GPS/Radio Update to [OTA]672.180.41.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi
I have update the radio for [OTA]672.180.41.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU, because that have problems with GPS, status, (tracking satelites)
Took the radio file from [OTA] 672.180.41.XT910.Retail.en.EU and use the "Whirleyes" Bootmenu Manager downloaded from Google play.
Instructions Metode 1:
1. Root the your Razr
2. Download "Bootmeny Manager" from Google Play. ( Update it)
3. Unpack the zip OTA] 672.180.41.XT910.Retail.en.EU to a new folder
4. Copy the radio img. ( bp.img : 25 126 kb) you find in the new folder to external SDcard.
5. Reboot the phone with Bootmeny, use "Custom Recovery"
6. Choose flash radio img. and find the image location at your sdcard.
7. Flash it.
Instructions Metode 2:
Here are we using "fastboot flash" metode You don't need to root your phone.
First:
Download flash tools with radio.img :
https://hotfile.com/dl/169162468/ec1c0cb/Radio_flash.rar.html
1. Enable "USB degugging" i phone, go to menu "system settings" and look in "developer options"
2. Connect your phonewith the with USB - cabel
3. Open the downloaded radio.img with flash tools, unrar it, then hit start "Start here"
4. Write "adb reboot bootloader, then hit enter (phone goes in fastboot mode")
5. Write "fastboot flash radio radio.img" then hit enter
Radio.img is now flashed and just reboot your phone.
NB: Maybe you need Factory reset to get it work well.
Done:laugh:
NB: I see the differense between those radio image "bp_U_04.10.00R" is 2 Kb: NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU radio img is : 25 124 Kb and Retail.EU is 25 126 Kb
Thats why the GPS is fully working with replasment of images
Now your GPSwith status should work great, Also Wifi, 2G and 3G work good for me
Many thanks to "Whirleyes" for his Bootmenu Manager. :good:

Could you upload the radio please?

Here is the link to Radio img. for 672.180.41.XT910.Retail.en.EU ( bp_U_04.10.00R) to use in the OTA -.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU:
https://hotfile.com/dl/169043207/7054caf/bp_U_04.10.00R.rar.html
GPS with status work great, 2G, 3G and Wifi works good after nearly 3 days of use now:good:
Batteri: I have 70% left after 1 day and 8hr use. since last charge,
I'm happy with this so far.

this is the same version as used in .33, I guess..

I don't know if it is the same version as in 33.
But the file in radio img. is 2Kb bigger in 672.180.41.XT910.Retail.en.EU or the 41.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail radio img. They have the same version number (bp_U_04.10.00R).
Therefore I use Retail EU radio version and the different helps me in Norway

Hey OP! You should update your guide to flash radio.img from the .41 fmz leaked.
Would be a lot easier to
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.img
Cheers

If you have access to a PC - yes, I agree. The other method only requires the phone, but you have to be rooted. So, there are pros and cons of each method.
BTW, I ran into trouble when flashing radios via BootMenu Manager (assert failed... errors after flashing an Asian radio), but I managed to recover by fastbooting radio.img from the .41 SBF.

It really can update radio asia?

See: Instructions Metode 2:

I presume this method also works for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850683?
The radio on official retail british is awful, no gps lock and bad wifi

I get GPS fix in few seconds, also WiFi works as usual (i.e. great) using the radio from .41 SBF.

sorry guys ı did it

I had error when starting the phone up again from using the fastboot method, so I just cleared the cache partition (FYI).

Will this improve things for a stock GB XT910 US?

Is this thread out of date?

No, why ask? There's been no update to .41.

