Hi there I ran superwipe and and it wiped my external SDcard and now when I add the rom onto the external card it wont pick it up any ideas?
I get a message saying "no files found"
I've trued reformatting the SD card to FAT32 and dragged the ROM back onto the SD card and I still get the same message.
Can you see anything on Ext SD via My Files ??

I used the version that is packaged along with Android HD revolution and I know its not meant to but it did I have nothing on my ext SD any-more. I read that you should run superwipe inside of armoa but on my old DHD i use to run it in CWM and thats how I did it today I don't know if that will help.

Just checked the script right now..there is nothing in it which will mount your extsdcard..you can flash the script in CWM also but you need to have a ROM to install after it is done as it clears your /system partition also...
by the way..try taking out the sdcard..try unmounting and remounting your extsdcard...format it using the phone once..
check if it is recognized in another phone....

Yeah I know I'm not sure how it happened. I've tried reformatting the card once as a quick wipe and again as a full wipe I have also tried un-mounting and re-mounting the SD card in CWM. I will try the SD in another device and report back.

Superwipe is no longer in use (unless users use it themselves), it is now part of the ARHD Aroma installer and wipes certain parts of the internal sdcrad. No longer the whole internal sdcard.

Oh really
Most people in that thread recommends super wipe
From mike
Super Wipe
--- This script will erase and format your data (including Internal SD Card), system and cache partition ---
Download "Super Wipe" script & place it on your SD card (optionally if coming from earlier version of my ROM, obligatory if coming from stock or other custom ROM)
[*]Boot your phone in recovery mode (vol up + home + power)
[*]In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard"
[*]Select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of "Super Wipe" script

Since normal wipe in cwm wipes the data i can't understand the point of wiping the entirely sdcard?

It serves no purpose, in cwm you can wipe data and caches, format system and you're good to go, wiping sdcard does NOTHING for the running of the ROM.
If you d/l GTA 3 or asphalt and use superwipe then guess what, you need to download 1-2gb of data again! For what?!?!?
Its absolutely pointless, pointless I say.

The thing that gets me with superwipe is that it is essentially designed for people with no clue to assist a clean installation............BUT.....if you have no clue you shouldn't be flashing Roms.....simples!

I'm not saying it was anything to do with the ADHDR Team i always recommend hd revo roms as I spent almost all the time with my desire hd using it. I'm just confused why my external card got wiped when it is only meant to wipe internal and now my external card wont accept new files.

Hello guys.
I wanted to know a high standard way of wiping out my FULL data after installing omega rom. I dont think factory reset is so superior.
My phone should look like a brand new without any extra data but with omega rom.
So please tell me a way. It should be like installing a new windows after a complete format
Thanks.
why do u think factory reset is not "superior"?
Factory reset is good enough. If you still not satisfied then you can try to use super wipe which you can find it in ARHD development thread.

Ok thanks.
One last question.
It says that we have to flash super wipe script in Recovery mode from internal sdcard.
Ok fine.
But then it says that again select option "Install From Internal SDcard" and choose ROM.zip.
*I am installing OMEGA rom. Will its zip be flashable this way?
*I have no external SDcard. Will my ROM.zip (Omega.zip) get removed during wipe process? Then what will i do if this happens?

Hey all!
I recently had downloaded the ROM GO Airborn, put it on my SD from my laptop, then flashed it through recovery. The problem I had was that it doesnt show any music/photos that are on the SD card. I thought that I had accidently wiped the SD card, but when I go into storage in settings and Astro form the market, it shows that the card is mounted and I can browse it.
I thought it would of been the ROM, so I flashed Eternity ROM after a clean wipe. I am having the same problem. Settings-->Storage says that I have 30GB total and 9GB remaining, and ASTRO can browse the SD card, its all still there. I just cant seem to access it. Any help?
Are you using superwipe before flashing the roms and are you using clockworkmod recovery to flash it?

superwipe no, clockwork yes.
That's what I thought. Go to the eternity forums and go to the FAQ and get super wipe from there. You should also download 4ext recovery because cwm is causing way to many issues here lately.
Sent from my ADR6400 using Tapatalk 2
Will that fix the SD card issue?
I also read recently that cwm has been placing a .no media folder on the SD card and by deleting it some issues may be solved. Worth a shot I guess. My only other suggestion would be to backup the contents and reformat the SD card.
Sent from my ADR6400 using Tapatalk 2
@disconnecktie I love you, man. Haha. The .nomedia issue is exactly what it was. I performed a ".nomedia" search and deleted all of those files. What recovery would you suggest flashing? TWRP is what I am going to flash right now. Anything better available? Thank you!!!
4ext for the win bro. Its the first app I paid for and worth every penny. It is free too but it is so good I had to buy it.

