For a while i saw that all the "custom" ROM`s have this tweak called "Smooth Scrolling" allready implemented!
Well...i don`t like those so-called "custom" ROM`s but i would like the Smooth Scrolling Tweak on my phone!
So...can anyone tell me where i can find that tweak, please?
Or can it be posted here
Thanks
+1 for this

i think that the "smooth scrolling tweak" thing is nothing but a lie!
so many of you that are posting "custom rom`s" using it but no one can tell where to download it from or how can i install it,
or post it here, assuming that you already have it on your pc since you implemented into the...again..."custom rom"!

yes...i know...less bloatware...more ram
but...this is not a tweak to mention it as a "special feature" of a custom rom?

Hi guys, i was watching Arc's forum and i found an interesting flashable zip for improve arc's performances and stabily; Here the link to the original thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1249387
When i saw "Render UI with GPU", i was surprised cause i know that gingerbread does not support GPU acceleration. So, i took a look at the content of the package and i found an interesting line added in build.prop:
video.accelerate.hw=1
So, I tried to add this line to my build.prop (wolf v5 rom) and after reboot seems that my touch responsiveness is changed..touch quality is not better but seems that scrolling speed is increased!! Maybe it is just a placebo effect but i notice some improvment expecially in:
-SE home menu scrolling
-SE home widgets overview (try to shake the phone and watch widgets movement)
So..Seems very strange that a so simple modify can be increase performance and nobody here ( great devs and modder) find it yet!! So this is just a test..so who want can try and report if this tweak work or not!!
Procedure:
-Open your build.prop with an explorer (rot explorer for ex.) (root required)
-Add this line:
video.accelerate.hw=1
-Save and close
-Reboot
Let's know me what do you think.
All credits and thanks to W1000i that share this files in Arc forum
Cheers
Francesco
Its already included in my ROM So i found it^^
I put that line in my build.prop and see no difference.
This tweak did the job in removing homescreen lag in Erenz's MIUI

Is there anything not included in your rom?
Do I insert that line at the bottom of the build prop.
Because mine last line = ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
Can I put it under there?

That only works after honeycomb....
any effect is placebo
I feel like it actually work.. scrolling was never so smooth.. maybe a little difference but that line certainly really does something..
Thank you for the tweak/tip will give it a try...
I did some research, the os has to support it and it was implemented in honeycomb
Thank you for sharing this djkekko89, Im using EWJet's rom and notice everything seems much more responsive, screen transitions are quicker, pinch-zooming in the browser seems much smoother and so on.

Yes mate..i know that..infact i wrote that in the OP..honeycomb are the first android version that use RenderScript to accelerate the UI..so this is the reason why this is only a test..we must figure out if there are really improves or not..anyway i'm searching in other forum and seems that other devs/modder are using this tweak..thanks to all for testing!

I observed, CyanogenMod already facilitates some of those tweaks without touching build.prop file...
For example, I wanted to improve touch response more..

Above lines were already added in my build.prop, which I observed gets added automatically when we change "Overscrolling weight" to "Extra Light" in CyanogenMod Settings.
Locking home screen in memory is also there in CM settings.
I just yse the power saving lines...without any lagfree or turboboost script

First of all Rom Toolbox is an app xD xD xD
It can block ads, change fonts ,browse files, etc
But its coolest feature is the boot animation changer...u can download and change the boot animation with it
NOTE: ull have to resize the animation to 320*480 using the boot animation editor included in the app ...
EDIT :the boot animations part is a feature of ABSOLUTE SYSTEM ROOT TOOLS ...sorry for confusing the two ...sorry ...

AVP Calculator
Hey guys, after two weeks, I came up with this! Certainly useful for a school student like me!!
There are a lot of calculators out there in Google Play. All of them perform arithmetic functions to give you the desired result.
My app is different. Suppose you want to calculate the area or volume of a figure, you know the given values, but you don't remember the formulae to find it. AVP Calculator is the solution to that problem. Loaded with 7 2D figures and 5 3D figures (and their types), this app helps you to calculate area and perimeter of 2D figures, and volume and surface area of 3D figures. AVP = A(rea)+V(olume)+P(erimeter).
The 2D figures include:
+Square
+Rectangle
+Circle
+Parallelogram
+Rhombus
+Triangle (with types)
+Trapezium
The 3D figures include:
+Cone
+Cuboid
+Cylinder (with types)
+Cube
+Sphere
Hope you like the app. Screenshots attached. Thanks to tjsgy for providing me with the SS of v1.2, when my phone wasn't working.

hi guys first of all thanks for your hard work!
Now, i have a question for you! My best friend bought the xperia go because he is a cook and in a kitchen is easy to get wet and dirty. But he also have latex gloves on all the time. So he needs float touch, or at least glove mode, but i think it is the same. Now i'm on a galaxy s plus and we have this FloaTouch app I use it and i can use anything with my gloves on and i can easy choose when and how much float i want.
Is it possible to build it from your mod? if yes do you have the knowledge and the time to build it? and if you have just the knowledge could you teach me? thanks in advance and again thanks fo your good work!

ok, but could it be that if you put a lower value it become less precise but more sensible? so it would receive input from your glove and a really crapy input from your finger? or this things are absolutly not related?
