I'm stock, not rooted. Updated to 4.0.4 yesterday. Hulu doesn't work for me anyore. When I try to load a video I get a message saying that there's network issues with my network (Sprint). I thought maybe it was my connection but I'm well over 1 Mbps right now and Netflix works fine. Anyone else stock with the new OTA update that can test this out on a 3G connection?
Also wanted to note that the app works fine on wifi. Tested that last night. I've done PRL and profile updates just in case. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing seems to work.

Nobody has replied yet so figured I'd offer you the perspective from an app developer. When coding an application to work over an internet connection, there are a few different ways to verify what type of network connection is active before initiating. The app can determine and only work over WiFi, or 3G, and in some cases can determine a WiMAX/LTE type of connection. The app could be programmed to only work over WiFi, or WiFi/3G or WiFi/3G/WiMAX/LTE, all depends on the application.
Since you state it works over WiFi, but not on the Sprint network, I find that very odd.
If the application worked over your sprint network connection before and now it does not .. we'd want to look at what changed between the before/after states.
Maybe if you could screenshot and post up the exact error message and that might provide some technical details to help narrow down the issue.
Hope some of that background is slightly helpful in moving towards a resolution!
Here you go and thank you for the response.

I haven't seen this posted yet. Here goes..
I'm running .6 and .7 radio along with Das Bamf 1.5 Remix. My bluetooth will lose connection with the phone. I'll try to enable the bluetooth option on Das Bamf, but it continues to say, "Bluetooth enabling, please wait." Any idea how to fix this. The only short term way to fix so far has been rebooting. That seems to work for about 10 minutes then loses it's connection again.
FYI. Overclocked to 1.4 on Setcpu

I would remove all bluetooth devices from the TB and power it down. I would then reset the bluetooth back to factory.
Power up the TB and then connect back with the bluetooth and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks. I'll try that now.
I have the same problem.
Was working great for about a week. Then just yesterday the phone app kept force closing when connected to BT and now it wont connect to the phone via BT.
Restart phone a couple times with out any luck. I will also try the reset idea.
Other than this problem, DAS BAMF has been simply awesome.

This sounds bad, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I searched everywhere on this forum to see if anyone else had the same problem. What radio are you using? I'm using .6 and .7. Had one reboot today while on wifi.
No issues (as of now) on 1.5 and whatever the newest radio is. I'm not running the kernel that came with 1.5 though. Using Imoseyon Normal #2
BTW... I use the factory bluetooth in my Dodge Truck. (U-Connect)

What type of Bluetooth are you using? I'm using a Plantronics Voyager PRO. It will reconnect for me but only after a reboot. This has happened on multiple roms

I am running the Leaked ICS (odin one click version) and have CWM b4 installed and it is Rooted. The only thing I am missing that I want is tethering =)
Anyone figure this out yet?
I have:
- searched the settings db and have found no entries that are working.
- browsed titanium backup freezing potential apks
- attempted to install various apps..
Nothing is working. Anyone else have any better luck?

Get the FoxFi app from the marketplace. That's the easiest way to get it.

FoxFi works great. No problems.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
Yes, FoxFi works with no other steps. One thing wifi must be off, it might send up red-flags if it were on.
Most of those apps I tried in the past turn off Wifi anyway.
I take it you are trying to get around AT&T knowing it? Just keep in mind they have been known to find out anyway, and change your account for you.
Otherwise, if you have a tethering data plan, the built in one works fine.
hello, On GB Wireless tether for root users worked for me. I was able to use my phones signal to connect my pc..waaaaaaaaaaay faster than my home wifi network. I just installed this but it seems it wants to connect to my home wifi sucky network and not use my phone signal to connect to my PC. am i missing something? do i need to freeze something on ICS for this to work? ON GB you had to freeze "tethering manager" and then it woked with a click.
sorry but some more explanation would be much appreciated....thank you
Yesterday on ICS they kept turning off my tether and saying I don't have it. Today using ICS (odin one click) version but rooted I get no messages and FoxFi now works perfect. Not just a few minutes but have been connected for hours. I had to freeze tether manager on GB but not now.
I don't know about the home wifi issue, no problems there.
i rebooted and clicked the button and then refreshed my avail networks at home...it popped up and i connected....signal strength on phone 4 bars. tried to go to gmail and it just spun....then even though at bottm of pc said connected and excellent strength...it wont' go anywhere.
EDIT: ON ICS the collectives version...and of course rooted.
Foxfi not working. Computer said connected but "Limited". I delete TetherProvisioning(TetherManager) too. Not working both Foxfi and the built in one
Used to work in stock GB. Anyone have solution?
Using ICS Collective
I am on my 3rd HTC EVO 4G LTE (No Root) phone in a month. 2nd with same exact issue: after a few days of use, phone will not connect to network.
Everytime I call Sprint CSR, they tell me a tower is down in my area till the next day.
Next day I still have no connection and go to the Sprint Repair center, they order a replacement phone which goes on back order.
Everything is good with replacement phone for a few days, then by the weekend I'm back to NO VOICE NO DATA
What can be causing my phones to loose connectivity after a few days???

I'm having the same issue. Today my sister called me. She said she would call again in 5 min. Never got the call. My wife called and txt'd never got them. I have called sprint many times. I am roaming most of the time. My wife's lte does not have the same problem. Got them both the same day.

