Phone key sounds during calls - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Is there an option to cancel the keys sound (while pressing) during calls?
For example when i put the phone on speaker or even in normal use, when i press the keys in order to write a number or send text, the other side in my conversation hears the sound too. Therefore can barely hear me.
They still get sound even on vibrate/silent mode.
Anyone have this problem too?
please help!

You can disable 'keytones' in settings> sound.

I only want it disabled during call, not on normal use...
will it work?

ANNOYING! Phone vibrates during call!!!

Hey guys and girls (whoever is reading),
I am currently using the CM 6.1.3 ROM on my phone.
I've begin to notice that every time someone messages me on Whatsapp or through SMS while I'm on the phone with someone, my phone vibrates and it annoys me and the person with whom I am on the phone with... Is there a way I can fix this so that it doesn't vibrate while I am on the phone with someone without complete turning off the Vibration function.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I don't know if a solution has been posted. If there is a solution, can someone kindly point me to it?
Thank you,
Shukla
goto settings=>Call settings.
Then Set according to your wish. There are many options.
I have the same issue. I've just flashed it for the first time today so haven't really checked out the options yet.
You can disable it in call settings. Simples!!

Under Advanced Settings V.30.1, the first four options control the vibration during calls... by default, it vibrates on receive and on end... just uncheck those options.
Lol I dont think you know what i meant. I don't mind it viberating when i recieve a call or when it ends.. its during the call.. if someone sends me a email, a whatsapp msg or a SMS msg, the phone viberates during the call.

To turn it off when dialing you have to turn off haptic feedback in settings>sounds. To turn it off when call is answered and hung up go to settings>call>call alert and uncheck answer vibration.

Answer Calls by Lift to Ear?

Hi, just a simple question, is it possible to answer calls by automatically lifting the phone towards your ear? (Similar to that of calling someone by placing the phone near your ear in the messaging app)
Sorry if this has already been asked. I am unable to find a similar thread as suggested by the forum
Thanks in advance!
No, you cant. not really a good solution either, Answering your calls in your pocket when walking etc...
Would be a nice feature.

You could try to use Tasker. I've seen people mimic smart call with it so might be able to use similar thing but for answering an incoming call?

Ah, great. Thank you. Not easy to find actually.
Proximity Talk does exactly that. put the phone to your ear and it answers the call. It can also turn on speaker automatically when you move it away from your year, take out speaker automatically when you put the phone back to your year, and also hang up calls just by putting the phone face down... try it by downloading it in the play store
thanks for the responses, I'll make sure to try them out later. Cheers!

[Q] Problem with the notifications during call!

Was on a call, an email came to my exchange account and it started playing from my earpiece. Couldn't hear a word of the other party. Cut the call and restarted the phone. Was on a call with him again and then an another mail. BAM was waiting for the song to end.
I tried opening the email. Reducing the volume to minimum. Turning the speaker on. Mute the call. shake the phone arghhhh
I work on night shifts and the song "RIGHT NOWWWWW" by Korn plays when an email comes The second time I let it play and was just mute. damnit.
Is this how the phone normally behave? Just bought it a few days back. This doesn't happen when I am on a Viber call. only on GSM calls...
Am running stock samsung ofw 4.0.3 with SiyahKernel S2-v5.0i.
can anyone happen to help me please? i am still facing the issue. i am unable to stop the notification sound until it actually ends on its own. the call i am on when the notification actually comes turns out to be a waste i just am unable to stop the notofication sound...

for anyone facing the problem of notifications during calls, you can do the below to turn them off during calls.
system settings -> call -> call alert -> alert on call (you need to uncheck this.)
done
