So pretend I am not a fan of Samsung Touch Wiz on my note or really any other Samsung Device I have, is there a way to make it a clean version of Android? Have there been any Jelly Bean clean rom's yet

Cool......and welcome back ....g

TouchWiz is Samsung proprietary user interface, so you won't be able to clean it out. To be touchwiz free you will need a AOSP rom, like CM10 based roms. Head over to the development section and look for AOSP or AOKP roms.

[Q] Galaxy S2 roms (TW)

1) Does this launcher work on i9100 Galaxy S2, because many sites redirects to that page, even if the phone is not i9000. If it will not work, what will?
1a) I assume this launcher changes the icons from stock android to Touchwiz looking? If not, what does then?
2) How can i get the closest Touchwiz look on CM10? Can i get any Samsung based applications and widgets, like clock, or weather? I dont like the look of pure vanilla Jelly Bean Android. I understand, that CM10 is currently a preview, and not fully stable, but when it comes out from the ''beta'', i assume things will work better on it?
3) Samsung based roms with customizations would be best. I see, that there are no 4.1.1 based S-based roms. Is that because Samsung hasn't released official 4.1.1 firmware for i9100?
3a) That means that Samsung based Touchwiz things only work on newer versions of Android, if Samsung supports them, with new official roms?
4) What is the talk about people wanting Samsung based (Touchwiz) camera on custom roms?
5) HTC Sense look would also be nice on Jelly Bean. Is that possible? Sense 3, or 4, both look nice.
I appreciate for every answer :good:

Huh... you want a rom built by samsung but that has absolutly nothing samsung made in it? Not sure how's that even possible
There's only 2 ways to go, from what i understand:
- for absolutly nothing related with samsung your best bet is any rom compiled (and modded) from google sources like CM10, aokp, slimbean, etc
or
- any samsung based rom with those aroma setups that allow for the removal of just about anything before installing. In this sense you'll be good with just about any rom you pick since all seem to have it But you'll still have samsung stuff in it since they built it, not sure if there's how to go round that

Will i am new in this android world and in really early stages in modding and flashing ,but the android modding so far is similar to what i use to do with Windows Mobile bck in the days ,it was possible to get stoke WM rom and install it in just any device and build whatever on it

When we will see development of roms in mega?

Its really strange that no developer is coming up for this great device. Even galaxy grand have slim bean, resurrection remix and other roms. Why on earth developers are not trying to make some roms for mega?

Imho the simple reason is Samsung have not made available the SOURCE for the firmware of Mega.
We have a few ROMs and couple guys working on CyanogenMod............yeah maybe we don't have slimbean or PAC or aokp or ....well the list can go on but a stable clean CyanogenMod base is probably more important to get right before creating added features to it.

Damn it is that true? I thought that we have the source for the FW.
So thats the reason why we still stay with stock ROMs. Hmm..
I love my Mega but we need some developer attention that would do miracles around here.
It will all come in time

Truely what is it behind any custom rom that stock rom +utilities could offer! Most of the time with good utilities one could have the best rom there is the stock one (less bugs) and good overall performance ..we can always add or eleminate any stock apps...them drivers are the worst nightmare devs facing specially for latest roms ported for a defferent devices.

My previous phone it was Motorola Defy, with locked bootloader, forgotten by it's parent company and not upgraded any more from Froyo stage. THEN it was sensible to seek custom roms to have newer system.
Now I do not need so - my system is mostly up to date and probly will be upgraded (soon) to KitKat. All TW futures suited me well, so what is the reason to flash not fully functional custom ROM? Rooting the phone is another question (in fact - this is NO question )

Omega not moving to latest Samsung ROM?

Unfortunately, since my post count is low, I'm unable to ask this the official thread for Omega, but rather have to ask it here in the Q&A section.
The most recent Omega ROM based on Samsung's release is v58, built upon Samsung's XXUGNB6. However, it appears that Samsung has since then released at-least 1 update: XXUGND5 around 2014-April
Other Samsung based ROMs (like Android Revolution HD v52) have moved to XXUGND5, but I like Omega and would prefer to not move to another ROM.
The other Omega ROMs (AOKP & Omni) seem to be regularly updated, so I'm wondering why Omega didn't embrace this Samsung ROM.