I just noticed when my status bar shows that I am roaming. (delta on the signal bars) In about phone it does not show me as roaming. But the operator network switches from sprint to 3107.

See if your phone will take any ## commands also check under about phone, phone identity see if your username is missing. If it is it's bricked. A friends evo just went out same issues in and out of roam wouldn't take any ## commands missing user name. I tried everything, profile updates, hard resets, etc. Nothing worked phone was never modified or rooted. I asked another member on the forum my next step was going to try and run an ruu but he said it didn't help so I didn't even bother. Sprint store replaced it with a brand new one. I have never see a phone not take ## commands before, it would just lag the phone out for a few seconds then not do anything it was weird. You might have to bring it in for replacement.
My username is there.
How should I set up my phone before taking it to sprint for replacement? I am currently s-off running viper4g lte rom.
I was going to flash RegawMOD bootloader customizer to gain “stock" look. Flash a stock rooted rom. Should I then uninstall supersu or just leave it?

Hello Guys , I hope someone helps me over here ....
* The Catlog containing logs and My device full info and the Pictures are attached to the Post*
(galaxy J7 stock rom) So , two weeks ago while I was using my Android device it started Connecting and Disconnecting my Home wifi Internet connection (I mean by that the wifi is always On but my device keeps disconnecting from the connection and connecting again and No it is not a smart switch issue or battery save issue as there is no other wifi connections except mine )
First thing I did of course , is to see if the problem is with my router but it's not , I tried other devices.
I Fully wiped the device but the problem still occured whenever I try to access the internet (As opening google ) and I haven't installed any apps yet , I never rooted my phone before but I just Rooted NOW with CF to Catlog what's happening , Using a firewall didn't help as the apps sending the packets are google apps which I need.
I noticed on my router that my device is sending THOUSANDS of Packets and has About 1000 Active TCP connections from ports used by google service such as Google account manager (I Used network connections app) , I will put screenshots of the connections down the post .
The only way to stop the disconnecting from occuring is to factory reset my router so I have a new client with clean connection UNTIL about hours of Usage my device starts sending them thousands of packets and my router keeps disconnecting me again(Don't blame the router they are A LOT ! JUST see the pictures below)
I have warranty but the providers suck over here in my country and the only thing they can do is either factory reset (Which I already did) or change hardware parts , If they factory reset they won't notice the problem as their Company Network is most likely capable to Take up thousands of active connections (most home routers won't ) and I can't just show them a CATLOG or they would know I rooted .
So If it is possible for an expert to read my logs and tell me if it is a software issue so I can fix it or If it's a hardware issue so I can convince them to fix it , and I would pay a fee if needed or At least direct me to someone who can help for a fee .
(Wouldn't let me to attach Catlog ZIP file so here's the link just Edit it to look like a google drive Link :

Has anyone ran across an issue when changing from WIFI to mobile data that it doesn't switch? Usually when I leave my house and get into the car it doesn't switch to mobile data and I need to restart my phone for it to connect.
I'm seeing this issue, sort of. Not sure if this is the same that's happening to you though. After leaving home/wifi, the phone shows LTE or 5G but the data doesn't work (at least for some apps, I'm not sure if it's all or not).
Restarting does fix this, but for me swapping back and forth between APNs will also fix it for some reason.
Yeh happens on phone as well, as you said the only way to get reconnect is by restarting the phone, really annoying i hope sony will address this issue in the software update
I am on the latest image and I have this problem as well. I hate to be spending time with either Sony or T-Mobile support to find where the issue is. I'm not even sure if T-Mobile will care; they'll probably tell me I'm using an unsupported phone... sigh...
If this issue is not resolved and if the upcoming Galaxy phone happens to come with an sd-card slot (low chance), then I'm returning my Sony and switching to that. So far not impressed with screen brightness for sunny days outside either, and not thrilled about over sensitive or not sensitive enough, dual-personality finger print reader. So my reasons to return are starting mount up...
Oh one more observation. If I try to force connect to another network like ATT, wait for that to fail, then switch to auto-connect right after, then 5G icon comes and I get internet connectivity restored w/o having to restart. This seems to be the only workaround. Otherwise switching mobile data on/off, or switching in and out of airplane mode doesn't do anything.
And... I'm sure I can do this trick when I naturally lose service then come back into service where I only get voice, but no data. This is the thing that most pisses me off. I can anticipate switching in/out of wi-fi and apply the workaround or reboot. But I can't keep checking my phone to see if I constantly have 5G coverage, which is spotty at times to begin with T-Mobile.
Really frustrated with this here....
I had this problem, so did a search and found the same problem with older Sony phone. He said what fixed it was changing the apn settings. Wish I could find that web site again. But basically checked my default apn setting, and it was missing some info. I made a new apn with the correct T-Mobile settings and deleted the old one. And now I don't need a restart to get mobile data working. Never would have thought that would be the fix. Hope this helps

This did the trick!!! Thank you very much! I don't know if Sony was trying to be smart to include the "T-Mobile" APN in the phone, or T-Mobile pushed both "T-Mobile" and "T-Mobile US LTE" APNs over the air, but when I switched from T-Mobile to T-Mobile US LTE, the issue stopped exhibiting.
