Bootloop in CWM - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

While trying to install CM9 onto my phone using instructions given here
Install CM-9 Stable Release
I accidentally forgot to put in the required files into my sd card before starting with the rest of the process.
Now, I'm stuck in a CWM bootloop with no way to put in a kernel file to flash.
I tried mounting a flash drive as an external USB storage. But apparently, that doesn't work in CWM as of now. I'm running v5.5.0.4
So, to summarise, I'm stuck in CWM with no external storage to rely on and no knowledge of how to push in files to my internal memory. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

Fix your phone via sus or pc companion first

But I'm unable to boot. What good would either of these 2 do me?

Have you unlocked your bootloader? Fixing via sus or pc companion will boot up your phone

Use flashtool to flash one of the stock roms to get it back to stock and go from there

I got that problem solved, but on trying to flash cm-9, there've been a new set of errors encountered.
I find no option called mount /sdcard
only unmount....
Any help please??

Unmount it first, then mount.
What specific problem you have right now? If you experienced bootloop that means you didn't wiped dalvik cache before installing your new ROM. Wiped it first.

I'll try that now itself. Thanks !
I wiped system, cache and dalvik cache before proceeding.

Did you flash kernel required bcoz ics requires ics kernel. So flash it first then rom and bhai press thanks button instead of writing it

[Q] HELP: Omega 9.1 boots into CWM

I'd really appreciate some help guys, I've searched everywhere but can't seem to find answers.
I had Cyanogen Mod 9 rooted on my phone, however, I decided to install Omega instead, I installed it but I can't get on it! Everytime I install zip and reboot, it goes back to CWM Recovery!
The procedure was:
-deleted all files in internal SD
-Reboot into CWM Recovery
-Wipe data,cache,dalvik
-install zip from sd card
and now im stuck
Please help, and apologies if any noob mistakes were made

You'll lose all your data but do a factory reset and wipe your system in addition to what you've already done and re flash the rom. FYI always have a nandroid backup around before flashing. It's time consuming but saves you a lot of grief in the long run

Factory reset(wipe) is an option in cwm(3rd from above) wipe and reflash the rom and let it boot, this can take 10min
1st check md5 .. it will show u wether its bad download or nt ... and then do this
go into cwm and to wipe data\factory reset wipe cache wipe dalvik and insll rom ..
omega 10 is up so better try omega 10 as its new rom :

Factory reset is on the main Cwm screen. You can wipe system through the 'mounts and storage' option

How would put it into my internal SD if I can't transfer the file because I can only boot into Recovery or Download mode? Do I just Odin it straight in via the PDA option?
If you connect your phone with the PC while in recovery you should be able to use adb commands
Put the rom file into the adb folder than try
Code:
adb devices
now you should see any cryptic combination of letters and numbers in the next row
(if you see a empty row... that wouldn't be nice^^)
then do:
Code:
adb push yourromfile.zip /sdcard/yourromfile.zip
than try flashing again the new file
dont forget to do a full wipe, cache wipe, dalvik wipe, the common procedure^^
PS:
If you don't know about adb, it is installed with the android sdk, but you can download it seperately
place the ADB folder somewhere on you system hd, maybe directly to C:\
the open cmd and type
cd C:\ADB\
now you're able to use the above commands
You can put it on an external sd and flash it from there...
Verstuurd van mijn GT-I9300 met Tapatalk
Thank you, all of you... I will try this tomorrow and tell you guys how it goes!
Thank you so much EVERYONE, It all worked out, seems like the original file was corrupted, now running omega 10 smoothly!!!!!!!

[Q] Softbricked my i9300

Hi All,
i think i just softbricked my S3. i was running Omega rom 33.2 and found the phone was unstable. Hence i wiped data, factory reset, clear dalvik cache and etc. after flashing the rom, it got stucked at samsung boot screen.
i even tried to reflash the rom but still failed to boot up. after that i decided to flash stock rom using Odin (I9300ZSDLK2). it managed to boot in but then it got stucked at recovery (failed to mount /system (Invalid argument). i thought it could be something wrong with the /system, i then flash CWM to format /system. obvious i wont be asking for help if that step succeeded. i basically got pawned because i am not able to mount /system. anybody can help me?
Have you tried flashing your nandroid backup that you'll have made at one time before flashing a ROM?

no backup. i think nandroid restore wont help also because of /system is dead. i need to solve /system mounting issue.
Try full format then flash a stock firmware package in Odin.
Go into mounts and storage and format: System, data, cache and internal SD if you have it backed up.
Then re flash stock firmware, this has got me out of soft bricks lots of times.

If you are able to get into download mode, you can try flashing a PIT file. It will either really brick your phone or fix it. Search for the PIT file in the forums.
Remember when u flash a rom with pit file u need to tick repatition in odin..
But only do THIS in your case, never do it otherwise..
Good luck

Its my phone Btw and yeah it is gb 2.3.5, btw ive tried some steps i found around in some forums, and none worked so please help me with this issue! Thanks!
Basic recovery comes with those 4 options only so nothing is lost...only CWM has more options
Now...don't ever do a factory reset and wiping cache before installing new rom...when you install a new rom it itself formats them
Again...CUT your rom from sd card to computer and again copy it to your sd card....SAFELY REMOVE and again choose apply update from sd card
If this too didn't work...download a new rom and follow what I've said

[Q] Bootloop On Sony Bootscreen !

I't all started when i tried to install a custom rom (Zelly Cream to be exact) on my xperia neo. Before installing it, i first rooted it with a locked bootloader and all was fine. Then i proceeded to install the custom rom. Before installing it, i -
1. Wipe data/factory reset.
2. Wipe cache partition.
3. Wipe dalvic cache under advanced menu.
4. Wipe battery stats under advanced menu.
5. Format data under mount and storage menu.
6. Format system under mount and storage menu.
7. Format cache under mount and storage menu.
8. Install zip from sd card.
Then i entered aroma installer and all was fine until the first boot when it just went to the sony boot screen and it would just bootloop from there. The main problem is that i cant get into recovery even though how mush i try. I made a nandroid backup before doing all of this and i wish to restore this backup. I am new to all of this stuff so please PLEASE help. I don't know what to do. BTW flashtool would just say device disconnected when i connected the phone to it. I'm running ics 4.0.4. Thanks in advance..

Can you boot to recovery?
If yes, then flash the stock ROM again from your previous backup.
If you cannot boot to recovery, then you may need to flash the recovery again.
Generally all phones support a download mode. I don't know about yours. But the procedure is to keep the image file on the root folder of the sd card which has a specific name. The phone looks for it and automatically flashes it. If there is no sdcard support then you do this by connecting your phone via USB & another software (such as ODIN in Samsung).

I can boot to recovery, but flashing or doing a factory reset will result in data loss... which I am not very keen because there are few imp data in my mobile..
Remove SIM.
Reboot.
If Rom boots successfully, power off and replace Sim. Then Rom will boot successfully. It is only the initial boot that is problematic.
It is a known problem with ICS Roms and I have faced this issue couple of times.

Out of ideas now.
Other than restoring from backup, I don't know any other way.
If you have a backup, it would be worth trying a reset to see if you can get to boot. You can retore individual data later.
If your device was configured to back up your apps and settings to your google account, then your data will be automatically synchronized and you won't lose anything.
It seems like a failed flash of the Rom to me.