No one's responded to my question.
I just bought an XT910 that's locked to Rogers Canada. I want to install the latest radio, unlock, recovery, and MIUI, but information is scattered all over the place and I can't find straight answers. Want to use it on TMobile, Washington state.
No idea if this radio is right for this phone. No idea what the best recovery is, as there are so many and some are old. I can't even determine whether the xt912 is cdma, or the gsm model with heavier battery, because there's conflicting info. Whether there's an xt910 that's cdma.
No one's responded to my radio question here either:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32719347#post32719347

XT910 is the non-CDMA version. However, there is a regional lock in the bootloader, so this firmware won't work for you. Please find a thread with American/Canadian firmwares, they will update radio firmware as well. For a custom recovery go to BootMenu Manager or SafeStrap threads.

[HOW TO] back to stock rom with Eternity project Script

Hi everybody,
first of all, i dont create anything i just see every day new user unable to flash fastbootfile because they dont know how to.
This will work on GSM EU devices, dont know for the other.
All the credit are for The Eternity Project Team.
I flash a bad OTA/ROM/ Want to went back/ bootloop etc... And i don't know how to do that
Ok ok, don't worry, take a deep breath and follow this tutorial.
STEP 1
-You need to download the AlternateFlashScript(from eternity project) attached below.
-You also need the right fastboot file: you can find it here
For GSM EU user i recommand you this one
STEP 2
-You need to extract the fastboot file and the script in the same directory (VERY IMPORTANT)
STEP 3
-boot your RAZR into fastboot mode
a) Hold down Power and vol- button for 10sec
b) Hold down power and vol-/vol+ button
c) When you have a black screen with white inscription on it, navigate with vol- to "AP fastboot" and select with vol+
STEP 4
-run the script, for windows just double click
-For linux you have few more steps
a) open terminal
b) enter those line
Code:
cd /yourdirectory/fastbootfile/
sudo chmod a+x FlashItLinux.sh
./FlashItLinux.sh
-Just wait. it take easily to 10mn or more, once the script is over your phone reboot
STEP 5
Your phone should reboot into recovery (black screen with a bugdroid)
-press vol-/vol+ button
-navigate to "Reboot" with volume button and select with power button
Now you're phone should reboot(let it 10mn to first boot) and you're now back to 73.30 with android 2.3.5

You also need the right fastboot file: you can find it here
I came from 65.1.21.XT910.AsiaRetail.en.03 try to back to 65.1.12.XT910.PSHAsiaRetail.en.03 via RSDlite5.6 flashing SPDREM_U_01.6.5.1-73_SPU-11-PASS-10_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Servi ce1FF_fastboot.xml.zip.
RSDlite finish with "PASS" then it reboot my razr with motorola logo, but then it says "Boot Failure"
You also need the right fastboot file: you can find it here
On that link there are OTA file. How to use OTA file? Same thing like Fastboot file? Via RSDlite? Or via AlternativeFlashScript?
Now I'm stuck on Fastboot screen.. Please help me.. Thanks..
The right fastboot file are in the zip.
If rsd failed, you can try to use the script.in the zip.
Be sure to flash the right fastboot for.your devices.
For the ota you have to use it through the motorola recovery. But you need to be on stock rom

I just flash the fastboot file SPDREM_U_01.6.5.1-73_SPU-11-PASS-10_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml. My purpose is just to get root, coz I cant root from 65.1.21.XT910.AsiaRetail.en.03
How to use this "motorola recovery"? By pressing POWER+VOL_UP+VOL_DOWN then choose RECOVERY?
I only need to root and back to stock (AsiaRetail) still root, any suggest for me?

wow...
if you're about to use that fastboot, dont use rsd lite
but use one of these script
AlternateFlashScript-LINUX.zip - [Click for QR Code] (14.1 KB, 2 views)
AlternateFlashScript-WINDOWS.zip - [Click for QR Code] (114.0 KB, 25 views)
whether you're using windows or linux
you download those two zip files
- fastboot files (about 812.25)
- script for flash
you put those two onto one folder, select both, then choose extract here
then hit "Windows_Fla****.bat" file
(i'm using windows)
and wait...
yes wait and dont plugged off your razr
especially when the prompt showed at "Flashing webtop"
my laptop was a little bit freezing at that section
and thats ok anyway
then go to step 5

EU or US versions are always better than Asia versions according to my experience since XT720, Atrix to Razr. I always flash EU or US versions as soon as sbs or fastboot files are available. Never return back to Asia versions.
Hey Elias, your version 651.73.23 is already outdate. The most stable & best version is 651.167.20 android 2.3.6. Try that one from development session.

