I just bought an Xperia S, I made an upgrade to latest ICS version and installed CWM and root files, bootloader locked and stock rom....
Suddenly my phone turn the screen black, i tried to use power and vol+ at the same time and turn on the screen with the sony logo but after that fall into a boot loop, i called to sony and they said i must wait intil battery is empty, charge again a try it to restore but now my phone doesn't turn on at all (even with power on + vol+) and after a few menutes plugged the led turn of, my pc doesn't recognizes
Any ideas????
charge your phone first then try to repair via seus or pc companion, or flash the stock kernel included on your rom.
it don't charge, well only a few minutes and after that the led turn off
also i can't access to flash mode

Nop, still dead with red led light when i connect it to power
Which step were you on? Also try using a different usb port on your computer to get flash tool to work. And make sure you have the phone drivers installed

I charged my phone for a while, i remove a put it again the sim card, my pc doesn't recognized the phone, power and vol + no work
also when i was charging the phone the led always was red
have u installed the drivers correctly? theres a driver for xperia s at the C:\flashtool\drivers, try to install it first then try my suggestion and not the sim card option on that thread i gave you.

Hi,
I have the SE X10i, one day i tried to power it on and it showed the 3 flash red light, so i charge the battery and then tried to power on the phone.
The phone vibrate once and nothing going up, the screen stay black, no light at the keys.
I tried to install new rom via SERUS, it fails.
tried install via flashtool and it stuck on flashing loader.
As i understand from the flashtool the phone can get into flashmode.(back key and insert the usb cable).
Any help please how to wake up this phone alive.

Remove battery
Insert USB cable
When software asks you to press back, hold back while putting battery back in, should go straight to flash mode and flash

Also try downloading another stock Rom, maybe the one you have has became corrupted?

Hey pumemule,
Turn off phone or take out battery
Conect your USB cable to PC
Open Flashtool
Select Kernel that you wanna flash
Wait for pop up message
Connect your phone
Hola BACK button
Re-insert the battery
check this video to show you how to put on flashmode Xperia X10 on flashmode
You can check any for any stock ROM on android development

First download the stock ftf file from the below link

Turn off phone and take out battery
Conect your USB cable to PC
Open Flashtool
Select Kernel that you wanna flash (stock Rom)
hold back button
Re-insert the battery
Connect your phone
a green led will appear.....
then the work is done......
restart your phone

Try to flash the firmware (a .ftf file) with Flashtool. You can find both in this forum.
If it doesn't work the first time, keep trying. Needed two tries until flashing process correctly started in my case.
well, two options:
phone has to be turned off, remove battery for doing so, if you have to
in both cases your phone has to be definitely turned OFF!!!
press volume down while connecting your phone via usb -> if led turns green, you can flash your phone via flashtool using a
ftf-file
or
hold volume up while connecting your phone via usb -> if led turns blue you can flash a kernel (with clockwork mod would be best) and flash rom via clockwork mod
kinda confusing for me, cause i read everywhere that flashing your phone via sus is the last option to revive your phone after a failed flash.
but if THIS ****ed your phone up, im not sure if one of the above solutions will make your phone work again.
but give it a try. and report back
After using recovery and install a new kernel ( seems not compatible ) after choose reboot to system option my Xperia S didn't function anymore and I couldn't able to use keys to reset or power on my phone.
I try all of combination of keys but nothing
I put in charging more than 8 hour but nothing ( only first solid RED led appeared and after hours it goes off and when try to charge another time it did the same )
when I connect to PC the flashtool shows it connected with debugging off and do nothing.
I can't go on flash mode or fast mode to reinstall again.
would some one help me to how can I bring my phone in live. ( I haven't a repair sony service in my town )

It's not bricked, one of my Xperia S phones did this to me on multiple occasions. The first time i just let it charge over night, or until the solid red LED turned to solid orange LED. The patience waiting for it to turn to an orange LED is the key here i noticed after it happening several times, interrupt it each time and it may as well be bricked through lack of patience.

had the same last night, hold the vol+ and vol - key pressed together, then press the power for about 20 secs you get a 3x vibe, then connect and flash

As I wrote I try all combination of keys but nothing changed...
Just when I plug to PC red LED goes on but after about an hour it goes off , and when I replug it goes on again...
Last days when I plug to wall charger red LED acts the same pluged to PC but now red LED is off about 8 hours connected to charger....
Only the flashtool recocnised the phone with usb debugging off when I connect to PC but I can't go to flash mode or fast boot mode...
Is there any commands with an application that works with xperia s and re write its bootloader when its not in flash or fastboot modes.
I was installed all of the derivers needed for adb and ... when my Xperia S was working...
would know someone help me to take my phone works agian?

