you don't need to wait it for that much of time.. as odin says pass after 5 minutes...
when all steps are completed and phones reboot to apply CSC update and then reboot to samsung bootanimation you can take off phone and wipe it through recovery to get it working..
waiting for odin to say pass == wasting time
Since it have official update ics, but i think my phone had root so i cant install it. Anyone pls provide a solution.. Many thanks
Version : 2.3.6
Base Version : I9100GDKJ2
Kernel Version 2.6.35.7-g7b57e17-dirty-Lucifr_1.60uv-200Mhz
Flash your stock 2.3.6 xwlc2 stock rom simply via odin. Or if u want a faster method, just go to privacy and hit factory reset. It will be as good as new. Backup your data before doing it though as you will loose data.
Thank if i helped mate. Hf

1. No
2. Just flash the official update via Odin. Download the firmware on sammobile: www.sammobile.com/firmware/
Swyped from my Galaxy SII
Hav got an s2 from singapore nd now want to install indian firmware via odin
This one
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/157126994/d32eaa5/I9100XWLP7_I9100ODDLP9_INU.zip.html
After installing I may need to wipe data via recovery I hav read that there is an EMMC BUG that bricks ur device after wiping data!!!!
Plz help me what should I do in order to not brick my s2!!!!!
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
XWLP7 is ics 4.0.3 which does not have the emmc bug, you will have no problem using CWM recovery to wipe data from your device before and after installation using odin.
Only firmware with 4.0.4 version is effected with the bug.

yes u can flash the same without any issues , since the EMMC bug is only with the leaked 4.0.4 firmwares.
also u can google for some youtube video tutorial on using 'ODIN' to flash a rom and follow the instruction carefully for a successfull flash

Does your phone power on at all? If it does I would recommend booting into recovery mode and performing a factory reset. If this doesn't work you can flash the latest firmware to your device using Odin from here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SGH-T679&pcode=TMB#firmware. Let me know if you still have questions .

You could just do a flash of a stock firmware you can download that here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/stock-official-firmwares-i9100xwlsm-t2226063
or you can search for one that fits your taste (be it JB or ICS) on google.
Use odin to flash the firmware you downloaded. You can snoop around the forums regarding on how to use odin to flash a stock firmware.
I tried this stock firmware with odin (I9100XWLSD_I9100OJVLS6_I9100XXLS8_HOME.tar)...also tried factory reset, clear cache and delvik cache..but nothing worked mobile is still rebooting..
Help me please..

Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General, find it, download the 3 part firmware linked to in the thread, flash it with Odin in download mode (this will wipe your phone). Then either flash stock firmware for country/carrier if you want to stay stock, or re-root phone & restore nandroid, or flash whatever custom rom/kernel you want to run.
