Don't go through this pain dude.. As you have already unlocked your bootloader than simple flash an advanced ICS kernel and enjoy

use this method
Note – This method of rooting currently doesn’t allow you to flash new kernels (so no overclocking) but you can flash new ROMs.
Before we begin, check the software number on your phone by going to Settings->About Phone->Software Information.
Your software number should be 2.08.651.2 or LATER. If not, go do the software update under Settings->System Updates->HTC software update and start over.
For Mac users, please replace “fastboot” with “./fastboot-mac” in the instructions below.
For Linux users, please replace “fastboot” with “./fastboot-linux” in the instructions below.
Step 1. Download rootevo3dnew.zip file and unzip to root folder of your hard disk or desktop
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/HTCEvo3D/rooting/rootevo3dnew.zip
Step 2. Put your Evo 3D in fastboot mode by first going to Settings->Power and make sure “Fast boot” is checked off.
Step 3. Turn off your phone then power up by holding down Power Button and Volume Down button.
Step 4. Hit Power again to enter Fastboot.
Step 5. Connect your Evo 3D to your computer, your phone should say “Fastboot USB”.
Step 6. For Windows, install the HTC drivers HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe in the zip file. For Linux and Mac you don’t need to install drivers.
Step 7. Open up a command prompt in Windows by typing “cmd” under Start->Search and for Linux and Mac, open up a terminal.
Step 8. Go browse into the directory where you unzipped rootevo3dnew.zip, for Windows:
cd \rootevo3dnew
or
cd Desktop\rootevo3dnew
if you unzipped to your desktop.
For Mac and Linux, likewise:
cd /rootevo3dnew
or where you unzipped the files to.
Step 9. Next type:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
You should get a bunch of code. If you don’t, you have an older OTA, go do the software update under Settings->System Updates->HTC software update and start over.
Step 10. Now, copy everything starting with <<<< Identifier Token Start >>>> and ending with <<<<< Identifier Token End >>>>> .
*Note – In Windows, when you copy, sometimes it adds a white space to the beginning, if you get errors, try copying the token to Notepad then getting rid of spaces before pasting it to HTC’s site.
Step 11. Go to HTCDev.com and sign up as a user. Then goto Unlock Bootloader->Get Started->Begin Unlock Bootloader. Agree to the legal terms, proceed all the way to Step 10 and paste the token you just copied.
Step 12. If you get errors, try the Notepad tip above, otherwise you should be getting a file called Unlock_code.bin as an attachment in your e-mail.
Download this file off your e-mail then copy the file over to the rootevo3dnew directory.
Step 13. Next go back to your command prompt/terminal and type:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
Step 14. Go to your phone and hit the Volume Up button and then Power button to unlock bootloader.
Step 15. If you got this far, congratulations, your Evo 3D’s bootloader has been unlocked!!!
Step 16. Your phone will reboot.
Step 17. Put your Evo 3D in fastboot mode by first going to Settings->Power and make sure “Fast boot” is checked off. (Again, yes).
Turn off your phone then power up by holding down Power Button and Volume Down button.
Hit Power again to enter Fastboot.
Step 18. Type the following to install ClockworkMod Recovery:
fastboot flash recovery cwm-4.0.1.4-shooter.img
Step 19. Go back to your phone and choose Bootloader then hit the Power Button.
Then choose Recovery then hit the Power Button.
Step 20. When you get Revolutionary CWM blue menus, go to “mounts and storage” using your Volume buttons and hit the Power button.
Then choose “mount USB storage” and hit the Power button.
Step 21. Go to your computer and copy over su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip to your Evo 3D.
Step 22. Go back to your phone and hit Power button to get out of USB mode. Then choose “+++++Go Back+++++” and hit the Power button.
Then choose “install zip from sdcard” and hit the Power button.
Then choose “choose zip from sdcard” and hit the Power button.
Then choose su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip and hit the Power button.
Choose “Yes” and hit the Power button.
Step 23. Reboot and enjoy root!
FAQ
After rooting my Evo 3D using HTC Unlock method, I still get S-ON?
It doesn’t matter, the HTC Unlock method gives you a fully unlocked bootloader, the S-ON is meaningless once you unlock as you can install recovery and ROMs.
You CAN flash Kernels with HTC Method!!!!!
and really another one of these guides?
Hello,
I've rooted my atrix today using rootzwiki without any problems and there was a boot loader unlock tutorial, my device is 2.3.4 4.5.91 at&t but unfortunately I used .sbf for international users and not for at&t..ending up with "no os" no boot/recovery so tried to flash "1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf" (mistake?) with no success, then flash "4547-fix-try2.sbf" for at&t but no success.
Don't know what to do Plz help me
Download fastboot here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/30173981/fastboot.zip
Download a ROM such as
CM7 Based ROM (Neutrino ROM)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398819
CM9 Alpha/Beta
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445052
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500535
OR Blur Based Rom (NottachTrix4G)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1567241
Have the ZIP file ready
Extract contents of the fastboot zip in the c drive root in a folder called "fastboot" without the quotes
Install the Motorola Drivers, included in the fastboot folder I provided
Next, download a recovery, such as romracer's recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500
(Rename img file to recovery.img)
And put the recovery.img file in the fastboot folder
Open a command window (Start > Run > CMD OR Start > type 'Command Prompt'), type "cd\fastboot" without the quotes > Press enter
Next power on phone, in fastboot mode (hold power button and volume down and press volume down to look for fastboot, volume up to select it), plug it in
Go to your command window and type
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” without the quotes
Once that is done, do
"fastboot reboot" without the quotes
Once the phone is at the Motorola logo, power it off.
Power it back on and go into Android Recovery (hold power button and volume down and press volume down to look for Android Recovery, volume up to select it), plug it in
(recovery navigation is volume up/down is up and down, select is power button)
From here, go to mount and storage and mount USB and dump the rom zip in the root and go back on the phone and factory reset, wipe cache and install zip from SD card. Find the zip file and install it. Once that’s done reboot and your phone should boot up in the ROM of your choice.