No, you should flash below fastboot file first.can use RSD.
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip
After you flashed, root with DooMLord. Use voodoo rootkeeper to backup root, then temporary unroot with voodoo again.
Download this ota,
http://dlhg.eternityproject.eu/mtsp...Blur_Version.651.73.30.XT910.Retail.en.EU.zip
Copy to your external SD card. Then flash through Moto recovery and reboot.
After reboot restore root via voodoo rootkeeper.
Take note you can only root on 2.3.5 ... 651.73.30. Cannot root on 2.3.6.. 651.167.20
Also take note after update to 2.3.6 and want to go back to 2.3.5, you can no longer use Red. Only can use alternate flashing method by Kholk.

No you can't, because this update is leaked, it's not official release by motorola or your carrier. You really need to flash it via recovery
I have read a lot of people saying they have success with rogers (canadian) version of razr working with the en.br version. Can anyone confirm with this?

Oke, already on 2.3.6 now. How to get notification if there is an official update? Flashing back to the fastboot file?
Is this an official fastboot file & the lastest version from motorola? :

If it official & the lastest, I want back there so I can get update notification from system updates, not by flashing or recovery.
Oh, one more thing, is this "AlternateFlashScript" is the same thing with "EPRJ_FlashITRZR_Windows" from kholk? Just confuse which one to use..

anyone able to post up the system_signed.zip from the SPDREM_U_01.6.5.1-167_SPU-15-M2-3_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip as well? dont really feel like downloading a whole 864mb file if I can get just the system_signed.zip from someone thanks
The system_signed has an size from 774mb, the Fastboot got 864mb. So only Downloading the System wouldn't be much faster
hahaha okay no worries! thanks for that. Got about 10 mins left on the entire file so all good.
EDIT: okay so I did everything and currently flashing the new OTA via stock moto recovery and it's been stuck on "Patching system files" for a while now.. about 5 minutes. How long does this part usually take? Or has my flash frozen?
EDIT2: okay so after approx 8 mins the patching system part finished and it's breezing through now.. just starting up the phone now. thanks to the OP and everyone else for this. What you need:
Eternity Fastboot
Boot new.img
System_Signed from 651.167.26.Retail.en.EU (Link from OP)
Update.zip (Link from OP)
You will lost your Root after that Update!
What to do:
Copy the unpacked Files from the Eternity Fastboot (3 Files), the Boot_New.img & the System_signed on your Desktop
Be sure you got the Update.zip on your external SD
Connect your RazR in AP Fastboot to your PC
Hit the Start-Button in Windows and search for 'cmd'
Start the Terminal
Write following Commands (ENTER after every Line)
cd desktop
eprj-mfastboot flash boot boot_new.img
eprj-mfastboot flash system system_signed
After all Files flashed correctly, reboot your Phone into Stock Recovery
Wipe Cache
install the Update
Reboot Phone
There is an way to keep Root on the new Leak, but it's a lil'bit trickey and you must start it on T-Mobile Rom, before you follow the steps to flash the Update!!!! So, if you want Root you have to wait.
I won't post it, because if something goes wrong you won't be happy. Maybe the Guy who created this should post it here

Are you following the steps correctly ?
Remember to always backup ur cid in first place.
And...there is no mistery. Just follow the steps
Remember to flash the correct fastboot for your region. You can't flash a fastboot ICS from another region.
If your phone have been bought in US, you need the US ICS Fastboot rom.
Re:
I think the problem is that you are using a firmware from Mexico (AmericaMovil is the name on firmwares for Telcel, the major mexican carrier)

How to fix fully bricked/fastboot failure/CID error on Motorola Razr (XT190S)

