you do know how to flash and do fastboot right? because flashing to stock requires that preliminarily...
here is the link to the official rom...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dell_Streak#Official
you can try using 406 or 407 rom and make sure the recovery also matches with the rom...
=)

thank you so much for the reply.
i know how to go in fastboot, the only problem is, i think usb port is broken.
and the recovery is stock recovery, there are four options only. am i right?
last question, the 406 is .img how to flash and where? stock recovery? via install update?
and the 407 is .pkg, or this is the one that can flash in stock recovery via install update etc?
thanks! im a noob for this unit.

if the usb port is broken.. how do you charge your phone? using external battery charger? did the previous owner told you that the port was broken?
if the port is out and since you are already using GB... you can only flash custom rom such as longhorn, dsc, lxdroid....
where you just need to transfer the rom zip to the external sd card...
flashing to stock is quite impossible since you need to flash the matching stock recovery... the stock recovery is there to flash the stock rom...
all the stock rom is with .pkg
and if you said that the recovery is stock... you can only flash stock rom with that matches the number...
go into the recovery and when you select update.pkg menu... it should show you the number of the supported stock rom...
there are many digits in one line with blue (or white?) color... put it here so that we can show you which stock rom can go with the recovery...

I have an LG Optimus One running 2.2.2 latest firmware V10e. Recently, I rooted my device and installed ClockWorkMod Recovery and the Lagfix+OC Kernel by der_caverman. I am using the Stock ROM with that Kernel.
My question is when the official Gingerbread Update comes out by LG, will I be able to update it with the official LG software updater or will it not work because I have ClockWorkMod Recovery installed.
If not, how can I remove ClockWorkMod Recovery get my original Recovery Back???
any help would be appreciated!

nope. you can upgrade at any time if u are staying with ur oem rom even if u are rooted. only thing is that u will lose ur root previllage after the update.
its alwayes advisable to have a custom recovery and custom rom. cause it can take nandroid backups(will save your day if anything goes wrong)

it is risky since you have changed the frame work.if i were you i will do the following.
1)unroot the phone( if u have used gingerbreak use the same to unroot)
2)down load the original recovery from http://www.megaupload.com/?f=XGKNWZQJ and flash. thus u can getrid of amonra and get back original p500 recovery
3)reboot and hard reset and upgrade.
4) since u are now on original recovery and in unrooted condition if any thing goes wrong u can claim warrenty.
let me ask u why u need an upgrade? to get lot of crapwares? or to get amere 600mhz kernal? or to get a laggy phone with mere 60 mb of internal storage space to install all ur apps? or to have adds on every apps?

its stable,beautiful,oced and updated gingerbread.
Thanks for your answer!
And I understand you when you ask me why do I need official update, because I agree that official rom = creap And thats why the first thing that I have done when I rooted my phone was to uninstall all the bloatware from it
I will for sure flash miks rom when he base it on official gingerbread, and if I have a little time for weekend current mod that you recommended (I only hesitate because of the bugs - I know there are just a couple of them, but...). I tried yesterday francos kernel v151, but I'm experiencing color bending in lower half of a screen with it...

ya its up to you to decide...and i agree with u absolutly.but i aint had any problems with mik's 6.5.2(not using francos ker cause some error with cpu freq settings, u have to use setcpu).

yes its a flashable unsigned zip.but if u r using amonra to flash( cause it is unsigned) u have to uncheck the option "toggle signature verify" first.Amonra wont allow u to flash unsigned zips unless u do the above.
ps:if original recovery is flashed u will lose all the options in amonra and the only option will be the hard reset option.
there is a good how to section if u wish...

Hi.
Could somebody pls provide an official GB image (v20a,v20c, v20g) as recovery flashable zip?
And while being at it, a stock GB kernel as flashable zip would also be nice.
Thanks in advance.

I do not understand how to install this rom? I put the stockrom.zip on SD, i boot in to recovery (Custom Recovery), i chose install zip from SD card and i receive "Ïnstallation aborted" message. Any help? Thx in advance
Its probably not signed so u must disable the check.
And i have a feeling you arent aware of the baseband problem.

to be honest i haven't tried to flash the provided zip to my phone.
After being fed up with all the drawbacks of the custom GB roms, i used lgmdp and did the install process all the way from the beginning.
Right now i'm using stock unrooted v20g, not one single problem with the phone and with 50+ hours runtime i'm at 30% battery.
If somebody could give me a quick howto how to create a flashable image from an already installed phone, i'd do that and put that image online.
best regards

If your soft bricked then you should follow this guide: [How To] Recover from a soft brick

how can i be sure that this is a soft brick? the phone seems to me like in the past and not crashing...
how can i be sure that there is a problem? (i post here because a friend of my told me this is a very good furom)
my atrix information:

1. Root the phone
2. Install latest cwm recovery
3. Install custom rom
i rotted the phone
the recovery is it makes diffrence which recovery i am using?
which rom should i use to get the best from this phone (performance, battery, good looking )?
this is clockworkmod recovery: http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.1.8-olympus.img
download that and flash it to your phone with fastboot.
google how to fastboot on atrix its very easy.
then you can enter recovery by holding volume down whilst turning on the device, then keep pressing down until it says android recovery, then press volume up, from there you can mount your phone as usb storage, copy over a rom like cm9 or cm7 and install that, if you want stock i can upload the boot and system imgs for orange UK 2.3.4 sbf but would take a while
edit: if your willing to try a custom rom, cm9 is the latest and greatest android 4.0.4, but a couple small things like video camera and browser rotation are broken, cm7 is android 2.3.7 and has pretty much everything working perfectly.
how i flashing the cm9 version.
there is 3 rar files
what i need to do with them?

in recovery, wipe data/factory reset, flash cm9 then gapps, your better off searching all this stuff as youll probably find in depth instructions
thanks alot!!
everything is ok!
all working fine except the browser that crashes sometimes.
where can i find some cool widgets or some nice stuff for android 4?
Hello all. I decided to install Hybrom on my Xperia mini pro (sk17i) but i'm little confused at the moment and don't know what to do. I have installed CM 7.2.0 rom with FreeXperia kernel. If i want to install the Hybrom, i just need to flash stock firmware via flashtool, install Clockwork once again, then install some custom kernel like Rage and then install the rom? Or do something else? And do i need to relock the bootloader to flash stock firmware?
Install stock firmware, install kernel, install ROM. That's all. No relock needed. Custom kernel already includes Recovery so it is not needed.

Flashing stock firmware - if you choose it in Flashtool, then yes.
Custom - no, you have to do it yourself before installing the ROM.

Thank you, I really appreciate your answer, but I have one last question. Does the firmware already include rom and kernel, or rom only? And do I have to install newer baseband to it to make the custom rom work?

Stock firmwares in .ftf file already include ROM and kernel both.
Most custom ROMs have their own custom kernel that you need to install yourself. Sometimes it is written in the topic as separate download link, sometimes it is included inside the .zip file, then you need to extract it and flash via fastboot. Check my tutorial, if you need help with it.
Baseband will depend on the custom ROM.

Hi. Flashing s124.. yes is the same like other roms.
Original Recovery you must use if and only if you want to use an custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
KK Recovery i put them there for others who allready use custom recovery and want to OTA further updates from STOCK ROM.
If you flash your stock rom you dont need stock recovery because you allready have.
S124 is the last 4.2.2.
KK is 4.4.2.
Good Luck.
