Battery issue on stock gb 6.0.a.3.76tw - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I knw its an old firmware bt m really loving the overall experience with this one.. Though, did nobody had battery issue with 6.0.A.3.76Tw? For sure I had more juice with 0.73 and I really love da touch sensitivity of 76? Don't want downgrade.. Any suggestions? Attached is a screen shot which will give u idea abt da only apps which run on battery usage..i hv my brightness set to less than 20% but yet it's eating up a lot..neva had to charge more thn once (full) on average day usage yet today, I had to charge it for 3 times, always on full.. Any suggestions?

[Q] Total Battery Life For You with GPS Active 100% of the Time???

I'd like to know from the folks at XDA how much battery life (in hours) they get once they recharge the battery and turn on GPS (i.e. 100% active with a software--no screen off) until the phone shuts down from no energy.
I'd like to know what ROMS, kernels, etc you're using and how much battery life with 100% GPS with no down time.
For me, I'm getting about ~3 hours with TW 1.3.2 and Bali using Copilot GPS software. Screen at half bright. Battery is reconditioned.........Is this any good?.....

I've been having real bad battery problems. People claim 12-14 hours with heavy use and full charge. I get only about 8 hours with medium use ( few calls some texts and some web browsing and pandora) My battery's date is 08.02.2010 and its 1500 mAH . Would you recommend i get a new one and see if that works? I'm running cm7 latest nightly and glitch v11 since i thought glitch would help wit battery life but no dice. Even before i got any roms though my battery life was always about 8 hours with medium use. And thats with no gps no wifi or syncing. Thanks for ur help.

3 hours with GPS enabled constantly? And your screen on the entire time? Yes, that's very good.
I remember I used to have a Garmin that would last ~24minutes after I took it off of the charger.
Constant-running GPS is a massive battery drain. Having your screen running for 3 hours straight is an even bigger battery drain.
Get a car charger.

what worked really well for me is bali 1.1.1 here are my UV settings ive been running my phone all day at 6pm i had 50% and after a good amount of use i have 47% left im not overclocking at all
1000- -25
800- 50
400 -50
200 -50
100-75
when i try going around 100 and up it gets unstable so try these out and tweak em a bit im sure u will have better battery life
Do you use bali 1.1.1 with cm7 nightly too? just making sure it'll b compatible with my setup to . btw funny ur from newark. im from elizabeth =P

This is my first smartphone, and I'm suprised by stories of people that can't make a full day on a single charge I usually have >50% left with normal usage, and with heavy usage enough for a day.
If you are like me that are playing around with root and cusrom rom
If I start playing with it at 14.00 hours my battery goes dead in about 4-5 hours :-(
But for everyday use my sensation hold for Max one day ;-)
I am getting use to it. And it is one of the biggest dravdown of smartphones anno 2010 - 2012
Hope we are getting some new battery technology in the near future ;-)

Then check what is eating the battery, because that's not normal.
Settings->About phone->battery use
If you can't find what app is causing drain, do a clean fresh install and see how it goes on stock.
If stock goes ok, then your phone(from hardware side) is ok.

My on stock work fine...if charge it over night, after all day of clicking, and working om;em, in the evening is abouy 30-40...so it can works almoust 2 days if you power off at night
The battery drain issue cause by kernel version. FW .283 has the best kernel battery back-up, mix it with .62 ROM and baseband, = EPIC STOCK ROM.

gaming massive battery drain!!

i have the elegant white rom,its awesome low ram consumption speed etc.
BUT first to change stock rom(original from manifacturer)i could play 2 hours and 1/2 sometimes 3 without trouble with battery at 30/35% left now i play 5 mins and my battery goes from 93% to 87% in 5 min
so 6%x12=72%battery lost in 1 hours its bad really bad! i also installed the battery fix but notthing!in idle without playing i lost 2/3% per hours so this is good.
someone have my same trouble? it is normal?if so i should install back stock rom?
if i get stock rom again the battery should be fine?
the elegant rom is on stock 2.3.7 i had 2.3.3 when i bought this phone
sorry for bad english i have not much time
thx everyone

Roms based on CM7.2 do drain battery massively compared to stock so going back to stock would help.
Battery callibration does not help - see Here
Same problem here... Living with it cuz stock has just become old and lazy
But if you really want battery switch to stock its way better than cm

There isn't a noticeable difference in both versions in terms of battery life. However, 5.7 has better performance and is noticeable.
You can try underclocking to something like 730 MHZ and save a decent amount of battery life without losing performance. Check this OC kernel out:
OC zImage
Also, use Cyanogenmod, ADW launcher without customizations is faster than the stock touch-wiz UI launcher.

For all those who r shouting that battery calibration doesnt improve battery.. Did the XDA said it improves battery life?? Do u ppl know wats the meaning of calibration?? Calibrating means adjusting something to the accurate value.. Not improving the value!! Even we never said it ll improve battery life.. Battery calibration just calibrates the reading to more accuarte one. So let the ppl calibrate it. Else leave. It ll automatically gets adjusted after 1 or 2 week.. U can see urself the change..

