[APP] Odex Me - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Themes and Apps

Hi guys!
Here's a cool app I found on XDA-Developers. It allows you to re-odex your device to increase its performance.
Re-odexing will also give you more free memory on your /data partition.
I've tested it and it works on my Galaxy Y. But you need a custom kernel that supports init.d scripts (Merruk, White, Kuro, Savie, Repencis, etc).
Just move the apk to /system/app, set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot your device. Then launch the app!
Before re-odexing, make sure that your statusbar isn't transparent, or else it'll just disappear after rebooting.
Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514576

Some testing this app in our device???

Thanks works for me on USSR v5
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app

got bootloop, probably cause i was using 170mb of system and only 50mb free and not all odex files could be fit on the free memory so some system files got broken in the process

what will this app do

Yeah...before launching the app make sure there is enough free space in /system.

This app will re-odex your ROM. Only use it if you're using a deodexed ROM (duh).
Re-odexing will give you more free space on your /data partition and will also boost your device's performance and battery life.
But before doing so, ensure the following things:
1. You're using a custom kernel that supports init.d scripts (e.g: Repencis, Merruk, Savie, USSR, Kuro, White), or else this app will do nothing.
2. Your statusbar isn't transparent. If it is, flash a different, non-transparent one. Otherwise the statusbar will disappear after re-odexing.
3. You have enough free space on /system. (More than 50 MB I think). Otherwise you'll end up getting bootloops.
4. You've created a CWM backup just in case something goes wrong.
I'm using USSRv4. Here are the results after odexing it.

If you really want a great selection of free fonts, download custom font switcher from the market. There's close to a hundred and fifty and they all work with every rom I've tried. Let me know what you think.

I tried the "Custom Android Font Switcher"
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-lee-android-switcher-zxmzp.aspx
It shows the font preview, asks are you sure you want to apply..., re-boots immediately back into system, No Change.
Any Ideas??
I usually make my own flash-able .zip files to change the font to what I like.
thought this would be easier.
Also here is an Excellent Source for Free Fonts .

Wow. Thank you. I've always wondered how the fonts would be, using that. As I noticed it in my phone, but never really saw any good font in play store. But there was so many of them, I just gave up lol.
I'll give it a try, as it's a risk free way, done via apk file.
Thanks for posting.

Guys, check this thread by xda member pauldiddy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894397
I downloaded the rar folder, and extracted the contents.
There's lots of apk files, including the roboto flipfont.
I know if your rooted, it's not really needed, but it's handy, as a risk free method, even stock users can benefit from.
I hope author doesn't mind me mentioning his works, but you should visit his thread, as they are LOTS of flipfont apk files.
Just using the roboto flipfont now.

Or you could just install Font Installer and install tons of fonts without having to download apks. It just replaces stock fonts in /system/fonts.
those are additional, I take it

[Q] Manually installing a cooked OUT Kitichen zip

How can I do this? I just cooked a file that has some changes to the notification bar, went into recovery, flashed the zip, reboot, nothing changed. I went back into recovery, mounted /data, flashed the zip, reboot, nothing changed.
To manually install, unzip it, and copy the systemUI.apk in the /app/ folder inside the extracted folder to /system/app/, overwriting the original systemUI.apk and changing permissions to rw-r--r-- using root explorer (or equivalent file manager). Do the same for framework-Res.apk and twframework-res.apk in the /system/framework/ directory. Force closes are normal after doing this and will go away after reboot. Framework-res will probably crash your device after replacing it, but it should be fine after rebooting.

Glad to be of service! Theming has to be the best part of android I have found yet! So easy to make your device truly yours! As simple as pop some different pngs into the drawable-hdpi folder and it's done.

I have rooted my phone? Does ROM toolbox have an option to change seekbar style?
I'm not sure about that but it offers themes which will probably change the seek bar. Try it. Also you can change boot Animation , fonts and icons.

Battery Icons- Any ROM Any Device

I present you with my sets of Battery Icons. The icons include 100 battery Icons and 100 charging icons + the usual battery full, unknown etc icons. These icons are 100% self created and not taken from any site. I will update as and when I make more.
Install Instructions.
1. Unzip the zip/rar file. Add them to your SystemUI.apk/framework-res.apk as per your device and rom.
2. Push the said SystemUI.apk/framework-res.apk to either /system/apps or /system/framework respectively with 644 permissions.
3. Reboot.
...............Voila
(You must have 1 % battery mod installed. If required I can provide the link. Plenty of them available on XDA.)
Nos with % sign (why would u need battery % separately)
