the CM10 boot animation was just released. You can download a zip with several different size and orientation options. (that sounded way too sexual once i typed it).

Does anyone kow which size we would use for the touchpad? Would ANY of them work as they are, or does one need to be resized?
Thanks in advance
Cool. I know the TouchPads resolution is 768x1024. So if they have one for that, thats what I would use. I'm not sure what would happen if you used another size.
EDIT: I see they have a 768 file in there. So I would say thats the one.

I tried the 768 one in the Horizontal folder. It showed correctly as far as aspect ratio, except it showed in upside-down portrait mode. i.e. If you where holding the touchpad with the camera on the bottom and the home button on top, it looked right. I'm sure it would be easy enough to unpack, flip, and repack if someone wants portrait mode.
I used the 800 one in the Vertical folder and it also the right aspect ration, and the correct orientation for landscape. Looked correct in landscape with the camera on the left and home on the right.
I've attached the correct landscape one if anyone is motivated enough to make it an install zip.
I've attached the correct portrait one if anyone wants to flip it and install-zip it.
Nice. I'll try one out when I get home.
I had a boot animation zip of my computer so I gutted it and put the landscape boot animation inside. It flashed fine for me.

Can be very wonky at times. When the two points are directly beside or above/below each other on the x or y axis it seems to lose tracking of both points most of the time. Makes the pinch to zoom somewhat more difficult as you have to do it at an angle. Just wondering if everyone elses G tablet does this also.
Thanks!
Hmmm 52 views and no replies?
Nope, no issues here. Have you tried the touch recalibration app? Or reflashing? Do you only notice this in certain apps or is it everything?
Thanks for the response! Haven't tried reflashing but did do the calibration app a while and it helped somewhat. It does seem to be with every app. Think I will reflash and see if that alleviates it.
Thanks!
I don't believe the G-Tablet multitouch is as good as people say it is. My girlfriend had purchased Glow Hockey 2 on my tablet because she wanted to play air hockey against me, only to find that when two points on the screen are touched, the accuracy and responsiveness of the touches drop nearly 75%. It's a shame too, as that game looks to be a sure-fire hit with tablet devices.
I'm pretty sure that it is a hardware limitation, not a software limitation that can be fixed with re-flashing or calibration.

Yup, responsiveness is great. Multitouch leaves a bit to be desired.
I can confirm this problem on my tab, with all rom's except the TnT ones (never tried them). Using multitouchvisualizer app from the market you can see that the screen will not register 2 points immediately when they have the same x (horizontal line) or the same y (vertical line). The problem is definitely better after calibrating the screen (doesnt take as long to register the second point), but the problem persists and leaves something to be desired for this multitouch screen. When pinch to zoom is at an angle to vertical or horizontal, its perfect. If pinching on the horizontal or vertical axis, there is lag.
Normally this doesn't matter because you can just pinch-to-zoom on an angle, but when playing games like cordy or jetcarstunts, where buttons are aligned horizontally, the second tap sometimes isn't recognized immediately. Its somewhat nit-picky, but there are many other touch screens where this is not a problem.
Make sure that you have the proper permissions files available. If you are missing the "Multitouch Distinct" XML file then it doesn't work properly...
Early ROMs didn't have it, so you had to add it manually...I think newer ROMs have it though...
I've attached it here JIC -- just remove the ".txt" extension and drop it in

Second that request!
Put it in /system/etc/permissions/ as android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct.xml, and make it readable for all.
But, before you do, make sure that the file doesn't already exist. It does on CyanogenMod 7.0.3.

Yeah - went looking and found it. There are two files.
android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct.xml
and
android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml
And a review as text file seems to show the same contents.
This post (12/2010) is unclear on what to do.
Thanks!
My Touchwiz update went fine on my stock unrooted tab. However, the new pan and tilt functionality doesn't work even though I've turned on all the settings and calibrated my tab.
Am I missing something or has anyone else experienced this?
this feature looks kind of.... stupid
For photos in the Gallery and web pages you need to put two fingers on the tablet initiate it's ability to zoom. They show holding it by the bottom corners then touching the screen with your thumbs. It works as show on mine. It can also be turned OFF in settings. Make sure its not OFF if you want to try it.
Ultimately it is a gimmick. Can't see even holding the tablet that way in normal use.

