My phone has been randomly crashing when ever it is locked. Usually when i receive text, i press the power key to turn on the screen but only the bottom menu lights come on and the screen is off. Does anyone know why this is happening?

As fox said ....JB for this device is buggy on some devices ...not all ...
I ran the XxX rom also for a bit and had the same problem ...
I'm back on FJ's ICS build 5 ..
The only fix ATM is a non JB build ...or a version of it that works with your particular device ....g
Can you link me the stable JB roms? I want to use JB but i don't want the consistent crashes.

Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1
and CM10 ROM 2..

Hello guyz..hurry up..Poll it
TO help others..
Hi guys. I need some help from you all, if you got the time for it.
Last year I decided that I want to have my SGS2 to stock and no root. Back then I was still learning.
After I changed a few roms I kept the stock one and had a casual root on my phone. After the changes I made I ended up with a ROM in which I cant swipe from the last page to the first one I have to swipe back thru all the others. This isn't such a big problem for me but it still mathers and my battery life seems so be quite unstable. I even noticed that when playing a game my phones CPU starts to get really hot(a problem that before didnt occur). Even the games from Rovio dont work on this ROM.
So my request to you guys is if would be kind and link me up with the ROM i need and kernel. Here how my phone was before I set it to stock:
Phone status and information:
Model number: GT-i9100; Android 4.0.3; Baseband version i9100XXLPW; Kernel version 3.0.15 [email protected] #k3-20; Build number IML74K.XXLPW
If you could bring it back to "normal" that'd be great. Main point is the ROM to be nearly the same as the stock one but with that swipe from last to first page. And the rom to ne a [email protected]
Thanks in advance, for giving up your free time for my need!
Just install another launcher...

Donnie could you suggest a ROM good with the battery, stock look http://goo.gl/xgbJR and haves that option to show the battery %.
If you find such ROM link it to me so I may flash it with odin on my phone and then I will choose one of hardcores' speed mods. And that should make my phone look and be like before.

HI..
I installed this AOKP JB-MR1 4.2.2 build 4 for my i9100 ( international version) a week back.. Has been stable so far..Noticed a few glitches..
1. The wifi toggle does not function while turning the wifi on.. meaning, i need to hard press the key, go into wifi settings and then turn it on, rather than being able to directly turn it on.. The switch-off toggle works well though
2. The phone automatically goes into silent mode intermittently ..
Looked around in the forum, but didnt find any mention of this.. Any fixes?
I'm running Siyah-Dorimanx V8.00ICS/JB kernel..

2.again it's the bugs

stick with the stock cm kernel that comes with the rom. Or you can switch to Root box rom which is almost bug free and has so many customizations
Hi all, As I said, here comes the first version of android 4.3 for the x10. This is based on the evervolv ROM.
The binaries can be found in evervolv 4.3 folder.
https://www.wuala.com/CMX10-Releases/?key=CMX10Team
BUGS
NO CWM delivered with kernel
NO CHARGEMON
The WLOD that because famous with android 4.3
Maybe a lot more.
Install
Copy ROM on your SD card.
Wipe Data and Cache
Get into CWM and install ROM.
Flash the kernel.ftf using flashtool
This is an early version, I might not have time to work on it a lot. If someone wants the sources before their released, PM me.
Scritch
PS: Forgot the little disclaimer.
No warranty about this. I can't be blamed if somethings goes wrong or if phone is damaged. Use at your own risk.

There's some pretty cool version of JB. The CM10 now has every thing except hardware video encoding/decoding. Everything else is working nicely.
CM10.1 and Everolv 4.2 and 4.3 have an issue with the kernel. But I can't manage to fix it. So we've been working on newer kernel, 2.6.32 but it has a camera issue. And we're trying to port a newer kernel, but it's not that easy.

Some other options i cant find - for example i cant change icns on status bar - wifi, sync or something else - i dont know chow too change it ;p
But ROM can be nice in the future i like it too in alpha stage its better then other in beta ;p
One more thing - is it possible to restore USB charge or something like this to kernel? Becouse i read You remowe this options from source code and from 4.X kernel we cant use other then Sony charger - i have Philips charger for 2 phones but cant use it.
