Block permissions? - HTC Rezound

Any apps for blocking permissions that actually work? I installed permissions denied but it never got past checking/fixing permissions. Would love to get total control of permissions.

MIUI based secuirty app... It deletes SuperSu.apk/SuperUser.apk and takes control of permissions with even controlling access to other data. Or just straight allowing everything.
I use it on which ever ROM I happen to be running.

So it deletes root? If it deletes super user? Or keep root but Take the place of super user?

Won't let me block Facebook. more like system apps. Why?

Edit: converted Facebook to user app through titanium backup. But how do you get it to show trusted or system apps?

umm yea, that was my point.
but since you brought it up it can be done with any file explorer that can mount /system. as well as adb.
You can actually uninstal Sprint wallet, radio, NASCAR, and blockbuster without temp root.

Dude, I know that. But all the ones I've seen like(root explorer) cost money, and I was lookin for apps that r free that work with the temp root.. I also was trying to help other ppl out too. Everyone knows that if u have the temp root and do something to ur phone and then restart, it will go away and u have to do it again. That's why its a temp root. Don't try to be a smart ass, if u don't have anything useful to say to help others, don't reply

Correct.
So they are just frozen.
They still take up exactly the same amount of space on your emmc.
Unless they are system hogs, and run in the background, DAE know what the point of 'uninstalling' these might be?
Unless you just don't like to see the icons, I just don't see the point..

Uninstalling Superuser

What would happen? Would apps no longer be able to get root permissions or would they automatically get them?
To the best of my knowledge you can't uninstall superuser without going to back to stock.
Also the apps that need superuser won't work

If you delete the app, nothing will get root anymore. If you delete the su binary, the same thing would happen.

Rooted & looking to uninstall bloat

What's up everyone. Just rooted my Rezound and wanted to get rid of some of the factory installed apps/games etc....
Is there a list of "YES" and "NO" things that I can uninstall so I don't remove something I shouldn't.
Also I got Root uninstaller from the market, will this app do the trick or should I use something different.
Thanks in advance.

Get titanium backup.

Since your rooted, you could try Titanium Backup. It allows you to "freeze" apps which has a similar effect to actual removal but you can unfreeze them if you need to. There are some old list around but they have not been updated in a long time. I have frozen about 43 user apps--just stay away from system apps.
Good luck.
Nvm
Thanks I'll give it a shot

Has anybody noticed the new Play Store Permission?

Some apps that use root access are now showing a SuperSU permission?

great! play store should also not let the user install root apps if they don't have a rooted device, so they can't rate the app complaining it doesn't work for them
Nope
Yes. This is to let users know better because root permissions supersede other permissions.
Apps that don't declare it should be treated cautiously

So apps with SuperSu permission won't have to ask the user the SU priviledges? That would be even more dangerous.

that's where supersu or superuser app is for, it asks if you want to give su access

How do this app work? It claims to boost performance of any Android devixe by tweakin

This app claims to boost performance of android device, how do it work. More importantly is it safe as it ask for SuperSU permission, what is SuperSU permission anyway. I think I heard somewhere that superSU just mean allowing access to the SuperSU app, am I right or is this goong to give the app control over EVERYTHING (ie malware heaven).

Super su or superuser are apps that help you control what has access to your phone. Once rooted your phone becomes mostly free to use as you want. Having an app like supersu will help you keep malware at bay as anything requesting root access needs to go through it. So you aren't open for attack unless you grant something malicious permission
As for the app you want, I can't say how well it works but there are for sure some that help on older phones in particular. Usually any of the tweets an app like this offers you can do yourself manually, this just makes it easier to use. Try it out, if you don't like it delete it

App dont seem to do anything. Could be a case of malware. Like wallpaper apps that ask for dialing permission. Unless ofc other have something good to say about it.

I never used this application, but if you want to increase performance, use Adrenaline engine or Fly on Mod
