i'm not familar with how the ip4/bionic performs wifi music sync. the method i've been using, which has worked very well, is to use google music. there is a music manager application for windows/mac/linux which allows you to upload all your mp3/music files to the "cloud" and linked with your google account. once they're uploaded, you can download from any device with a web browser/internet connection or thru google music app/internet connection.
hope that helps!

Well with the ip4 when you charge at night it would sync with your Itunes via WiFi that your pc or mac is connected to stop if I bought music apps etc on my phone it would put them on my pc and of I got them on my pc or mac it would put them on my phone it was realy convenient . Stop I figured ics would have that feature out of the box

[Q] Syncing Without USB Cord?

Is there a way i can sync music from my laptop to my EVO 3D without using a USB cable? All of my USB ports on my laptop have been smashed. Is there a way to use Wifi to share files from my EVO to my PC?
Personally i use Dropbox when transferring files.
It can also be used with DropSync, which does 2-way sync, both from PC-phone and phone-PC

airsync with doubletwist works great
Has Google Music already been forgotten? Although, I don't think it's make available offline option let's you actually download the music, just cache it...

Kies or Double Twist?

for those of you who're experienced with Android, which do you prefer?
what are the pro's & con's of each?
tx for any insight
I either drag and drop files or use Google music

Yeah, Apple has everyone convinced that 'Syncing' your device is the best/only method to transfer your content.
Just plug your device in via usb and mount it's USB storage, drag and drop the files you want.
Isn't Double Twist for Mac only?
Kies is probably worst piece of software ever written by Samsung (very unstable and buggy). You only need Kies if you want to sync contacts with your PC's Outlook or upgrade firmware when OTA is not available.
Put all your contacts to the cloud (Gmail or Hotmail). And you don't ever need any of these software installed.
To sync pictures and videos, the phone should have MTP support on USB already. If you have a Windows Vista or later OS, it is natively supported protocol. No software install needed.
No doubletwist is for pc too

The best part about both of them is the wireless syncing which can be really nice especially with Double Twist that will let you setup an automatic wireless sync overnight. That being said, they both they have their fair share of problems.
Personally, I seriously dislike Double Twist's music player. I don't know what it is, but it's just not very attractive and the sorting options are just meh. Kies can be pretty buggy. The main thing I like about Kies is being able to send and respond to texts from my desktop throughout the day.
I've been really digging Google Music if you're just looking for Music sync. The only issue with the autosync feature for iTunes is that it can have trouble removing music from Google Music if you remove it from iTunes and a lot of the time results in double duty (removing from iTunes and Google Music).
Since I got my new laptop I have completely done away with apple products. I hate itunes, as it needs an update seemingly every time I used it in the past, and is no better than other music players. The only thing I would want itunes for is buying music, but if I buy music it's in cd form anyways.
Yes, syncing is somewhat useful in the sense that you don't need to touch anything, but also completely unnecessary and slow. Drag and drop files into windows media player, then use the Google music tool to automatically sync up to 20,000 songs for free to the cloud. Dragging and dropping is much more controllable too.
As for documents, drag and drop works great, and if you don't want to use cords, use google docs or dropbox to access your docs wirelessly.
What does everyone use for podcasts? I use iTunes to dl and sort by release date in a smart playlist. Coming from an iPhone, I have no idea what to use that will allow me to continue where it left off.

I only listen to podcasts on my phone - never from the computer so
Google Listen (LINK) works okay and is free
DoggCatcher (LINK) works really well and is worth the $4.99 if your a serious listener.

I use Google Listen app to subscribe to the podcasts and download on the phone directly. No computers required. I rarely connect phone the PC (only do so when need firmware update and/or rooting). Google Listen syncs subscription list with Google Reader.
Hey All,
Just bringing our software "iSyncr" into the conversation. You can sync over USB or WiFi from a PC or Mac (with iTunes) to a Samsung Note. If you are going to keep using iTunes, you should consider it, as you can keep all your ratings, play counts and even podcast bookmarks in sync with iTunes and Android.

Yea i keep returning to isyncr (wifi).
Hard to say why but I don't like doubletwist on my imac.

[Q] playing music from windows share on android device

I have a bunch of mp3s on a windows PC shared over wifi LAN.
I want to use a old android device to plug into speakers in another room and access the shared files, search/filter and queue, play songs on the phone.
POssible? Any suggestions on the best way to do this?
I know I could run a shoutcast server and just queue up songs on the pc but I would love to be able to use some sort of app that can scan all the shares and create a database that can be easily filtered/searched on the phone
Thank you =)

Es file explorer. I use it sometimes to play music from my pc and also a dlna hard drive. Its free and easy to use, you will need to enter your windows user name and password the first time you access a windows pc though.

How do i sync itunes

How do i go about syncing my itunes music and playlist to the GS3? use to be very easy with the iphone so im really confused on how to transfer it my new GS3.
Will appreciate the help
Thanks
Its very easy connect your S3 up to your computer via USB cable and then go into the playlist you want on iTunes and drag it into the sd card accessed the same way as how you access a USB
Alternatively download TuneSync from the market and on your computer, then you can sync everything wireless, using wifi.
I've been using since I got my S2 last year
i use double twist for my infuse. planning to do the same when sgs3 comes to att.

I use Easy phonetunes plus. It had a paid and free versions in the play store. IMHO it's the best app that allows iTunes playlist to sync with your android phones. Very useful when you have added new songs to the playlist etc. The sync is very fast and in the paid version it only syncs your changes. The paid version is well worth its money and is more stable than doubletwist. You can try the free version first.

You can simply do that via ADB.
Just enable USB Debugging on your watch connect it via USB to your PC and search how to correctly use "adb push" to transfer files
Can't give you a guide now sadly, I'm on my phone.

I have no idea how to do that but I am reading about it to know more. For some reason my LG G Watch is not installing drivers properly. I think I may need to download the entire SDK to use adb. But thanks for responding.

Here you can find a little guide how to do so over your Smartphone via Bluetooth. It's slow tho, only ~50KB/s so this would take a long time for larger files.
If you want to connect your SmartWatch directly via ADB and USB to your PC you need something like an "LG ADB Driver". I found one but only after an hour of searching or so... I don't have it here at work sadly.
At least that's the only one that worked for me.
I have successfully pushed some songs into my watch and they are playable through es file explorer but haven't checked with bluetooth headfones bcoz i don't have them yet, but how did u made the play music play the songs on the device

I didn't play them "on the watch", I connected my Bluetooth Speaker (which you can see in the background) and then connected my PC to those so I can record the audio.
After messing about a bit with Google Play Music and trying to get it work, I gave up on that and just went the ES File Manager route as well. Working great with the built-in media player!
Too bad I can't find a music player that'll work (GMMP and Apollo don't, just FCs).
I got this to work. I had music that I had uploaded to Google cloud using their program on my computer. That's the only music that seems to be able to be downloaded to the watch using Google play music app on the phone. I'm assuming music purchases from Google play will work too. Idk about that tho cuz I've never bought from them.

Hey can you check in which folder the downloaded music goes in watch so if we directly copy our music into that place it may work

In case anyone runs into the problem where music is playing, but you don't hear anything, just repeatedly type in "adb shell input keyevent 24" and hit enter a few times. For some reason, occasionally when I factory reset the watch, its volume goes on mute. This just increases the volume.
