How can I download the original Samsung ROM 4.0.4 without installing Samsung Kies on my PC or registering to Sammobile? Are there any mirrors out there where I can download the ROM?
Maybe someone is good enough to put it on Dropbox or Google Drive for me to download?
I am planning to unroot my device and sell it away. I am hoping to get the ROM and flash it with ODIN.

Hello Charles,
Faryaab has a collection of the latest firmware files available to our Galaxy S III.
You can download one of them from this thread.
All credits to Faryaab, who has been a great help to this community.
Thanks. The Samsung-update.com is causing a lot of problem with disconnection.
Awesome to Faryaab collection!!

Checkfus is faster way
http://fus.nanzen.se/
After trying various options, Checkfus seems to a be a bit outdated. They don't have the latest I9300XXBLH1 firmware plus they don't have Indonesia as the region.
Faryaab also don't have Indonesia although they do have I9300XXBLH1 for UK.
Only Samsung-update.com has it BUT has anybody actually successfully downloaded ROM from their website??? I never seems to do it and it will just stop downloading in the middle of the download, plus speed is supper slow

The best way to get latest firmwares in Checkfus is to key in the 'firmware info' section manually (product code, pda, csc etc) and then click 'check firmware'. It then finds it. Remember that it is downloading from Samsung direct so it has access to all firmwares, even if they don't show in the list. It's also the fastest.
Also, checkfus needs to be updated manually. To do this, delete the dbdata.db file in the same folder, open checkfus and it will show 'Downloading firmware list'. When it finishes you can also check the list again.
Last time I used it, it showed an older firmware version, but when I clicked check firmware it displayed details of the latest official version in the 'Result' section, which I then downloaded.
Edit: As I mentioned above, I just checked INU after refreshing Checkfus. Latest showing was LE8. I clicked check firmware and it showed latest firmware LH1 in the result section.

Download and install Fus Downloader
Using Fus Downloader, get the firmware for your exact phone (make sure product code, PDA, CSC and Phone match your phone)
Flash it with ODIN.
Once you phone has started, go to Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset.
Once that's done and your phone has booted again, flash the same ROM again.
Kies should now recognise your phone.

How do you tell which firmware to use on check fus? My phone is unlocked and I am not sure which one I am supposed to use. I am on KPQ, so I am guessing I would get a bootloop so I will have to reflash after the first time. Is there anyway to confirm that the firmware is indeed stock for my device?

Just choose which device you have from the list in Fus Downloader. For example, if you phone was originally a United Kingdom O2 Network, choose United Kingdom O2 from Fus Downloader and flash that.

@ beggin Thank you very much. As soon as ICS comes out for unlocked S2's I will use this method.
thanks everyone for your replies @Beggin thanks for the tip works perfectly now happy days..
Getting to the point. My unlocked, non rooted, upto date.. Kinda.. It's on 2.3.6 Sgs2 connected to kies works fine, but when connected, kies shows that the update feature isn't supported by my device.
My other sgs2 is rooted and I'm using an ics custom ROM so I can't check with that.
But I got this phone a couple of Weeks ago and decided not to root it until after the 4.0 update.
I have tried OTA as well but that doesn't work either.
Any idea why kies is showing my device as not supported?
Thanks

Hi,
This is one of my first posts so please bare with me. You will need to download a few programs to get this working.
The first is frija. LINK - https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4886005&d=1574653611
Above app is not mine all credit to the dev in the link.
Secondly you will need Odin I'm sure you can all source this yourselves.
After downloading and installing frija, open the programme and search for SM-N970F CSC code DBT
Continue to download the firmware and then flash with odin.
Simple method if you cant wait for it to be rolled out in your country.
I am not responsible for your data or devices, follow the steps at your own risk.
This should work for note 10 plus also, just change the model number and keep the csc as DBT
can i keep home csc ?

Hi to all.
After the recent news about One UI 2.1 on Galaxy 2019 series, a new S10 updates (which seems close to be officially released) has been reported under form of buildstrings:
*G970U1UEU3DTC3
*G973U1UEU3DTC3
*G975U1UEU3DTC3
At this point I assume that the same one will be released also for the exynos versions in April/May.
P.S = Thanks to Max Weinbach for infos.
UPDATE 1: Another community moderator has announced a more clear release timeline (between 3 weeks). More info on this article
UPDATE 1,5: Seems that Sammobile source expects the release of this update for the next week. More info on this article
UPDATE 2: Finally One UI 2.1 for S10 Exynos has been out in Switzerland. Here are the links:

UPDATE 2,5: A short introduction video about this update, found by Tagdu17
