Hello there, Xperia P owners!
Has anyone been able to make CIFS Manager work on ICS (build 6.1.B.0.544)? I have searched the nets, and CIFS modules for this device and build are still nowhere to be found so I've been wondering, has anyone else been luckier?

Oh right... I guess I don't understand enough about custom ROMs. I thought a plain ol' cifs module compiled for the 3.0.8+ kernel would do. On with the waiting then!

Well, kernel modules for CIFS support on stock ICS still don't seem to be available anywhere for Xperia P. Am I missing something?
There is only one kernel with CIFS enabled, ThP's kernel. But it still seems to need the modules, or CIFS manager needs setup changes.
Does anyone have a clue on how to access windows network shares on Xperia P?

hy folk,
is it possible to compile CM9 (or similar) for people with rooted ICS-Leak?
if no, why?
else, is there anyone working on this?
i would like to support....
lordvampire
Yes, it's possible. But it's better to wait for the official ICS because they will have to compile it again for it. But there is the first Black Widow ICS release working on ICS leak, only for cdma. But Black Widow is much better than CM9...
there is a script to get cdma roms working on gsm.. so is it possible???

This gsm patch is only working on GB Kernel based Roms. I wouldn't try it on ICS leaks...

If yes, where to download the latest cyananogen mod 7? please. thanks.
I don't know about the X kernel, but CyanogenMod 7 yes.
Follow this tutorial:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Live_with_Walkman:_Full_Update_Guide
and it will work for you.
I did the same yesterday and I have no problems.
X kernel isn't compatible with cm7. You can flash the provided kernel that comes with cm7 or you can flash greenalges modded rage kernel for cm7.

Where do I get the kernel that comes with cm7? Thanks.
It is packed in the ZIP with the ROM.

Does anyone know the device name for the Sony Xperia Z Ultra? I am trying to figure out the defconfig name in the source that Sony has on their developer site. I don't have the phone yet, but I may get the C6806 and just trying to see the possibilities.
Thanks for your help!
Togari. you should read the Readme_Xperia.txt

Looks like they don't have the defconfig under that name, but I just realized they had the file as .config in the kernel source directory.
What the topic says.
I need a rom/kernel with cifs modules and can't find any for LP...
Right now I'm on a scrubbers 5.1 GPE port and that's absolutely only thing I'm missing.

You wont get any help here. Either you ask a chef nicely in PM who's the owner of a rom you like if he/her can implement the modules in the next build.
Or you can compile your own kernel to suit your needs.
Well I won't make it like ever, already red something about it.
I just can't understand why is so hard for the devs including it in their roms! O_O

On stock rom, Settings - Storage - Remote Share works just like cifs.
Can't change the mount path though..
/storage/remote/

zombie kernel has cifs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/orig-development/kernel-zombie-t3066748
but not as module
you can also compile the kernel by yourself and having cifs by adding "CONFIG_CIFS=y" to defconfig