You did not unlock your boot loader, download this if you have an at&t atrix
http://diamantephoto.com/pudding.rar
or if its an international atrix
http://diamantephoto.com/IHOP_Bell.rar
download the sbf and flash using rsdlite and retry my steps again
OK OK
Once you enter that line, if you don't get an error make sure the command prompt says "C:\path\to\fastboot\ > __" confirming that you are working in the right directory. Now type 'fastboot oem unlock' (fastboot tells command prompt to work with fastboot.exe and oem unlock is a command within the program). It will reply a warning about breaking warranty, etc., and also a lengthy ID for your phone.
Now type 'fastboot oem unlock ####' where #### is your ID. And finally 'fastboot reboot'. Your phone will obviously restart and you can close out of the command prompt.
When turning on your phone will say! "Unlocked" on the Motorola boot screen, jump up and down in joy!!!

If you do these steps exactly then your phone can enter the recovery normally and you can flash any stock or custom rom.
1- Download and install Minimal ADB and Fastboot from this link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24521665358595410
2- Download and install Flashtool drivers from this link: http://doomlord.xperia-files.com/download.php?dlid=Rmxhc2h0b29sLWRyaXZlcnMtMS41LTIwMTQwMzE4
Skip Step 2 if you already installed Flashtool Drivers that install with Flashtool if you have installed it.
3- Download the latest twrp recovery from this link: https://dl.twrp.me/sirius/twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img.html
4- Move the twrp recovery that you have downloaded in step 3 to this Path C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot
5- Download this kernel from this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwn7bAJ-USZjZzg0Q2I2RWlWa1U/view?pref=2&pli=1
6- Extract it then you will find boot.img take this file and move it too to this Path C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot
7- put your phone in fastboot mode by this way >> (Power off your phone completely then wait for 10 second then press and hold the volume up then connect your phone to the computer with usb cable while you are pressing and holding the volume up then the led will change it's color to blue.. that is the fastboot mode)
8- Now go to the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder in that path (C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot) Press shift button from keyboard then press right click form mouse while pressing the shift button you will find an option [Open command window here] Press it.
9- In the command window write this command exactly: fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img
10- Then write this command after it: fastboot flash boot boot.img
11- After it flashed successfully reboot your phone by writing this command: fastboot reboot then unplug the usb from the phone
12- when the phone reboot and the sony logo appears keep pressing the volume up and down until the twrp recovery opens
13- Done
I wish that i had helped you. if you want any thing just ask me and i will answer.
Hey there!
so, I just upgraded my z5c from MM CyanogenMod to this nougat ROM > [ROM][7.0][Stock][.33][3.7 b7][Deodex][DeBloat][Font][Stereo][Vulkan™] Xperia Loop™
Before the update I could enter TWRP without any problems.
Now, everytime I try to boot into recovery the phone simply reboots...
Things I've tried:
• Typed "adb reboot recovery" on CM
• Downloaded TWRP App to re-flash and click on "recovery reboot"
• Power up phone holding Volume Down
The phone is rooted with SuperSU.
The main reason I wanted to regain access to recovery is to re-root the phone with Magisk.
Thanks for your time.
1. install fastboot and fastboot drivers on your pc (if you don't have them obviously)
2. plug the phone into the pc using the usb cable while holding the volume + button (this way you will skip the adb part)
3. wait for the notification light to go blue
4. go into the fastboot directory
5. download the twrp "recovery.img" file and put it into the fastboot directory
6. hold shift while right-clicking into the directory where fastboot is
7. use the option to open a cmd into the directory
8. type in "fastboot boot recovery.img"
if your phone's fastboot drivers don't have signature (like it happened to me) download Zadig and create a signature for the driver
Hope this helps... i had the same problem and solved by doing this
