I think if you are confident enough to do the modifications you should do it, what can happen is a soft brick which can be fixed with Odin. Hardware bricks are rare. Though you should decide for yourself, the only thing I'm telling you is that there's no point to wait as long as you want to do it and you know what you're doing. If you need help you can ask me anytime

I have affraid of problems on hardware, like screen or touch that doesn't work or motherboard burned (sudden death problems for example)

Sudden death shouldn't be a problem with newer firmwares, but other hardware issues are relatively rare, so I'd go ahead my phone stayed stock for approximately 6 - 7 hours.

And your phone never had a problem with hardware?

No never. I had a SanDisk SD card fail on me, but that was replaced under warranty but nothing Samsung related.
But it's your warranty so bear in mind that they may reject any claim, although in the UK the fact that you've modified software does not give them the right to decline a hardware claim.

I don't think you should be that afraid of doing it. The chance of a fail is very low and the sudden death syndrome has been fixed long time ago. If you really want it, give it a shot... Personally I've never had any hardware related problems while flashing ROMs
And also the European buyer protection law is on your side

I'm with you there, if you do it by hand you should have a better idea of what is going on, and imho if you don't have the time to learn what's involved then you should query whether you really want to go down the custom root

Then don't do it, although I went custom route from day 1 I was using stock based roms until recently, this is the first Android device I actually felt comfortable using stock even if it was a little flabby.
Stick a launcher on and look around here there is a lot you can do without even rooting your device, there really is no hurry to do anything.

when u are ready to root and flash custom rom, flash a custom recovery like cwm too. NANDROID BACK UP straight away after flashing custom recovery. The cyanogenmod installer is safe to use. I have personally used it and it was smooth. Back up ur efs too. If u dun know wat is efs, go read on it. Good luck rooting and flashing. It is safe unless u dun follow instructions or read carefully.

If you can get into recovery mode try the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488 you might be able to install a stock rom.

I had the same as you mate.
There is nothing you can do at the moment.
There are several guys with this problem.
When you try to flash a rom, odin gives you a pit file error, right.
The battery is not charging,right.
You can't pass the first screen, right.
I brought mine to a repair center and they say the whole screen must be replaced,WTF.
Cost:216 euros.
I wait for a solution here on xda.
Perhaps JTAG helps

painterceessie they told me that it was most probably the motherboard but after talking with the very big tech person there he told me even if it was a boot-loader problem they have to change the board for me as my device is not from the the same country coz they cant write a new boot-loader "samsung rules"
and after checking my IMEI number he told me they will have to get an approval from samsung something office anyway and after asking and asking and asking if it was stolen or something like that he told me no . . . thank god he really scared me
to clear things up i got this unit as a gift from someone in samsung "friend of a friend' before the official market date
im looking for someone that has JTAG to try and fix this
but for your unit i dont think it would be the screen if you can go into download mode and see it then the screen would be ok . . . i think

I'm no expert but if we take the worst case scenario it would be that your memory is dead
I would try to flash a Rom with 4 files and see what happens

What real difference is there to you? Technically no you cant yet return to actual stock, but for all purposes i can think of deleting the root from the rooted images is the same thing, what does it actually matter to you?

Hi djembey, and do you think that it might be the cause even if I have the ROM with Samsung patch installed? For SGS3 it is XXELLA. It started to freeze/stuck last Saturday, sometimes it restarts without my intervention, sometimes i had to do it myself.

Yes, it says insane chip. Memory check passed without errors. I have the ROM that should have applied the Samsung patch for this chip, but I think it fixes only the hard dead. It stucks with both, rooted and unrooted ROMs, I did many Odin reinstalls during last few days. I tried even a very old 4.0.4 and it also did not work correctly. I think it froze even with pure install after factory reset, I have to back it up and try once again.
You're both very unlucky. Insane chip mean SDS sooner or later. I'll use warranty to get replacement. Samsung reckons that in new Kernel is fix for it but people still reporting dead S3's.

Hard Bricks

It appears after some research random hard bricking of 6P is a pandemic. Mine apparently died yesterday for no reason and it appears I am not alone.
Mine was 2 months out of warranty and huwawi want to distance themselves from this issue. I have tried in vein to recover my phone. However I have since learned a software glitch cooks the motherboard rendering it a write off. mine recently did a update 4 days before the failure.
Can people post there experience because I am not letting this go without a fight. I am tired of expensive substandard tech being pushed upon us.
Can your phone still boot into its bootloader? If it can then your 6P isn't dead yet: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guide-fix-nexus-6p-bootloop-death-blod-t3640279