Yes, many members on XDA said that callibration improves battery life. The battery indicator on your status bar does not use batterystatus.bin. It does not automatically adjust after 1 week or 2. It re-calibrates every time you charge!
Read the article posted by XDA for more:
google-engineer-debunks-myth-wiping-battery-stats-does-not-improve-battery-life/
well i dont know about you all
but on my phone battery percantage isnt that accurate
cause when i unplug phone from charger and just open game or do something battery percantage goes to like 90%
but when my battery percantage is low like 18% it holds 30mins on 18%
I've tested many roms here and stock rod do tend to have better battery life, but... When i tested the RAZRv3 by TeamCooper, it had extremly good battery life.
When i got my Ace it had froyo, that lasted about 2.5-3 days. I upgraded to gingerbread official, battery lasted about 1.5-2 days on. Then i tried several custom stock roms and they all lasted about 1-2 days.
After that i started testing CM7 (both 7.1 and 7.2) roms and most of them lasted 12-18 hours (i used the wifi disables 3g function and some other tweaks to last the battery longer otherwise those roms would not have been usable)
Then i got to the RAZRv3 i used it for 2 weeks and the battery was amazing, it lasted easily for 3 days with no other tweaks than "wifi disables 3g" and also the performance was good. No lag!
Then i tested the CM7.2byFAT and the battery was awful but i really liked the rom so i keep 3g disabled when i dont use internet (all background apps use 2g internet) and now the battery last for 2 days.
As i've tested.... 3g takes really alot of battery in CM7 roms but in RAZRv3 (cm7.1 based) it worked like a charm.
So.. Everyone who wants really good battery life should test RAZRv3 that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1478807

JuiceDefender Ultimate

Does JuiceDefender Ultimate actually helps to reduce battery? As I'm using Miracle V4 and play games abit and the battery drains
No. Save your money. It messed up my phone and took a lot of energy for itself. Search for battery tutorial instead. There are few apps which help u to analyse which apps consume most batterylife. Or buy new battery for 7 €
Sent with Galaxy ACE
not really. its for lazy people who constantly forgot to turn off bluetooth, wifi etc. all what it does can be done manually.
some say it actually uses more battery as it closes cached (not running) apps which are then forced to reload when called - consuming more CPU - Hence - More battery!

Yep i confirm that. And if not setup properly it causes problems e.g not waking up data connection. After i deinstalled i didnt even get Data connection
Edit: what i found in another thread is that there could be metal swarf the chargejack (sorry asked Google for translation) that cause battery drain. So u could try cleaning with air pressure

According to the app I extended my battery life with x1.3 but I didnt really feel any difference. Removed the app cause of the ram usage primarily.
The app is really good
Customize everything on your own
It would help a lot
And get the ultimate version and use the advance configuration
Everything is explained perfectly

Be Kind everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
I just use Autostarts so that apps that run on background will just be disabled in the first place.
Better to just configure stuff yourself. Its free and doesnt cause conflicts that could arise from enabling stuff that juice defender disables. I used juice defender free at first when i didnt know anything about battery and it helped a lot. Then I tried it again when i learnt enough about what drains battery and had my phone configured, this time juice defender was worthless and actually increased battery consumption.

believe me if u know that bluetooth , wifi , GPRS/EDGE use battery and is not a lazy asss. u dont need to waste ur precious money on such battery and RAM hogger...
whats the use if automatically switches to airplane mode at night and one day at 3 am there is someone calling u for emergency and alas ur phone is on airplane mode...
it runs in background eats up ur RAM and BATTERY TOO....
if u are on a custom rom.... just push down the notification and use the 14 toggles mod... y waste precious bucks for just 3 click???
IMP: if u constantly use ur [hone .. juice defender cant do a ****.... its only useful if u just switch on ur phone 2 times in 3 hrs...
In my experience it saves me about 3 hours of battery a day. So yeah, I think it is worth it.
I'm using premium instead of ultimate by the way.

Same, Plus user here. When I used the stock ROM, the battery life was impressive with it. But when I switched to a custom one, the difference was little to none. Even when I leave my phone screen switched off when not using, it would last a max of 3-4 days before I've to recharge.
There are definitely some issues with JD ultimate.
Battery drained out completely overnight when I don't have any schedule running, not sure what ate the battery frm 36% to 0. I am regretting that I paid money for this app when it didn't work as advertised.

[Q] information required regarding battery of my galaxy s3

Hi all i just got my galaxy s3 two days back and havr charged it three times till now 2.5 hours for each charge. I have heard that i should charge it for 4 to 8 hours for first time but i didnt do that. Is that ok or i did a mistake??
And secondly i am getting 5 hours battry time with full continous usage on wifi videos youtube and games from 98% to 5%. Is that o.k? My screen brightness is 30% only
and the last question is how should i charge my phone? Should i charge it in between 50 or 70% or let it come to 10% ? Any help or advices will be appreciated plz note that i am a heavy user. And by the way cell standby time is amazing i loss 3 to 4 charges per hour.
Any ideas plz??
