[tool][ICS]backup ur phone without root - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Ultimate Backup Tool
i see this thread from Gigadroid presenting it in our thread too .With this tool, you can completely backup your device without root or unlocked bootloader.
I have tested it so far only with my Galaxy Nexus, but it should also work with other devices running Android 4.0+.
So you can unlock your bootloader without losing your data.

why unlock bootloader

1.how do i backup my Verizon Samsung note 2 keis does not work
2.what exactly does mean if you unlock the boot loader it seems i need to do this so i can use the backup option int the galaxy note 2 toolkit
is there another way to backup or is this the only way? im on stock rooted I605VRALJB. all i want is to be able to do is a backup throgh keis or equivalent
anyone recomend a lockscreen like noled or a simple notification/nightstand clock app/widget
thnks
1. The best way to make a backup requires an unlocked phone with a custom recovery. Then you can make a full image of your phone in it's current state. Very handy.
2. Unlocking the bootloader gives you access to low level parts of the phone, things outside of Android itself. It allows you to install and tweak parts of your phone you otherwise couldn't, like the kernel and the recovery. This means more customization like different ROM's and overclocking capability. If you have any interest in modifying your phone I would recommend unlocking your bootloader, but only if you're comfortable doing it. It's so easy that anyone could do it, but still it's always your responsibility if anything happens.
No idea for your last question.
ok so i need to unlock the boot loader to be able to do the backup right? Then do i need to secure it as in change a root password or is that more of a you can brick your phone?
If that is what i need to do is it hard to undo since it is not recomended to use odin again except to go back to stock which is fine since i dont want to mod anything except getting root so i can tether and being able to do a backup. by the way the unlocking process will it erase my current setup? or will it stay the same since im already stock with only mod being rooted? any links to videos showing how to would be nice thanks. yea so easy a cave man could do it but the internet can prouduce a better caveman/noob.
looking to get another verizen note 2 any idea of where to get one cheap?

[Q] First time Sony user needs help

Hello guys,
Firstly I would like to inform you that my device is coming in 2 days from now and I would like to take it out of the box and root ASAP, since i cannot live without root since my first galaxy S.
Not knowing Sony's devices I have been reeding quite alot, but all I got was confused.
I've read all sorts of rooting without and with locked bootloader. The bootloader concept is not new to me, since i've had a HTC One m7 5 months ago, so that part I got.
What I do not realize is how come you lose certain rights or apps, or whatever when you unlock the bootloader, but i know you can backup the "TA partition", for whatever that is worth. But, that if i onlyroot i do not need flashing it and if i unlock the bootloader i cannot flash it or it will brick it, meaning i can only really use it on bootloader re-lock, which, again, is a familiar concept to me.
Now, for what matters, and i am sorry for probably repeating the subject, I would like to know the following thigs, if you are ever so kind:
- what is the difference between the FW .55/.69 to the 402 and is it worth not rooting (since i will not be unlocking my BL)?
- how do I get the drivers and what do i need to root it (i prefer the easiest, safest and fastest methodthat is motly or all automatic)?
- can I install any kind of recovery (preferably TWRP, since i used it i've deemed cwm dead) whilst BL locked?
- can i install custom roms on a locked bootloader if the rom does NOT come with kernel changes?
I thank you again for your kindness and patience for my questions, since I know well how boring it can get repeating yourself on Q&A
Hi.
I just got my Xperia Z2 the day before yesterday, and it hasn't been even 15 hours since I rooted my device. And it is my first sony too. I came from Galaxy note ( original) and the rooting process was very different. So I don't know many of your questions and the ones I do now, I'm not sure about.
First I think you can root without unlocking your bootloader and then backup your TA and then unlock and upgrade too a custom build of 402. If your device is on 55/69 you can use Z2 exploit ( I think it was by doomlord.) which root and make a backup of TA. I gained root by this method. then if you ever wanted your bootloader too be like day 1, you can with your TA backup.
as for the drivers, I found a package containing every driver I needed. I don't remember the domain I download it from, but the file name is Flashtool-drivers-1.5-20140318 . I think you can search and find it.

1 click android root???

Is it safe to use 1 click android root on this device? I've read all the xda root methods and Im not really understanding any of them
Yeah it is safe, on the count that it does not work...
dont use 1clickroot most of them install backdoor to your phone,if it does work (from experience on other brandphones i've tried )
but sony its easy phone to root, if you dont need backup DRM keys
its just 1.2.3
1unlocked bootloader,(via sony site) 2and just flash recovery 3.install ROM&Gapps with recovery and you done about 10 clicks

Do apologize about the newbie questions first sony phone ive ever owned. I cann do motorola samsung annd lg no problem but this sony is confusing me. What exactly iS DRM Keys and can i do everything from my phone?
Backup DRM it's basically to restore phone functionality if you want undone. like same quality as stock camera, and bootloader (someone fix me if i wrong here)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/summary-tutorial-root-sony-xperia-z5-t3360515
you have 2 methods to flash custom roms (after install drivers)
ADB via Commands terminal(CMD)
and the easy method via flashtool
PS i did this with my previous sony's
with z5c i did not yet, i waiting for my warranty to end 1st
but its mostly the same
1click methods its bad most of the apps install backdoor\malware\bloatware
i use it on my friend samsung and my dad lg, and i found out spam on the phone that i "cant" remove (with titanium backup you can remove most of the time "system apps") but the worse part , its sending your info to them, with option to backdoor, and is not google so its not safe to use

My problem is getting access to a computer to root it thats the only reason why I want to be able to do it all through my phone.

Rooting Xperia X (F5121) Android Version 7.1.1

So I've unlocked the bootloader (lost DRM keys :/) and flashed the UK version for my device to enable fingerprint. Now I want to root it so I can speed my phone up and save battery life. I've looked at the guides, and people said I needed to install TWRP in order to root. I'm not familiar with the rooting process, and I can't afford for my phone to be bricked. People who followed the guides had their phone stuck on the boot logo, and I want to know if there's a secure way in rooting my Xperia X.
Hello. I followed the process in this thread:
Root Xperia X (F5121,F5122) {N} 34.3.A.0.252-6dec2017
I don't think anyone would tell you that there's truly a "secure" way to root your phone (by which I'm assuming you mean zero chance of bricking), but the methods described in the post are pretty robust, and even if you get stuck at a boot screen, you should be able to revert back to stock by using flashtool with the phone in flash mode. I used that process to recovery from failed experiments several times.

Need root can't lose data.

I have a vernee v2 pro. And since I have got I loved the phone but there was never a good way to root it. Recently I found out there was a twrp for it and I could finally flash it and get root on this thing. But there is a problem. I can't unlock the bootloader without losing my data. There is a specific work app that is very poorly made and can't be backed up asnfar as I can tell. So is there a way to unlock the bootloader without reseting my phone? Cant I just make a backup of the phones complete storage? (like trough adb as though I was making an iso of my phones flash to then flash onto it). I would make a full flash dump. Unlock the bootloader and then flash it back. Is something like this possible?