Hi to all Razr users here! I know some of you have seen me that posts alot of questions and asking for a help on different forums and threads here in Motorola Razr world and now it's my time to give a contribution on how to fix a Moto Razr from being fully bricked with an error of 'CID error' or '0X0056' error. (YAY! JUST FIXED MINE A WHILE AGO!)
Scenario:
-My device is in stock 2.3.5 Gingerbread firmware.
-I've tried to flash a JB 4.1.2 firmware on my device via RSD lite v6.x
-My device got stuck and won't boot and got the '0X0056' error causing to not get past the Motorola logo.
Instructions on how to fix:
-In my own experience, you don't need to have a backup of your CID because it is not needed on the flashing stages.
-Make sure your device is still alive and has still juice to power the battery on.
-Download a firmware of your choice http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=10 (I've downloaded the fifth one *Fido Canada*)
-Extract the .xml file inside the firmware, open with notepad++ and delete the line where 'CDT.bin' exists then put it back to the firmware .zip
-Extract also the 'allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin' file.
-Make a .bat file using notepad and write this fastboot commands:
Code:
echo off
pause
fastboot erase cid.img
fastboot flash mbm allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot-bootloader
pause
echo on
(Make sure you have the latest fastboot files from Android SDK tools and have 'allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin' file within it, these stuff must be in the same folder)
-Connect your device and boot in AP fastboot then ran the command.
Note: I've ran this without any 'ERROR' code which prevents the files from wrtiting.
-Just stay connected with the device.
-Use the RSD lite and use the firmware you downloaded.
-Now click start.
-When you saw the device being shown with 'CID error' DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE, JUST LET IT GO ERRORING ITSELF.
-Wait for at least 30 seconds, after that the device will shutdown then it will boot again and you will see an Android is somewhat upgrading stuff. (YAY! this is the progress I've ****ted all the way off!)
-Press power button, volume down and up simultaneously and boot with BP tools.
-Wait and you'll see your device is reviving and booting again!
Note: To prevent the annoying 'CID error', someone said we must install BMM or SS recovery in order to get past and avoid that error whenever we reboot our device.
That's all! Happy fixing! Hope it helped you!

Remove that bootlogo & boot your device without BP tools you can do this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406867 .It removes CID err on bootlogo & you can boot normally. But if your bootlogo will be changed error will appear again. So you'll need to flash fix everytime your bootlogo changes...

A little addition to this guide based on personal experience:
I did this in several firmwares trying to unbrick my device but after CDT.bin deletion, RSD Lite won't start the flashing process followed by the message sayng that "some files are missing from original package" and "please add/replace them" or "try another package" etc etc
In that case, the ONLY thing that can help you unbrick your device is CID deletion via fastboot, letting you flash any firmware you want (the question is, however, which of them will actually boot after completing the flashing process without errors.
I tried several firmwares, actually all GSM versions and the only one that booted was Taiwanese stock retail ICS. After that, I upgraded stock FW to JB 4.1.2, again trying several FWs and this time the only one that booted was stock retail JB 4.1.2 for United Kingdom (?!). But, this doesn't matter much as long as you can unbrick your device, boot the stock, root it and install custom recovery and after that the choice is yours. My device was bricked the worst possible way (erased boot, system, data, recovery partitions and tables, all gone except fastboot, with a dying and unchargeable battery. So, I made the "factory cable" myself and started from scratch. After a fair amount of trouble, I did it, what you can see from my signature.
Anyway, deleting CID is no big thing, and trust me, you won't be missing it at all. If that's the price for making your device work again just go ahead, I think it's worth it.
Make backup of CID...
Does anyone tried that method, to make backup your CID?
If your XT910S/K soft bricked why not to try by flashing XT910 2.3.6 system.img? It should boot to Retail XT910 2.3.6 with XT910S/K kernel.
If you get boot you can try rooting it & backup CID with Terminal Emulator. When erase it...
Still... with ics(jb) you'll need be with erased CID, but having backup never hurts... I just wanna to help people save unique CID.

