My friend has a Droid Razr that is X912T.
Is this GSM or CDMA?
I see a lot of GSM Roms, and not many CDMA.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Seems like you own a cdma device,if it has Verizon's logo on the back it is cdma, just not shure about the T in the end

I have a question, I want someone than can answer me correctly.
I read at GSMarena than the xt912 is cdma and gsm like the Droid 2 global. I want someone than has one, to confirm this, cuz I wanna buy one, but don't want to buy a xt910, the are out of my price range. And the maxx we dont have to talk about that, do we?
Thx in advice..
Forgot to say, I want to use it on gsm networks at 900mhz.

Plenty of threads about this. If the hardware is there, it's disabled. The XT912 definitely does not work on GSM networks, and that's unlikely to change in the near future. Best not to buy one.

Android system can be configured to work with any hardware, but a cdma hardware cannot work as gsm, and vice versa
Got it?

Pretty sure the hardware in the XT912 and XT910 is identical - meaning both have physical CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE radio chips - but the GSM radios are disabled on the 912 and vice versa. Hence all the threads like this.

Looks like Verizon's lookin' to make it possible to charge us EXTRA extra if we use the phone overseas after we get the ICS upgrade...

Way to find a way to charge SUPER roaming fees, Big Red!
At least we'll be able to use our 4G devices outside USA like those i-devices
Do we know what GSM bands the Verizon Droid RAZR Maxx it'll be using yet?
It is quad band.

Well at least this looks like a step in the right direction for unlocking the full potential of these devices. Maybe next they'll unlock the bootloaders...
If only.

Has anybody tried the official ics update on at&t or T-Mobile? I'm just wondering if it actually works or what. Thank you for any answers and for looking. And yes I know there is a thread saying you could force it to work.

The way its turned out is that CDMA Roms are on droidrzr.com and GSM Roms are on XDA.
I have the sprint S 3 but there's no 4gLTE in my area, would I be able to get the international version and use that on the sprint network? Cause lte is the reason you can't use the quad core right?

Any info bout the lte?

The international version doesn't have CDMA radios.
Lte will be rolling through the country later on. Get the quad if you don't want to wait til that happens

No no no, it won't work. Sprint uses CDMA radios, the international has GSM radios. You misunderstood.
Sprint is cdma but LTE is GSM technology. Just to complicate things.....

But the international has no LTE. So it will absolutely not work on Sprint.

I so agree with you!!! I want to go to ATT or TMobile because they're GSM Networks but Sprint is giving me a crazy deal that I could never drop.

In much of the US CDMA coverage is superior to GSM coverage. I almost never do not have at least CDMA for voice. When I was with ATT on a GSM phone that was definitely not the case.
Well maybe TMobile is better. I find with Sprint. I only get service in about 60% of the places I go