Agreed. For me, pinch to zoom works much better.
I like the ability to move an icon/widget from screen to screen while holding it down and turning tab left/right.
Much better for moving icons.

Apparently I'm as stupid as the feature...didn't realize two fingers had to be on the screen. Doh.

Pwned. Lol it shows a demo of how to use it the first time you open the browser.
This is probably a stupid question but I can't find the answer in a few searches.
How can I remove the Landscape mode .zip and let my streak use auto rotate again?
I prefer landscape mode for everything except the dialer and Kindle/Google books. With the new Google books update it now uses landscape and is pretty much unusable in my preferred reading method of laying on my side in bed. I would like to try different screen rotation lockers etc. and see if I can find a solution but I realized I don't know how to remove the Landscape mode without completely starting over by flashing the whole rom.
Refresh the ROM

My portrait mode zip should revert it back for you. Both Simple Streak and my Streakin' are based on 354, so the file involved should be the same.
Thank for the suggestion. I tried flashing your portrait.zip a couple of times and nothing happens. Checking and unchecking auto-rotate display my streak still stays on landscape. Maybe the landscape.zip has stronger mojo than yours. XD
Which launcher are you using? Have you checked the settings for it? Is everything about your streak stuck in landscape? On your lockscreen, is the clock oriented for portrait or landscape? The landscape.zip simply copies an edited file to /system/framework. Mine simply copies back the original and I've used it successfully. Maybe there is something else going on.

You're right! Thank you so much. I had Zeam launcher set to not allow rotation also. Unchecking that box after flashing your .zip makes it rotate correctly. Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
I was wondering if there's any way to fix this problem. When I activate auto-rotation, the phone rotates inverted, I mean when I turn the phone 90 it turns 270 and viceversa (screen upside down)
Is there any way to fix this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1972998 It worked for me. Should fix urs too
Thanks, but that fixes the slow accelerometer problem, not the rotation one. :/

I didn't find that kind of bug in cm10.....the rotation is working completely fine,....

It's annoying because when I play a video or game, you use landscape mode, but the screen always turns upside down, I think something is inverted. I'm using JellyVanilla Rom. Is this problem part of the Rom? Or Kernel?

Guys I found where the bug is, it's on the "sensors.conf" file on system/etc
Just copy the attached "sensors.conf" file in zip, on system/etc and replace the old one.
Or just open it with a text editor and edit with the values in the attached version)
Cheers. :good:
This is if you are having trouble with rotation, I mean you rotate phone 90 degrees and it turns 270 degrees (upside down) and vice versa. This fixes that. Also games like temple run when you tilt device left or right, works as it should. (Before it was inverted).

It helped me! Thank you very much!
My Phone : Xperia Live With Walkman
ROM : JellyVanilla EX 5.1
I have an Allwinner A20 tv box, I trying to use it on a device with an old, low res, 4:3, 5" screen. It works but I have a few problems - firstly the box has "pal" and ntsc" settings for use with AV out, but when connected the picture is squashed inwards so circles are represented as ovals. I ve tried to mod the aspect ratio/resolution but nothing works, the picture is always distorted.
On top of that everything is too small for the screen, it is readable but things really need to appear bigger, so I also played about with the dpi, this does make things bigger and a better match for the screen, even though the device doesnt actually have a screen itself.
I ve done both these mods with several apps and modding the build prop and I always get "sorry systemGUI has stopped", constantly - when you close it, it opens again straight away. Clearly settings doesnt like these mods, so I m trying to work what I need to change so it DOES accept them.
Can anyone tell me how I can successfully mod the setting.db and get this working at the correct aspect ratio and a dpi that is suitable for use on a low res screen ?
Thanks
Anyone ?

Did you ever figure it out?
And if so how as I have a Vega S89 Elite (Clone) and it has the same text-is-too-small-on-a-sd-tv problem, thanks.
