Hello guys,
After my HTC wildfire S, I bought iCrap and since I got used to use Android, I sold it and bought Galaxy S3 :good: However, I have a big problem During calls people cannot hear my voice. I updated the latest version, but still there is a problem during calls. I dont know how to solve it. I think it s a OS problem and it s going to be OK after JB, but I am not sure. Could anyone help me to overcome this problem I will be really appreciate :fingers-crossed:
flash some different basedbands and see if it helps

Try to set your phone in GSM mode only instead of wcdma and check your connections. Maybe this will help you.

I actually find my S3 to have generally brilliant call quality. I've come from a 4s and it's much louder and clearer than that was.

You should try to deactivate Noise Reduction in call options. I had the same problem and that fix it.

Did it work before the upgrade? If it did I would return it to AT&T and tell him the ICS update broke your phone.

did the upgrade break it? did you do something to break it?
Does your provider support at&t bands?
If the phone is stock, and you havent done anything to cause the problem. check the contacts on the SIM, or the phone h/w failed.

If it was like that before the upgrade then it's a hardware issue. The phone has a broken antenna.
And you probably voided his warranty by flashing a custom rom. LOL.

Because if I was over In The att / Samsung forums asking for help with a custom ROM what kind of replies and help would I get. Like I said I wasn't trying to be an ass about it was just kinda curious why people don't ask for help on official ROMs from the people who actually release it.

Hi everybody,
The camera flash of my new Samsung S3 haven't worked since the first day I've got my new phone. Factory reset didn't help The phone is in repair now, but I 'm wondering - did anyone have the same problem, or it's only my bad luck.
Thanks!
I don't think that many people have that problem, when I got my crapy arc last year,I didn't have any vibration, had to send it in

Try a flashlight App from the market then you'll know if it's just cam software related.
You're the first one I've heard of who has a broken LED light, so it's not a common issue.
However even with the most rigorous quality control, when building several millions of a device there are a few bound to be broken upon shipping or have loose connections.

Am getting similar msgs about a running game whatever..... It must b some application i installed which pushes such ads or adware...... How can i know which app? Nd by the way dont know if it is wifi on off related but rather happens when internet source is toggled..... Wifi/3g etc.... Task manager shows no application running....
I asked my (Chinese) wife, it means "The Internet connection was changed".
I don't see any pics man
A quick look at logcat will probably tell you the offending app or process.
It means way of connection to the internet has changed in Chinese
I had a similar issue to this on a UK firmware with an SGS2 and when wifi was enabled it used to display a Korean message, I think there maybe some non-translated strings in this area.
Here is the text if you need it:-

Well, there is no "issue" except that they've forgotten to translate a string of text somewhere saying "your internet connection changed" as previously stated. This notification is correct.
If you don't want to root it or flash different firmware you'll have to live with it for now.

Did you buy the i9100G vampire edition?
Jokes apart..if its hanging under sunlight, its probably overheating or if you've enabled auto-brightness, some problem with that. Try holding a flashlight on the light sensor and see if it hangs when the screen brightness changes.
I don't know if its a common occurrence with the G version. You could try asking in the i9100G forum. Might find someone with a similar problem.
Good luck

Thank you for the reply, i think it is the problem of auto brightness. I have unchecked the auto brightness option and i think it is woking fine.
I think it is software related problem, is there any way of rectifying it.

I think if you are confident enough to do the modifications you should do it, what can happen is a soft brick which can be fixed with Odin. Hardware bricks are rare. Though you should decide for yourself, the only thing I'm telling you is that there's no point to wait as long as you want to do it and you know what you're doing. If you need help you can ask me anytime

I have affraid of problems on hardware, like screen or touch that doesn't work or motherboard burned (sudden death problems for example)
Sudden death shouldn't be a problem with newer firmwares, but other hardware issues are relatively rare, so I'd go ahead my phone stayed stock for approximately 6 - 7 hours.

No never. I had a SanDisk SD card fail on me, but that was replaced under warranty but nothing Samsung related.
But it's your warranty so bear in mind that they may reject any claim, although in the UK the fact that you've modified software does not give them the right to decline a hardware claim.

I don't think you should be that afraid of doing it. The chance of a fail is very low and the sudden death syndrome has been fixed long time ago. If you really want it, give it a shot... Personally I've never had any hardware related problems while flashing ROMs
And also the European buyer protection law is on your side

Then don't do it, although I went custom route from day 1 I was using stock based roms until recently, this is the first Android device I actually felt comfortable using stock even if it was a little flabby.
Stick a launcher on and look around here there is a lot you can do without even rooting your device, there really is no hurry to do anything.

when u are ready to root and flash custom rom, flash a custom recovery like cwm too. NANDROID BACK UP straight away after flashing custom recovery. The cyanogenmod installer is safe to use. I have personally used it and it was smooth. Back up ur efs too. If u dun know wat is efs, go read on it. Good luck rooting and flashing. It is safe unless u dun follow instructions or read carefully.
