I know it's dumb, but is it possible? Or are we going to see the new Linux kernel in feature Android updates?
It's possible compile the linux kernel 3.x and run Ubuntu in "real" mode?
Someone doing this for Nook Tablet.
Thanks.
Collegues,
I wonder how to build latest linux kernel from off site for Android device (for example Nexus7)?
I have:
AOSP source code
Android build for device (from aosp)
Downloaded kernel 3.8.4 from off site
The question is:
How can I build latest kernel using all described stuff (aosp source, kernel config, latest kernel)?
Thanks!
Ilya.

Hello XDA community i want to ask the devs in here that can help me with upgrading/porting the kernel 3.4.x to our device which comes with the kernel version 3.0.8. I have successfully managed to upgrade it till now to 3.0.19 using the linux patches. so any help would be appreaciated.
