For rooting you can try Framaroot
Just Google: Framaroot apk
Download and install
When you open it, select any exploit and hopefully one of them will work. I have root that way when no other tool worked
Sent from my LG-P870 using xda app-developers app

You can't change the rom until someone finds a way to root that firmware, or unless you downgrade your firmware to a previous version.

Nope.
I had v10n and z4root failed to root it. I flashed my phone with v10b using KDZ updater and then z4root worked. Here you will find the tutorial. Make sure you also have LG drivers installed.
Good luck!

All you need to know is here. Basically, you can't root KitKat directly. You need to revert to JB, install CWM, then return to KK.

Only proper way to get root on stock KK rom is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/development/kk-kk-kdz-p710-root-t2950532
If you need kdz for different country/provider, just ask.
