[VIDEO] TWRP 2 and Goo Manager Tutorial & Review

TWRP has been reborn!
Teamwin has redone TWRP and released a new version with all sorts of new features.
TWRP 2.1, along with Goo Manager from the Android Play Store (Market) will give you the perfect combination of apps to keep your device up to date with current ROMs and GAPPS.
Be sure to visit http://www.teamw.in for more info!
I followed your tutorial video and everything works fine.
I also did an incremental update today, pretty sweet.
Thanks for your videos and thanks to the devs for all their hard work.
Great video. I'd been using Goo Manager for a while but you still showed me some new stuff. Quick question though, I may have misheard you but did you say that the official nighlies cannot be obtained through the app? Because I thought that "nightly" was the official one.

Excellent question. No, the OFFICIAL CM9 Nightlies are not hosted on the Goo servers, therefore they are NOT the Nightlies you see in Goo Manager. Those are UNOFFICIAL. I had to ask the same question of the Teamwin group.

It would be awesome if there were incremental downloads that didn't format the /system partition. Downloading the entire ROM and having to flash gApps everytime seems a little hectic to me

How do you remove a custom theme from TWRP 2.0 ?
"Note: If you have a custom theme installed from 2.0 or 2.1.0, your theme will need to be updated to see the new features. It is recommended that you remove your custom theme before installing 2.1.1"
EDIT: I C. Just delete the zip in sdcard/TWRP/theme

This looks nice - nicer that the CM9 changelog that is currently available. It is cool having the d/l links there too. Did you make this yourself?
You should post this in the CM9 thread in the dev section. Most people in the General forum won't care about this (unlike actual CM9 users!).
Yes i've created this by my self ! I already feel like i'm spamming i posted it in different device forums

One small suggestion: Could you update the changelogs with device-specific changes as well? No website that have these changelogs (other than Gerrit itself) show device-specific changes.

It already shows device specific changes (merged commits), you just need to select your device from menu and it shows all generic changes and device specific if there is any (by default it opens galaxy s when you visit site).

Great job on the site by the way. Better than CM's own "recommended" site

I must have missed your post in the Development forum. I try to keep tabs on the CM9 thread since although I am not using it at the moment I think it is going to be one of the best roms for the Prime.

Modified updates in cyanogenmod 7

Hi guys I am creating a new ROM and I would like to change the database of updates of CyanogenMod to receive updates released by me and not relased by CyanogenMod, as I do?and how do I get the anonymous stats to me and not to CyanogenMod? Thanks for the answers and excuse me for my bad english
Are you talking about your github log? It will be updated as you commit your changes.

But how do I make him get the updates from my Github account and not from CyanogenMod account? What file should I change?

You need to be more specific as in what you mean by updates. Rom updates as in downloading the lastest rom when there is a new version, changelogs? What?

I want the ROM update itself (obviously, the first requiring the consent of the user) when I release a new version and that the anonymous statistics come to me and not to CyanogenMod
Ok so you want to have a OTA updater, and you want to collect anonymous statistics. Write a Java app that checks a server, compares the version of the current ROM with the one present there, if it's less then downloads the file and prompts the user to reboot into recovery. As to the statistics, that's in the CyanogenMod repo, and if you can't figure it out you shouldn't be collecting them.

Sorry maybe Google translator sucks but I do not understand the issue of anonymous statistical

[September 16][Module][Xposed][LP][KK] TabletMetrics: Report screen > 7" - v5.1.2

[September 16][Module][Xposed][LP][KK] TabletMetrics: Report screen > 7" - v5.1.2
Linked is an Xposed Module that will allow your phone to report its screen size as >= 7", in order to allow an app that does not otherwise spot your phone as a tablet (via, for example, the Per App Settings module), to do so.
It's important NOT to play up any sort of app specific functionality in this thread, as the module is "global" in scope and targets the Android framework level, as opposed to a specific app. Whatever benefit this has for you is neither expressed nor implied.
Tested and working on my Nexus 5 with stock KitKat 4.4 AND Lollipop 5.0.x AND Lollipop 5.1.x, YMMV.
As with all Xposed modules --> install the linked APK --> make the module active --> reboot --> profit.
Note: This module has no front-end UI, so there is nothing to do but install and make active.
Thanks to Rovo89, et al, for the amazing framework.
Note: Same version should now work across KK & LP.
Download Module via Mega --> Download Xposed TableMetrics Module v5.1.2. Be sure to update to the latest Xposed library before reporting problems. Also, if you experience signature issues where module won't install, please uninstall your current version of tabletMetrics first, before installing the latest.
EDIT: 05-Jan-2014 --> Updated to support Samsung Android 4.3 Phones. Huge thanks to @Guitarboarder28 for providing debug logs, screen captures, and testing.

EDIT: 28-Feb-2015 --> Updated version for Lollipop compatibility (v3.0)
EDIT: 17-Mar-2015 --> Updated version for KitKat compatibility (v2.2.1)
EDIT: 30-May-2015 --> Updated LP version (v4.0) for compatibility with Xposed Library version xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip

If you're on an OEM modified ROM (Sense, Touchwiz, Motoblur, etc), where the frameworks have been potentially "adjusted", there's no way to guarantee compatibility.
You can try, and if it works, great. If not, .
Please keep in mind, as stated in the OP and thread title, this is intended (initially) for KitKat (KK) based ROMs.
Having said that, as time permits, I will try and see what (if anything) can be done to support additional flavors.

Nope, have no intention of using dropbox (bandwidth limitations) or gdrive personal accounts.
Justed added a mirror for Mega in the OP.

These require signing up for and approval, for which I did not want to go through / wait on the process to get this to you guys. Mirror added to OP for Mega which doesn't require login. Normal I host my own mods, but figured uploading would be best for this one.
Sorry about that. I didn't realize 4shared required login!
Mega has great download speeds, btw.
Oh, I'm just checking in to say been running with no problems this module, very cool stuff. Thank you very much.

FYI, all, I'm waiting for a few testers to get back to me to see if perhaps those experiencing glitches on Samsung, running Android 4.3 have been resolved.

Ok with Galaxy S2 Stock ROM 4.1.2 . Only turn landscape to fix resolution . Thanks !!!
I'd like to try it on my SGS2 GT-I9100 with XWLSN NeatROM Lite v4.6.1.
1. If I deactivate/uninstall the module will the changes be reverted?
2. I guess I simply have to use the play store to download/install the app.
you should get this included in the xposed installer app downloads list like all the other modules!

Do not! Not buying a mobile phone, it is a misunderstanding, it is to expand new models.
Because we do not have professional English translators. There may be some quotations that lead to some misunderstandings

It's working.
https://bit.ly/2zBD0Dl
So to be clear, I haven't installed the rom.
After taking a look it seems that you pre-installed Dolby ( requires permissive SELinux) , you cracked the theme store., and it seems that you are using SuperSu instead of magisk? Why not provide more details and why use the outdated SuperSu, it will cause the installation to fail google certification, and make the rom insecure.
Serious Question, Why should we use this rom?
