Titanium Backup Issue with Custom Rom TF300 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I installed this custom stock rom on my TF300 and it's fantastic.
[ROM] ASUS ICS HYDRO 4.4-(8/10)-TF300/TF300tg-Super Fast!! MANY TRY BUT NON COMPARE
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1750861
It's rooted with busybox and SU permissions and works fine in most apps that require root. The only issue is that Titanium Backup uses it's own inbuilt version of busybox and states I don't have root.
Can I do anything about this rather apart from download an alternative backup app? Titanium is great and also gets rid of bloatware but is useless unless I can trick it into using external busybox SU permissions.
Any help would be appreciated.

You could try installing the version of busybox that TB prompts you to install when it says it can't find busybox. Alternately you could try installing a different version of busybox altogether. If those don't work I would recommend you try My Backup Root or the paid version My Backup Pro. My only word of caution with My Backup (Not sure they fixed it since the last time I used it) is that when it went to restore my music playlists it messed them up. So if that's something that is important to you then I would look into a different app for backing up music playlists.

Titanium & My Backup Pro not working on Photon

Both these Apps won't work on my Photon (even thou I am Rooted, verified by Root Check, even BusyBox is installed). My Backup Pro will Backup Apps BUT not Data. Titanium Pro w/licenses will Not work at all.
From what I understand it's a ROM/Kernel thing (worked on my EVO with Myn's Warm 2.2 then Synergy). Any workarounds? Thanks.
Titanium has been working for me.
Titanium works for me too.
Restored using TB and just made a successful backup of both apps and system. Works just as it did on my ogEVO.

What kind of error did you get when running Titanium Backup?
Did you forget to allow root access in superuser for TB?
I would try these 2 things:
1. download busybox installer from market then re-install busybox
2. click on problem in TB and download busybox from TB itself.
Mine is working fine without issue.
Working fine with mine and with the latest sprint MR
I am cool now. Just had to uninstall and reinastall Titanium and My Back up Pro(s). Then downloaded BusyBox. I have already made backups using both. Thanks for the replies

Open the superuser app before titanium, should fix it.

Some roms not keeping apps

I've installed Pkmn ROM, which kept my apps (and did that "updating apps" thing on first boot). But when I install any other roms, they don't keep my apps. Is this because they're on my 2nd, external SD? Also, found that I can't install Titanium Backup on Meanrom to restore my apps. So I have to go back to Pkmn until I sort this...
When you flash a new ROM, you should be wiping your phone, and thus wiping out the apps that you've installed. You'll have to use an app like Titanium Backup to restore them, or redownload them from the Play Store.
Yep, sounds like you arent wiping. This is also going to be the root of your problems for MEANROM
That's the problem. After wiping and installing a new ROM, I am unable to get my apps form the store, there's only like 5 of them listed. And then, as I said in my previous post, Meanrom won't allow me to install Titanium Backup so that I can restore my apps. When I run Titanium Backup under Meanrom, it says something about installing busybox, *which I did*, and won't run after that.
I have definitely been wiping, as in the Meanrom instructional video here, Cache/Dalvik/Factory Reset.
New Problem!!! I just ran Titanium Backup under Meanrom and it says that my Root access is gone! What?! I rooted and did Lazy Panda like a month ago. Everything had been working perfectly, and after I installed Meanrom, it appears that I've lost root. What's happened?! (No, I did not take an OTA, at least not knowingly)
update: TB now says "Busybox works but the Su command doesn't elevate to root, somethings wrong with your su binary and or superuser app...
update again: reinstalled su and reinstalled busybox, now all appears fine with Titanium Backup. Still don't know what's breaking Su and Busybox though.

Are there any app/data backup options that work well with 4.3 as of yet?

After upgrading to CM10.2 nightlies, I noticed that neither of my purchased back-up apps function as intended anymore.
ROM Toolbox Pro fails to backup phone data (such as SMS, accounts, dialer info... etc.), and Titanium Backup gives me an "insufficient free storage space" error any time I try to back up my apps. Now, I've already tried pretty much everything with Titanium Backup outside of installing SuperSU. I've changed the backup directory to every combination of emulated/legacy and sdcard0/legacy... etc. that people have suggested to no avail. The only thing I can think of is that it doesn't play well with Koush's SuperUser app, but I don't want to bother removing it for SuperSU because it's integrated into the ROM nicely.
So is there any way to get Titanium Backup working properly with 4.3 ROMs? I'd like to use it ideally because the update.zip function really makes it the best backup option out there when it's working right.
Otherwise, are there any other backup apps that can backup apps/data/accounts/SMS with 4.3 ROMs without problems?
Did you enable USB debugging and Install from known sources?

Titanium Backup unable to get root; other root apps work fine

Hi All,
I'm running the latest AICP 13.1 nightly on my Moto G4, rooted with SuperSU. My issue is that Titanium Backup throws an error when launching showing: "Sorry I could not acquire root privileges... This attempt was made using the "/system/bin/.ext/.su" command""
Starting a terminal and switching to root prompts SuperSU to ask to grant permissions and is successful. Same with busybox or the official TWRP app.
I've done a lot of digging and I'm at a bit of a loss. The only thing that seems somewhat odd is that busybox, SuperSU, and the Official TWRP App are all installed on the internal storage while Titanium Backup installed to the SD card. Moving Titanium Backup to the internal storage doesn't change the results though. The choice of where to install the apps wasn't made by me so I'm not sure what decides that.
Does anyone have any idea what I might try to get Titanium to work?
TIA!
The next daily of AICP seems to have fixed the issue, so I'm not sure what the root cause was.
