1 GENERIC Rom THat Its Same Too!!my device wont boot . the only rom that my device boot is 1.6 . THIS Happend After I Flash A CUSTOM rom on my device after that I Install REAL RACING 2 But Data Was full of viruses! When i lunch the game the game was success fully lunched but the day after that when i lunch real racing 2 again,my device hanged and turned off.when i Turn it on, it was restart on semcdebreand kernel logo.i go to recovery.i format cache,system,data and everything else and install my custom rom again.but the problem was steel there and it was restart on kernel logo.so i attempt to RELOCK My boot loader using s1 tools.and install my orginal ftf rom again.But its just stuck on sony ericsson and restart! after flashing so many roms , finaly my phone boot with 1.6 , my phone only boot with 1,6 and wont boot into any 2.3.3 or 2.1.1 roms.HELPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Hi mate - The only other suggestion i have is to try Flashing this Rom with Flashtool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212260
I read in the thread it saved some one else from a similar problem.
Just follow the instruction's - Drag and Drop - FTF File in - Flashtool
It's very easy as long as you tick the box saying No Final Verification.

It wont coz his bootloader is locked. He probably can try flashing stock base rom that support LB. But it might didnt worked cause 1.6 might have older baseband version.

Can you give me a link of LB Supported roms??? im tired try to download many different Roms And All ARE THE Same to my phone.

Hi My friend...I Tried To unlock my bootloader but it dosent work!!!!my phone will Start After few second And Wont unlock!!!!!sony wont update my device to 1.6 I Have a flash files that contains the 1.6.ftf Only This File will work on my phone!