Will add a note on that, whatever happens a backup of CID is really needed if ever something happens badly And yup, I made a backup
I just wanted to be on stock ICS Im fine with that. THANKS! Sorry for the broken grammar.

I agree that you should have CID backup, but I really had no choice but to delete it, there was no other way to unbrick it. And if you were on ICS, you cannot downgrade to Gingerbread, you can only flash ICS or JB.
Sent from my XT910 using Tapatalk
If you on ICS you should also boot with Retail XT910 ICS system.img because your kernel will be still ICS XT910s..

As for me, I don't think that CID would be worth saving, since this device was bought in South Korea, then shipped to Australia and from there shipped to me here in Serbia So, since I couldn't rely much on customer support or service, I decided to delete CID in order to unbrick the Razr. Of course, if there's a chance to save your CID you should certainly do it but for me, CID doesn't mean much in these circumstances.

we still need to install BMM/SS to pas that customer id screen..otherwise it will give black screen after that CID screen
I took the phone to ap fastboot
flash the .bat file you told about (echo off etc)
flashed firmware with rsdlite
it gave cid error. then android logo with loading (i think thats what you said android is updating)
then I ran with bp tools and it reached OS
if I restart it give black screen after CID unless boot with bp tools

Yep unfortunately that's the problem right now. It can only boot with 'bp tools' option. The only thing you can normally boot it is to install a BMM or SS recovery so that it can bypass through booting the CID error without encountering the black screen. As of now, I don't have the required stuff to fix it and don't have the knowledge to find what's behind that problem. The device (Motorola Razr) is not mine, I just fixed it for my friend. I think we can only live with the recovery installed because without it, it's impossible to boot the device normally without CID.
Take note, booting with BP tools is like booting in safe mode, it does not save any progress you made after you customize some stuff on the main screen itself.
I clear your doubt.. It does save i tried with several power offs and restarts

It's a zip file, why rename it? Put it in your fastboot directory on your PC to flash it.
Just do as it says in the OP and you should not have any problems.
.img files are to be flashed from the sd card in fastboot(on devices which have an sd slot like this one), but this is a zip with a .img file inside, it's not a .img file.
Just do as it says in the OP and it should work fine.

Yeah I'm having pc problems at the moment, my phone is my only computing device. That and my actual sd card crashed a while back, so I've been using the folder labeled sdcard. You don't put anything here on your phone! Place this stuff on your computer and open a terminal/cmd prompt. Make sure the files are in the same folder where you open the cmd/terminal & copy/paste the name after your command so you can't misspell anything.

I honestly think the new radios are giving me less reception. I had a user grab the original radios but I just have not had time to test them out so they can be posted here. I'll try to get this done by the weekend for everyone.
It could be all in my head or maintenance on sprints towers , but I was thinking the same thing.. I don't get reception where I once did.

I'm having the same issues. I actually have the older radios which I need to test. If they are working then I will post them up for users to fall back on.
EDIT: I have added flashable radios in post #2 of the OP. These are packaged to be flashed from within recovery so no need for fastboot flashing! I have tested the older baseband myself and seem to be getting better service with it. This will vary depending on your location! Please thank mnsportsguy1978 for pulling the radio for All of US to enjoy!
3.02.651.5 Update
OP has been updates in posts 1 & 2 with the very latest Sense 6 OTA Firmware. Radio is flashable in post #2.
EDIT: To those with questions, I have flashed the latest firmware & my radio seems to be working very well. It is a little spotty but that is most likely because sprint has been working on adding better coverage to my area. I usually ran the original radios for best call quality on my end but I'll be doing more testing on this new one. So far so good.

It's in the zip package. Everything should be in the complete firmware zip. I made two zips, one has the kernel & the other does not have it. Recovery can be deleted from the package before flashing it. In fact I probably should make the zips without the recovery also for those that are running twrp or cwm recovery.