I was using Stock ROM 6.1.1.b.1.10 with Phantom Kernel and do a little change in apps, then suddenly stupid me want to update to Google Bean Z (u can find in Go Development) without recovery neither flash back to Stock. Now my phone's bricked. Every time I boot, it stucks at Phantom Logo but I can access to CWM, I try to flash back via Flashtool but when I connect and hold Power+ Volume -, my computer say Device not Recognized....and nothing happen :| i'm using window 8.1 and I just installed Flashtool 3 hrs ago(I've installed all the drivers), I don't know if this is Flashtool Problem or my phone problem, can anyone detect for me ?

In Flashtool drivers your Xperia Go, Flash mode, and Fastboot drivers must be checked.
yup I did that way and all the drivers checked, then I tried to delete USB HUB Driver but when Flashing, installing phone driver still Not Recognized....
USB 3 ports won't work, you must use USB 2 or change in BIOS xHCI to EHCI if you have this option.
Also I read someone said windows 8.1 has no solution yet.
So sad to hear that On the way back to win 7....
Xperia go hard bricked, not starting in flash mode nor fastboot
Sorry, i'm new here, i've downloaded roms and some other stuff here, but now i have a serious problem. I had this GoogleBeAnZP rom on my phone (i had root, unlocked bootloader and CWM) and it was fine!!! actually it was running smooth, but i wanted to try another rom, i tried to instal a JB custom rom that i saw over the internet, so i entered the recovery mode and installed this rom with aroma installer. it said that everything was installed, and that it was going to reboot, so i waited, and NOTHING HAPPEND!!! now, i try to enter flashmode to instal the rom from flashtool and i can't even enter flash mode. my cellphone is really dead, all it does is turn a red light when i connect it. once it turned on the green light like when it enters flash mode but not anymore. I've hold the down button before connecting it, like a hundred times, trying to reboot the phone pressing the up volume button and the power button at the same time but its dead. it keeps showing the red LED indicator but not starting. i've been reading hundreds of posts but no cellphone does what mine does. i tried SEUS, flashtool but both require flashmode and I simply can't enter!!
All i get is this red light from the LED but no response in my phone. the screen doesn't blink neither vibrates

Hey bwhite93, did u find a solution to recover the bricked xperia, mine is the same as like yours was, only flashing red light sometimes, no flash mode no fastboot nothing. Was wondering if u found a solution.
Fix
Find the driver intaller inside flashtool and install it if still not work try the pc compinion

hi i flashed a rom and when i clicked reboot phone in cwm it vibrated and black screen. now phone wont turn on or go into fast boot. when i plug in charger the red led comes on for about 2 seconds gthen goes off. also if i hold vol down and power the green led comes on for a second and goes off. if i hold power and vol up blue led comes on for a second then goes off. i dont know whats happend.

I Think the only way to save your phone is flashing it using flashtool.
First of all try recharging your battery using an universal charger.
then try reinstalling usb driver.flashmode and fastboot drivers with flashtool (fastboot and flashmode are not compatible with windows 8.1)
Normally flashtool will recognize it without a problem.

yeah, with flashtool, install the drivers and then try to install the custom ics, when flashtool ask you to put the phone on fastboot just volume down while you connect the usb cable, it worked for me
thanks all . finally managed to fix the phone. issue was i was using flashtool on windows 8.1 even though i disbaled driver signature. some features still dont work on windows 8.1 . i then used my windows vista laptop and everything worked fine
so phones rooted with custom rom. happy days
