Has anyone ever found a way to use Google Voice Search via a Bluetooth headset? I know that's a huge complaint from a lot of people, and I have poured over tons of forums and not found an answer.
Thanks in advance!

I always try to search before asking a question.
However, when ever I search on XDA I ALWAYS get irrelevant results. And sometimes, it can't find anything at all!
For instance: Right now there is a post "tv out cable" right here on the first page.. but if I do a search for "tv" it finds nothing. So I tried a search for "tv out cable".. remember there is a post right on the 1st page... it still says that there are not posts matching that criteria.
What is going on!?
I am perfectly capable, and willing to solve my own problems if I can. And I will search away until I find what I need. But how am I supposed to find what I need if the search function doesn't work worth a darn?
Thanks
try sticking AND ( in capital between your search words )
and select in thread titles only
searching " tv AND cable " in just the rhodium section brings up about 20 results including the one you mention at the top
hope that helps
It can be challenging to find what you are looking for and I applaud your efforts to solve your own issues first.
I was also frustrated when searching within XDA. Try using the search tool in my sig; click the blue letters. You can also try this one, http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=017695416373862181485:gvgyyqz72fk&hl=en
I like to do a google search like this:
TP2 TV Cable site:forum.xda-developers.com

i like using google cause i can switch between ppc geeks and other sites if xda doesn't show an answer. Not always the most up to date threads, but still very relevant information.
I find using Google the best option. Just type what you want to know with "xda" or "rhodium" added. The second works especially well since not all information on this phone is located on this web site
Use the built in forum search, not the google one. I find that it works much better.

I use google to but in the format of "site:xda-developters.com search keywords here" find it to yield somewhat better results then the built in search.

Hello,
I just purchased a Galaxy S II, model SHW-M250S. However, I do not think it came with the voice talk software. Does anyone know why that would be? Any way to add it to the phone (other than vlingo from the app store) I have been trying to figure it out online for a little bit now so I am posing the question to those with a lot more knowledge about phones than myself. Thank you.
You mean a voice command application? Vlingo is the closest you can get right now.
Yes voice commands. I thought the GS2 came with a "voice talk" application preloaded. In videos I have seen users just click applications and it is right but my phone lacks this.
There are three, voice talk, voice command, and voice search. Not sure what are the difference among them as they all seem to do more or less the same thing.
Sent from my phone via tap tap tap
Hmm, well I have the voice search but it just searches google. It won't open apps or let me dictate messages or anything.
You are right, I got them confused, voice search does google, but the other two more or less do the same thing. They should all be in your app drawer.
I don't think they are I wonder how it got left off the phone? Kinda disappointing. Too expensive of a phone to be missing stuff imo.
I have been searching high and low for an APK that has those, but I have not come up with anything so far... lost it when I flashed a complete WIPE custom rom... I'll be ever so thankful if anybody uploads or directs me to said APK...

Hi All
I am looking for an app that will change your voice, but I want to be able to use it in call. The main change I am looking for is to feminize the voice. There are many apps on the market but none of them are usable in call. Yes, I want the person on the other end to hear the change not my voice. If anyone knows of an app or could make an app similar to MorphVOX that would be awesome. Yes, I have searched the forums and no, I didn't find anything. I have googled this repeatedly and have had no luck. I need it to be compatible with Eris.
Thank you in advance.
I hope you're not a stalker
Just kidding, as far as i know for Android there's no "call voice changer" (yet).
No I'm not a stalker. I just don't like my voice. I hadn't found one yet was just hoping someone knew of one or could create one. I would be willing to donate to their efforts.
I have a x10 with fera volts gb 30.3rom. It has the viper equalizer/dsp. I noticed te apk had 2.3. for gingerbread. Just wondering if there is a jellybean version for my new xperia zl because it really improves the sound. If anyone knows cuold they post a dl link thanks.
No offence, but did you even bothered to find the name of the app on any search engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, XDA forums search panel, or whatever)?
Anyway: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451695
Have fun. And remember, NEVER, EVER forget about our little handy friend, named Search.

Lol.Yes I looked for viper google showed the viber voip app, lol Didn't realize the app was called viper4andriod. Anyways got the apk thanks for pointing out my google search failure lol
I really need some help with this. I'm partially sighted and so when I saw a video of the truesmart using google voice to search for things I knew this would be the smartwatch for me.
The problem is when I use it it only opens the browser. It doesn't actually search. Also, when I do simple tasks like "calculator" it just opens the browser.
What am I doing wrong?

It's not Google Voice that you are needing. You need to install Google Search. When you do... open it and it will have you sign in. Install the widget on your home screen and you can you voice to activate it and do searches.
The watch has a problem reading the answers though.... as is documented in another couple of threads... unfortunately.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for your reply.
I tried that dragon search app that Omate mentioned was coming out on the Omate but it doesn't work. I then tried Utter and that works brilliantly.
Speaktoit Assistant
I loaded up Speaktoit Assistant and worked ok, but too much of a delay for a reply then Google Search. I can live without the witty interaction I guess?