I tried wiping data/cache/dalvik and reinstalling the Android Revolution ROM but the problem is still there. After reinstalling the ROM twice the wifi won't turn on and just says ERROR. I tried going back into 4ext and now it started to give me an error "can't mount /internal_sdcard" when trying to choose zip from sdcard.
Anyone has any idea what's going on?
Thanks

Ok dude I think I know what's going on, then outlook doesn't look too bright either. It looks like your internal sd became corrupted and now it can't mount. So back up your internal sd, reformat, and put your stuff back in and see if it helps.
If that doesn't help I guess you just had a bad luck Brian moment. This internal sd problem happened to me twice already.
For the wifi error, that's probably because you dirty flashed ARHD over a perfectly fond ARHD. You should have just airplane mod'd it for a while or rebooted. When you wipe the cache don't dirty flash the entire rom for one simple problem. When you reboot after you wipe the cache, it just takes a minute to rebuild the 'blocks. '

Well when I connect the phone via usb, it shows up on my computer but none of the files I had show up in the drive, including the zip for the ROM. I most likely lost all my stuff but that's okay. How do I reformat my internal sd at this point?
I tried to do a clean install of ARHD by doing a complete format inside 4ext, maybe something went wrong along the way. So If I can get my internal sd to work, can I format data/cache/dalvik and reinstall the rom? will that fix the problem?
Thanks for your help

Ok the way to format the internal sd is in 4ext. I remember it being somewhere in the wipe section. Choose format sd then internal sd.
Here's a tip when flashing, use format all partitions except sd. This is better than wiping cache then dalvik then data. This method clears of everything but it doesn't touch your sd. This is how to comoletely clean install roms without errors in flashing.
And if after you flash it and see no bars, T-mobile is probably having a bad connection or doing renovations to their towers or something.

Hello,
Everytime I want to use my camera it tells me my phone doesn't have an SD card inserted (which I do, and it's fully functional)
This problem originally occurred after flashing UltimaROM when my internal was swapped with my external.
The ROM used to be great but it was ridiculously buggy and was almost at an unusable state for me.
I've flashed LiquidSmooth now and everything is great, apart from this issue.
I've looked on Google and people with similar issues are saying it's corrupt but it still functions fine.
Also, when uninstalling apps I get this message (it still uninstalls though)
I have attached a picture using Tapatalk so not sure on how the picture will be displayed.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

As for SD, I would recommend formatting the card (backup first) and do a full wipe (megawipe?) to clear down completely before reflashing your rom.
I don't have the framework installer setting in my "Interface" tab. Also, even with the external sd card dismounted the camera doesn't work. Or could this be an internal memory problem?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It sounds like a permissions issue and a full wipe and format before reflash I suspect will fix it.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
I have tried that, it didn't work
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Full wipe didn't work? Try another rom. If not, look for the camera update thread if not, return 100% stock if not, send for repair
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
I don't know why but I think the emulated folder is the problem, I think this was created when my internal and external was swapped around as I don't remember it being there before.
I've tried another camera app and it takes pictures but doesn't save them
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Emulated comes from when you go to 4.2.2
Megawipe should have deleted everything on your internal sd.....
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
Oops, I guess I haven't megawiped then. Got the correct zip now off these forums that does it for me. Can I go ahead and do the Megawipe despite being rooted on a custom ROM?
Thanks

Yes you can. It just wipes per the thread. One of them formats your internal sd and thats what you want. Backup to pc first though.

Its also worth doing the one that formats system too. So have a rom and titanium backup on external sd card. You're going to have to reflash if you do this one
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
Stupid question, was just making sure. Guess it's the same as wiping everything before flashing a new ROM

I used the MegaWipe
So I have searched and searched and cannot get a definitive answer. I am currently using CWM as my recovery. I go to flash a new ROM and wipe like I used to. ONLY thing is that wiping doesn't actually wipe. What I mean is things in the down load folder or random folders not on my sd card are still there. This would all get wiped before but ive had this problem since getting the S4. Ive had some root problems before so I had to unroot and reroot so everything was wiped. Now I have been running smoothly without needed to odin back to stock.
What am I doing wrong or what could be the problem. I want to wipe the whole device except external sd card. In CWM I usually select the factory reset wipe, partition, and dalvik. Should I be doing something different?
TIA

Probably need to hit the data partition as well. Never had a problem with cwm myself.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
Your download folder shouldn't get wiped on a factory data reset.
What partition are you choosing? Sorry i didn't use cwm, and i lost custom recovery with a warranty replacement, but sounds like you are maybe not choosing your internal.
Also why do you need the sd card wiped? As long as your app data isn't carrying over you should be fine switching roms.
Also twrp worked for this so really you could just switch.

I had some very bad experiences with TWRP on this device. Never on any other device. I prefer TWRP. I should try the taking out the sd card and wiping everything. Thanks I just odin'd back to stock and rooted. I was getting memory notifocations and random stuff. I am going to try TWRP I know its been updated since I had the problems.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Memory notifications are common in this device, many times inaccurate on touchwiz. They're more about the allocated space for apps and not internal total. Next time check your storage tab in settings, of you're not out of free space on the sd card but still get warnings then wiping that partition won't help.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I was getting low. It had been a while since rooting so I had loads of unwanted folders (temp stuff) and stuff from other roms. I was down to 1.3GB.The notifications are fine except certain apps or games were starting to not work properly. I literally had to scroll through about 4 pages of folders in my sdcard0 folder. Now that ive rerooted I have about a page and a half. I now have 8.78GB free space.
Edit: after rerooting I wasnt able to get TWRP. In Goomanager I kept getting "no recoveries were found for your device". So I am still on CWM.
